OZZY OSBOURNE: Albums Ranked (From Worst to Best) - Rank 'Em All (Black Sabbath)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 июл 2024
- In todays video I'm going to rank all full-length albums of Ozzy Osbourne's solo band. Ozzy Osbourne started his solo career upon leaving Black Sabbath in the late seventies. With albums like Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin, Ozzy re-established himself in the eighties. Ozzy is one of the best selling hard rock / metal bands of all time and he has had a very varied discography with a lots of cool metal songs but also lots of ballads and more radio friendly tunes. The man is a true legend and this is a ranking of a madman's discography. Enjoy!!

Jake E. Lee deserves more love. He may not be Randy, but he's still got some great songwriting chops and is a solid lead guitarist.
Totally Jake E Lee was great, way better than Zach Wylde
Yes!
The Ultimate Sin it's my second favorite album from Ozzy's discography, and this it certainly is due to Jack Lee's insane guitar riffs.
for sure! Cheers!
Jake is the best guitarist Ozzy has ever played with. Calm down,of course I mean solo. Tony Iommi remains tops of ALL time. As well it is TONY that is the real Prince of Darkness. Ozzy would be the jester, maybe. Anyway #1 Jake ( hello Badlands greatest 80s lp ever ),#2 Randy then Brad Gillis then Bernie Torme. Waaaaaaaay behind is Zakk " the perpetual pincher " Wylde heading up the rest of the no faced dudes in and out of Ozzy's group.
I’m not a big fan of Ozzy’s solo stuff, but I really like The Ultimate Sin. Jake’s playing on that album was fantastic.
Cheers!
I am the big fan of ozzy osbourne for solo not in black sabath
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle second band or second album??????@🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ultimate Sin is my favorite for sure. I think it's also his most consistent record too. Jake shreds like a fucking monster on it too.
Cheers!
Best album cover for sure
Diary of a madman !
Number one for me , hands down.
Fond memories.
Many thanks for posting.
Thank you! Cheers!
I haven't listened to Ozzy as much, but I'll Rank the Albums.
11 - Ordinary Man
10 - Black Rain
9 - Scream
8 - Down to Earth
7 - No More Tears
6 - No Rest for the Wicked
5 - Ozzmosis
4 - The Ultimate Sin
3 - Bark at the Moon
2 - Diary of a Madman
1 - Blizzard of Ozz
Ordinary Man is probably why I stopped listening to Ozzy as much.
R.I.P. Randy Rhoads and Lee Kerslake.
Cheers!
That’s almost a perfect list. Why not? Let’s call it perfect. That’s a perfect list.
For me it was Ozzmosis that made me a fan. I was 16 1996 and never heard Ozzy before two day later I bought first album and dairy of a madman. Then I fell in love in Black Sabbath.
awesome, Cheers!
1. Diary of a Madman
2. Blizzard
3. Bark at the Moon
4. The Ultimate Sin
5. No Rest for the Wicked
6. No More Tears
7. Ozzmosis
I don't own (and haven't even heard) any of the rest, so can't comment. Diary is so far out in front of the rest of the discography IMO as it's one of my top-25 favorites of all time, while Blizzard might barely crack the top-100.
Cheers!
I concur. If they cranked Jake's guitar up and turned the damn keyboards down on Bark at the Moon it might have jumped up a spot for me.
I lost interest after No rest,, But you have the top 5 appropriately listed...
Killer of Giants is so wildly underrated of a song.
Cheers!
Hell yeah thank you for the appreciation of Ultimate Sin.
Cheers!
This video is coming at the perfect time. Keep making these! They are gold
thanks boss. Cheers!
Love to see these rankings of classic hard rock/metal bands/acts -- nice job as always
Thanks boss!
My favorites are the first two, Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman.
Cheers!
Another clever analysis and evaluation.Thank you for your time.
thank you, Cheers!
Wow! Ultimate Sin is one of my favorites! Glad to see others rate it highly too!
Cheers!
Actually my favorite Ozzy's album is Bark At The Moon. Then I put Diary Of a Madman, The Ultimate Sin and Blizzard Of Ozz. I like No More Tears and No Rest For The Wicked too, but not as much as first 4 albums. Cheers!
Cheers!
I have a similar opinion, for me it's difficult to choose between Bark at The Moon and Diary of a Madman, I choose this last only because Randy Rhoads is one of my favorite guitarists ever (but I love Jake E. Lee as well).
I can never decide what album I like most out of the first 4. I guess it depends on the mood I'm in. No rest and no more tears are probably the last of any decent Ozzy albums. Any albums after that are constantly changing down a gear or two. Maybe it's because I grew up listening to it since 83 and hearing Sabbath during the 70s has made me fussy with "high" expectations.
I feel like I listen to Ozzy every day been waiting for this one mate!
yeah, he comes with the mother milk. Cheers!
I have to say the top 4 for me are:
1. Diary of a Madman
2. The Ultimate Sin
3. Blizzard of Ozz
4. Bark at the Moon
Only because these are the only Ozzy albums I like to still listen to. No Rest has not aged well with me No More Tears is ok, just listen to it more on the radio than anything and that’s about the only song on the album I like. Ozzman Cometh was meh and everything after I heard at least once and was not thrilled, I was bored and uninspired. Other than that, thanks for sharing this video Brother. cheers!
Yeah I think those are the top 4 for most people. even if bark at the moon is a bit uneaven. Cheers!
I love those 4 albums, jake e lee and randy rhoades are some of the greatest guitarists to ever work with ozzy
I'll have to give Blizzard of Ozz and Ultimate Sin another back to back spin.
Cheers!
Great list! 👏👏
Cheers! 🤘
I love Ozzy! One of my favorite metal singers of all time!
1. Blizzard Of Ozz
2. The Ultimate Sin
3. Bark At The Moon
4. No Rest For The Wicked
5. Diary Of A Madman
6. No More Tears
7. Ozzmosis
8. Scream
9. Black Rain
10. Ordinary Man
11. Down To Earth
Cheers!
I was already missing your videos, cheers! 😆🤣🇧🇷
I'm still at it. ;) Cheers!
Blizzard of Ozz, the Ultimate Sin, No Rest for the Wicked, Diary of a Madman and No More Tears are some of my favorite Ozzy Osborne albums. He also puts on a great live show. RIP Randy Rhoads.
Cheers!
Nice album ranking Diary is my # 1 too \m/
Cheers!
Awesome List! Great to see Ultimate Sin that High, is one of my absolute favorites!
yeah, it's one of his best for sure! Cheers!
@@RuthlessMetalYT Absolutely!
Great knowledgeable narration I never knew any of this
thanks man. Cheers!
Your top two are mine as well. It is always such a difficult decision to decide which is first because each is so masterful in my opinion. Amazing list as always my friend.
Here is my top 8 (I still haven't heard the last few albums).
1. The Ultimate Sin
2. Diary of A Madman
3. Bark At the Moon
4. Blizzard of Ozz
5. No More Tears
6. Ozzmosis
7. No Rest for the Wicked
8. Back to Earth
Cheers!
Nailed it! Thank you for placing Ultimate Sin so high, it's my personal favourite! My only disagreement is with No more tears vs No Rest. I think the latter is pretty much relentless 80s metal with a monster sound.
Cheers!
I totally agree with your list, the top 4 are the same for me, plus that guitar riff at the start of the Ultimate sin is heavy as he'll, great list! Cheers!
Cheers!
OZZY never dies! he is just a modern day genius of Heavy Metal, he did it! not a bad guy as well, Love to share stories with Mr.Oz anytime he is classic always, I can play all his early records a billion times and just enjoy it! he is timeless not big on BS but hey it was awesome.
cheerz brother "The Ultimate Sin" killer songs and deadly singing and still !!!HE LIVES!!!
Cheers!
dont jinx him bro!
This ranking is virtually identical to mine. Awesome that you rank The Ultimate Sin so highl, Jake's playing on that is world class. "Never" is a monster of a track, the main riff on the title track is evil af, "Killer of Giants" is basically Jake's "Diary of a Madman", which means it's genius.
you've got good taste then! ;) Cheers! 🤘
Pretty much spot on for the ranking. Still waiting on the Venom rank em all!
Venom is next up. I might do another video before that but in a week or two it should be done. Cheers!
Hell! yeah! Venom ! Cheers!
Just out of curiosity . You ever going to Rank Possessed
I was really impressed with 'No Rest For the Wicked' with the first side, especially with "Miracle Man" and "Crazy Babies", with Zakk Wylde and his amazing guitar style. But in 1988, I was having a renewed love epiphany with metal, so i just embraced everything.
yeah, it's not a bad record but it's a bit strange. Cheers! 🤘
New subscriber here. Really great content in this channel.
Thank you! Cheers!
I only listen to Ozzy in Sabbath. His only solo album I listen to is the '82 live album "Speak of the Devil".
Cheers!
OzzY OzzY OzzY!
I agree! Diary Of A Madman is a truly beautiful album. It's because of the magic of Rhoads, Daisly, & Kerslake with OzzY bringing the vocals.
While I never saw Randy Rhoads play live, I remember when I heard that he had died. What a loss to the world. Randy's solo & outro on Over The Mountain is the greatest guitar solo of all time.
Yes 100% Diary of A Madman is the BEST OzzY album ever. The amazing thing about it is that it was rushed (they had to get back on the road) it took them 6 weeks to write & record this masterpiece. That's "extra extra crazy" as Ozxy would say.
I would rank his other studio albums as
2 Blizzard Of Ozz
3 Ultimate Sin
4 No More Tears
5 Bark At The Moon
6 No Rest for The Wicked
7 to 11 OzzY made more solo albums after No More Tears?
I didn't bother, Ozzy claimed he would do no more touring and said goodbye to everyone on his No More Tears Tour (No More Tours). He claimed retirement so do any of his albums matter afterwards?
No More Tears was a good album. It was leaps and bounds better than No Rest4tWicked

🤘Awesome list of king Ozzy🤘

I think my favorite Ozzy albums are
1. The Ultimate Sin (full of catchy songs and Shot In The Dark is my absolute n.1 favorite Ozzy song!)
2. No More Tears (most of my favorite songs are in this album and one of my favorite guitarists , Zakk Wylde)
3. Blizzard Of Ozz (legendary album)
And the rest are the rest. Never really digged into Ozzy's catalog. I just like little bit of this and little bit of that.
Cheers!
Absolute agree about The Ultimate sin, but Shot in the dark (great track) isn't original from Ozzy
@@danieldavis1949 Well I learn something everyday. Didn't even know that. Had to look it up.
Excellent list.
thanks boss!
It's probably a toss up between Blizzard and Diary, but my personal favorite might just be Ozzmosis. Perry Mason is such a monster of a song. Zakk was an animal with the riffs and solo. Thunder Underground is also another favorite of mine. So heavy.
Cheers!
Definitely his most underrated album
Great ranking I agree with it 100%
thanks boss, Cheers!
Thanks for sharing your views on each of his albums. Personally; my ranking would have Blizzard of Oz ahead of The Ultimate Sin. Still; I like your ranking order. Cheers!
Thx and cheers!
Great ranking and channel, where would you have Patient Number Nine?
thanks, not sure, didn't listen much to it.

Man what an insanely full riffs right, just completely insane, the title track at the end had this desperate " ooohhh " from Ozzy that I think Celtic frost I think inspired from that sing in into the pandemonium, I mean just a beast of a kilker classic, I could not even imagine what they would become without the accident
Cheers!
Didn't know Tommy didn't play on diary, color me wrong and as always thanks for the video
Cheers!
I agree, save for your top 4...
Diary of a Madman
Blizzard of Ozz
Bark at the Moon
Ultimate Sin
Cheers!
You got it right!
Great ranking and your not to far off from my order. Nice to see "Ultimate Sin" at #2. I think that album gets a bad rap, the production holds it back a bit for me. I thought since your a younger bloke you might be more in the "Down to Earth" or "No More Tears" camp. Well done!
No Fown to earth is way too modern fot me. No more tears is fine but somewhat of a mainstream record. I prefer the early days, like with most bands I guess. :) Plus I dont spin Ozzys that often, I prefer Black Sabbath. ;)
I have lost interest in the more recent releases of Ozzy but my top five are : 1. Diary of .. 2. Blizzard ....3. No rest ...4.No more tears ...5. Ultimate sin . Thanks for another great video
Thanks boss!
great video. I hope a Saxon album ranking is next
they are to me they underrated NWOBHM band that never gets respect. so much heavier now than iron maiden
don't know if they are underrated since they are huge and have traveled the world for 40 years but yeah, I love Saxon. classic band. Cheers!
@@RuthlessMetalYT thanks bro
I agree with your rankings for the most part. I do think it’s criminal how “No More Tears” isn’t higher up this list though ..
It's fine, a bit commercial and not so metal sounding though.
Good critique. I think the albums how you placed them were about spot on. Ozzmosis is right where it should be. No More Tears should of been below No Rest for the Wicked. In my opinion and its more of a sentimental opinion The Ultimate Sin is my favorite Ozzy solo album. Blizzard of Ozz when it got heavy it shined but when it got soft it was blah. I hate No Bone Movies. Goodbye to Romance is a snoozer. Diary of a Madman I would say would be my second. Good ranking. Im surprised Ultimate Sin you had second. The album in my opinion is criminally underrated.
I just read through some of the comments and blown the fuck away with The Ultimate Sin love. Thats awesome to see.
Cheers!
A lot of metal bands WISH they could make the metal version of thriller. I'm not mad at Ozzy because he actually pulled it off. Great video BTW!
Thanks, Cheers!
Excellent list! The later Ozzy albums are easy to avoid. A rapper? Anyhow, Bark at the Moon may be the rock and roll Thriller ... I've never really made the comparison, but I don't necessarily disagree. I love Jake E. Lee's playing and appreciate that album the same way I enjoy Flush the Fashion by Alice Cooper. Your content rocks!!! 🤘
Cheers! 🤘
Our lists are pretty close. Switch 2 and 3 and move Ordinary Man to the last.
The song Diary of a Madman in my opinion gets better and better with time. Such an amazing song.
Cheers!
Love your list!
My personal one would be:
12. Black Rain
11. Scream
10. Ordinary Man
9. Ozzmosis
8. The Ultimate Sin
7. Under Cover
6. No More Tears
5. Bark at the Moon
4. Down to Earth
3. No Rest for the Wicked
2. Diary of a Madman
1. Blizzard of Ozz
Cheers! 🤘
Ozzy was a great singer his albums are awesome all of them ❤️❤️👍
Cheers!
I saw Ozzy with Sabbath a few times and then again as a solo act. This compilation seems to be Spot On. Also, Zakk Wylde is my favorite guitarist
thanks, Cheers!
Spot on buddy
Thanks, Cheers!
Mr Ruthless, my top three albums are the same, but in different order:
1. Blizzard
2. Diary
3. Sin
Cheers! 🤘
No big Ozzy fan i just Care for first 4 albums and i rank them pretty Much in the order they Came out Never spinned them that Much to do a fair ranking. Ozzy With Sabbath is a whole other level obviously that i do like alot but thats another discussion anyways great content bro as Always. 🤘
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan either, but I do like half of his catalogue to some extent. classic stuff. Cheers!
Great Rank 'em All !!!
Ozzy is Awesome even through the iffy years. I dig the new Record & hats off to him for keeping his foot on the Pedal all this time. We gotta cut him some slack ya know he is the Prince of Fucking DARKNESS after All !!! 🔥🤘🔥
Cheers!
What's up, brother🤘🍻
not much, just creating these vids. ;) Cheers!
Great rank. Did you do Sabbath yet?
I sure did! ruclips.net/video/BmnrEwpGQO0/видео.html
As real big Ozzy fan , not bad , not bad at all your list.
Thanks boss! I'm more of a casual Ozzy listener. Cheers!
Thin Lizzy next?
What a great surprise a list of "The Prince of Darkness"! The best album for me? The album and song "Bark at the moon". And now dear Ruthless that Ozzy has his list perhaps Lemmy deserves one!
sooner or later. ;) Cheers!
Albums with Randy and Jake are the best .Basicly I love Diary of Madmen, but No more tears is almost perfect for me...Rank em all Michael Schenker solo or UFO.He is fantastic guitar player.Keep metal to death in Sonic hellłllllllll..
absolutely! Cheers! 🤘
Im a big fan of ozzy. My favourite album-
1. Diary of mad man 2. The ultimate sin 3. Blizzard of ozz 4. Ozzmosis 5. No rest for the wicked 6. Bark at the moon and no more tears 8. Black rain and scream 10. Ordinary man 11. Down to earth.
In my opinion, diary of mad man is Randy's complete edition. Generally fan likes song bark at the moon , but i think except that song ultimate sin album's tracks more good more impressive.
Cheers!
1. Diary of A Madman
2. Blizzard of Ozz
3. The Ultimate Sin
4. Bark at The Moon
5. No More Tears
6. Patient Number 9
7. No Rest for The Wicked
8. Ozzmosis
9. Scream
10. Down to Earth
11. Under Cover
12. Black Rain
13. Ordinary Man
Cheers!
just the thought of Ozzy doing a cover album is hilarious.
Yeah it should be beneath him. :)
OzzY 3rd album release was a double live album with only Sabbath songs (Talk/Speak of The Devil) is technically all covers but thats debatable.
He also did an entire cd of his favorite songs. I believe it's from the Prince Of Darkness set. All songs are pre 80s rock and a Disco song.
Staying Alive w/Dweezil Zappa,
Mississippi Queen, Born to Be Wild, Working Class Hero, In My Life, Fire & Purple Haze are some of the songs I recall. Zack is playing on Purple Haze so it's cringe-worthy & laughable. It's from the same compilation that has him re-doing Changes with his daughter, Kelly. So that gives it a little respect, but not a whole lot lol
Peace
Speak of the Devil (or Talk of the Devil as it was released in the UK) is a covers album too. Sort of. Kind of. In a way. Well... it was seen/marketed as a covers album when released anyway. Plus its better than Undercover. Not by huge margin but defo better! LOL
1. Diary of a Madman
2. Blizzard of Ozz
3. Bark at the Moon
4. The Ultimate Sin
5. No Rest for the Wicked
The End.
Cheers!
Shot In the Dark is my favorite Ozzy song ever.
Cheers!
The first 4 albums are awesome...👍👍
Cheers!
Everyone remarks about the sonic difference between the first album The Blizzard of Ozz and the second album Diary of a Madman. Here why there was such a sonic difference, interview from the man himself ...producer Max Norman:
NORMAN Back then (Blizzard album), the main thing we had in the studio was the AMS 1580 digital delay, which was the first, good long digital delay. I remember it went to 408 milliseconds, which was really something in those days (for note, alot of Randy's delay settings were exactly at that max setting, 408 ms). On Blizzard of Ozz, a lot of the echoes on Randy’s guitar are 408 milliseconds long. On the second album [Diary of a Madman] we had a Lexicon 240 Reverb with new chips in it. We used that for some of that spacey clean guitar stuff on the album, with long, 30-second decays. We doubled those guitar figures into it. That makes it kind of spooky.
1 and 2, aka ...DOAM and Blizzard argument reminds me a little of Metallica's Ride the Lightning vs Master of Puppets. Personally their both great but I'll take RTL over MOP all week long and twice on sunday. Allegedly the band members didn't like the "wet" reverbs on RTL and demanded the dryness on MOP. Oh well, they have been wrong before. ahahahahahaha ....
Ok. Im half way through and all I really want to know is Diary or Blizzard. Bark comes in third. Who's with me. Back to the video.
;) Yeah I might not agree with most people. but you'll see. :)
#1 Diary of a Madman #2 Blizzard of Oz #3 Ultimate Sin #4 Bark At The Moon #5 No More Tears, and then I just don't care about the rest. Hell, No More Tears probably wouldn't have been any good if it wasn't for Lemmy.
Agree with you about Diary being Ozzy's best album and Heaven and Hell being the best Sabbath album. Keep up the good work.
Cheers! 🤘
I Don't Know takes me way back, definitely some sentimental value
yeah great song!
I usually wouldn't include a live album on a rankings list, but RR Tribute is my #1 because I was a late bloomer listening to Ozzy and I heard Tribute first. After hearing that almost none of the originals from Blizzard or Diary sound as good as they did on Tribute ... so my top 5 is: 1) RR Tribute, 2) Ultimate Sin, 3) No Rest for the Wicked, 4) No More Tears, 5) Diary.
Cheers!
RR Tribute aside from being one of the greatest rock band line ups in history had great sound recording quality. I first heard it on cassette tape and cranking it up gave me true concert sound quality.
The first four are in a class of there own. All so good so it depends on what mood I'm in. Then I like No more tears a little more than No rest for the wicked.
I really enjoyed Ordinary man, I think it's the best he has done since No rest and the songs in my oppinion are a good mix between his old sound and a more modern. The rest I rank as they are released and they don't get a lot of playtime.
Cheers!
Exactly the same order than you but bumping No More Tears right at the top. It's my favourite album from Ozzy and it's one of my favourite ''summer'' records. The production just screams being drunk at the lakehouse on my kayak under the canadian summer sun... which lasts about 4 or 5 minutes...
Cheers!
My parents bought me Diary of a Madman for Christmas in 1981, by 3 o'clock in the afternoon I listened to it 4 times. The title track is amazing and perhaps the 1st symphonic metal song? Bought Blizzard of Ozz a few days later, good but not great. A year later I bought Bark at the Moon, good title track but nothing after. Last of all I bought The Ultimate Sin, complete crap, what they did to Ozzy's voice a sort of proto autotune, sounded like a pop singer not a metal. That was the last Ozzy album I bought.
Cheers!
That's badass to hear your story about Xmas 81 and your parents buying you DOAM. Diary is my favorite and BATM is my second favorite because they're the darkest. Maybe the copy of TUS turned out bad with off key sound. I first bought No Rest For The Wicked on cassette tape at Fiesta back in the early 1990's. My best friend and I were both in shock at how fucked up it sounded. But then later on we went to a friend's house and he got the CD which sounded okay and we told him about the tape I got. He said "maybe you got a bad tape" and damn I'm glad that turned out to be the case.
Blizzard of Ozz #1 forever
Cheers! 🍺🍺
RM, yes sir… Diary then Ultimate. Always thought Ozzy was over rated compared to Halford, Dickinson or even King Diamond… But listening to “ Little Dolls” an epiphany!!! Ozzy is a GOD.. and he brought us Randy Rhodes… 🤘
Or Quiet Riot did, people tend to forget that Randy was in that band too. Cheers! 🤘
Zakk just can't hold up to Randy or Jake. Even Brad Gillis on the first live album held up better than Zakk. To bad Brad did not stay around, but than there would be no Night ranger.
Cheers!
Brad said Ozzy was too crazy, ha
@Confederate Lives Matter only in is dreams
Speak Of The Devil is underrated af. Ozzy sounds unhinged and Brad Gillis has insane guitar tone. Controversial, but I dig it more than Sabbath’s Live Evil, even though many of Ozzy’s vocals aren’t really live
My list:
1. Blizzard of Ozz - A huge wave of creativity which defined Ozzy's style from thereafter, and a great introduction of Randy's guitar wizardry.
2. Diary of a Madman - Maybe not all songs are on level of the debut, but a quite weird, sick and heavy album.
3. The Ultimate Sin - Rock/metal anthems one after the other. Nothing new invented, but great melodies all over and even the ballads are geat.
4. Ozzmosis - It's quite versatile and since I listened to it very much when I was a teenager it's still very definitive for me.
5. No More Tears - For me it's a bit over the borderline which separates rock from pop, but the songs and the performance are all top quality.
6. Bark at the Moon - It's also a very versatile album, though not so consistent, with So Tired, the first of the awful boring cheesy Ozzy ballads :-D.
7. Down to Earth - A bit less exciting than the previous albums and lacks such a character, but still has some good songs.
8. No Rest for the Wicked - It's not bad, but the songwriting imho just doesn't touch the other '80-'90s albums of the Prince of Darkness.
...and I'm not familiar enough with the more recent albums. :)
Cheers!
1-ultimate sin
2-diary of a madman
3-blizzard of oz
4-no more tears
5-bark at the moon
6-no rest for the wicked
7-scream
8-osmosis
Cheers!
I think that Ozzy wasnt even actually alive after No More Tears. Sharon just poked his corpse with an electric cattle prod to get his ass on the road to pay her prodigious ever mounting wardrobe and decorating bills. Kinda like the movie Weekend at Bernie's where they just wheel him around with sunglasses on.
Cheers!
Well done Jim Ruthless, Diary at No.1, excellent, i would drop Sin down and bring No Rest up.
Thanks, Cheers!
Regarding Ordinary Man, you said, "From a metal perspective, this album is highly average." Don't you mean, "highly ordinary"? 😉 😆
Ballads can be awesome if done right. "Goodbye To Romance" was NOT done right.
The title track on Diary of a Madman could be classified as a ballad, but it's leagues better. I wish I had thought of it when you were asking for spooky metal songs for Halloween, cause "Diary of a Madman" is chilling.
would have been better. ;) Cheers!
1. Blizzard of Ozz
2. No More Tears
3. Ozzmosis
4. Diary of a Madman
5. Bark at the Moon
6. No Rest for the Wicked
7. The Ultimate Sin
8. Down to Earth
9. Ordinary Man
10. Black Rain
11. Scream

My list:
11. Ordinary Man
10. Black Rain
9. Ozzmosis
8. Scream
7. Down to Earth
6. No Rest for the Wicked
5. No More Tears
4. Bark at the Moon
3. Diary of a Madman
2. Blizzard of Ozz
1. The Ultimate Sin
I love the guitars in Rhoads era, but Jake Lee deserves my respect and, IMO, "Ultimate Sin" is the best and more solid album by Ozzy.
Hail!!! 🤘🤘🍻

I remember very well when Ozzmosis came out, because I stopped to listen Ozzy 😂🤟
My top 5 are:
1. Diary of a Madman
2. Blizzard of Ozz
3. Bark at the Moon
4. The Ultimate Sin
5. No more Tears
Yeah they lost it. Cheers!
This is literally almost the same ranking as mine. All I would do is move Ordinary man to the bottom
yeah, the three bottom albums are more or less interchangeable since I dont really care for 'em. Cheers!
@@RuthlessMetalYT I really love the respect for Jake E. Lee
These are the same exact pics I would've made. Ultimate sin and Diary of a Mad Man were my favorites. All the Zack Wylde albums sucked in my book. I lost interest in Ozzy after Jake E Lee.
Cheers!
@Konservative Kirby VIII Bullshit, he is overrated, all albums he played on sucked
@@RuthlessMetalYT I really think Ultimate sin is an underrated album, doesn't get the credit it deserves, some killer tracks on it
Diary of a Madman- Blizzard of Ozz- Bark at the Moon - No Rest for the Wicked - No More Tears - Ozzmosis - The Ultimate Sin.
Cheers!
"No rest for the wicked" is an excellent album and "the ultimate sin" and "bark at the moon" blew large chunks!
Cheers!
Excellent list, I think the only places where I differ is that I think The Ultimate Sin is Ozzy’s masterpiece (Diary Of A Madman is a very close second) and that Down To Earth was absolutely the worst thing Ozzy ever did (it’s nu-metal that’s about as grating as Machine Head’s The Burning Red).
I think the real reason that The Ultimate Sin is not well liked is because Ozzy hates the album because of how bitter the split between him and Jake E. Lee was (it was definitely Ozzy and Sharon’s fault). Ozzy fans can be a bit sycophantic and modify their tastes based on his, for better or worse.
Looking forward to the next list. 🤘🏻
Cheers!
I also think it sounds too 80s for the ozzfest late 90s nu metal morons, I happen to think it’s great
From a time ago, gotta go in order, so to speak. From first,,,
I'd basically given up on Ozzy when i get home after work and a new Rolling Stone issue gives Blizzard a great review.
Hopped right in my car to drive the 15 or so mile round trip to the nearest record store. It was worth it.
I didn't buy Diary right away but finally did .
Saw Ozz for Ultimate Sin with Jake. Great show,,,took my teen age nephew to see one of his heroes in Ozzy. He later became a semi pro guitar player,,,,all my fault :)
Tribute.....Should actually be #3 or , wait....;)
This is it. I never bothered with Zakk stuff too much, at least i don't think i have anything. Pretty telling,,,
edit,,,,gotta mention 'Speak Of The Devil", Brad Gillis.
NYE '82/'83 and i'm with family and rock station KSJO is blasting.
They play Paranoid from this and i'm blown away.
I was playing guitar in a two guitar band, covers for parties and stuff.
I heard this and took a look. The way every thing drops back and Brad comes out swinging was great.
I quit about 3 months later. Job and family were more important.
Reunion years ago which was fun but quit again (on the job injury).
They still gig, one guitar with keys and stuff.
Cheers!
I started this video thinking I don't know shit about Ozzy, seems I do since I knew every song you mentioned. That cheeky bastard must have hit me on a subconscious lvl
yeah, everyone knows his stuff. ;) Cheers! 🤘
Ozzmosis rules. It's in my top three along with No Rest For The Wicked and The Ultimate Sin.
I don't know about that. ;) Cheers!
