A superb job Trish. This is exactly what a traveler with no French needs to know. Most importantly, you told the group the secret to great relations with the French - Bonjour Madame/Monsieur! No matter how limited your French, to make the effort to greet people as they like to be greeted opens up all doors to you. You will be treated with warmth and respect. One further thought... if the above is too much for some to learn, just learn the following phrases (in any language of a country you are visiting): Hello/Goodby, Please/Thank you, Yes/No, Where is... How much... Thanks again Trish. Well done.

@@cindys2995 It was wonderful! We lucked out on beautiful weather. Food is incredible. A lot of spots open late (2a). This was back in March, so masks were usually for public transit and indoor areas. And with negative tests mandate lifted for US, I’m sure the trip will be less stressful.

she says GESIERS not the proper way!! I am native and you have to say JAY ZEE YEAH... so the S has to be pronunced as a Z as the S is between 2 vowels - French is very tricky... This speaker is spectacular and her lesson is fantastic.. but learning from a native that speaks English is very very helpful! I am from France and married, living in Long Beach in USA. I have been helping a lot of couples and professionals.

46:34 Bonjour, vous avez fait une erreur pour 30. Cela s'écrit : trente et non "treinte". Et on ne dit pas soixante-onze mais soixante et onze. 80 s'écrit quatre-vingt et non "quatre vignts" (idem pour vingt-deux")

This is a wonderful presentation in many ways.
But - I'm fluent in French; there were a number of errors, both in spelling and pronunciation, mostly spelling. These things need to be checked thoroughly before making it public!

She's a very lovely woman, but I don't believe for a second she knows French more than the most basic level from her past studies somewhere. She wrote this presentation, but why so many errors in the spelling of numbers?! I think she was hired to do this but without true qualifications. I don't know how else to account for the errors. And her pronunciation of some vowel sounds doesn't seem right to me. She does one too many diphthongs where there shouldn't be any. Still, she is fabulous as a classroom teacher. I'd love to see her do a Spanish class. She admits she was primarily a Spanish teacher.
