- You may have heard I've just moved into my own (humble) space for dyeing! Well, You'll get to see it here (did I mention it's humble?) as well as John and me dyeing pounds of wool for my shop, trying a new sock yarn and trying to figure out how to heat set acid dyes in my new space. I included finished photos of each dye job in the video, so I hope you feel inspired!

You guys come up with some amazing combinations in color. Your dungeon looks really roomy. The more time you spend there the more you'll get the feel of where things need to be. Some of the most amazing things have come from "humble" beginnings. Have an amazing time at Rhinebeck!

John's expression for the thumbnail is like..."we are about to blow your mind" lol....then it starts and he's just fixin' his hair LOL. Oh wow, that first one turned out way different than I expected it to. The blues reminds me I want to do some more platinum. Looks like there might be a few oldie but goodies? and what looks like some non-reproduce-able ones maybe? Fun new space. I have my desk from around 4th grade lol. I'm sure it will be nice to not have to mess up the kitchen anymore :) I like the same one as you. Loving all the braids.

Love the new dye center! So much room to work. A question for your Q&A sessions in the future. I have a question about using a base color. Noticed on a few of the dyes it was started with a grey or lavender. What is the specific purpose of adding these colors under the main color? Does it mute the colors, or is it to cover the white that sometimes doesn't take the color up like the rest of the wool? Have a great time at Rhinebeck, glad John got to attend with you this year and I hope he enjoys every minute of it. ❤

Hopefully someday. I'm worried about moving one down the steps and they are really expensive. I hope I can swing it in a few months. I think it would be a much better way ❤️

Watching the dying was like a visual asmr.
That's a nice surprise, one moment I see you in a car on your way to Rhinebeck, and the next moment you are back dyeing! That's not the dungeon though, is it?
This video was scheduled last Wednesday, but the driving one was impromptu. 🥰
How do rinse them out and keep the roving together?
I noticed that you dont clean your spoon between colors. How do you not worry about getting another pigment in the dye and changing the possible over all color?
I don't worry about anything. In my experience, tiny amounts don't do enough to worry me.
