I may have said this once already, but Jingles, you are probably one of my favorite creators on this site. Every video is like listening to a story about your grandpa's glory days, except instead of glory days it's videogames. Every piece of content you make is enjoyable and interesting to watch, and let's be honest, half of that is because of your laugh.
Never underestimate the sheer utter stupidity of both your own teammates and the enemy. The only time you need to wear your brown pants is when the last enemy on the team is on near full health, and has killed almost half the team...
When Jingles starts laughing his ass off, so do I - not because of any gameplay. Then I jump back to the very scene and laugh my ass off again. I still can't hold my cup of coffee 5 mins after listening to Jingles laughter. Sir, you always make my day, thank you for that.
One thing I'd like to help you recognize: I have my best Capt. (John Doe) spec for my Massachusetts B. Most of the specs do not hurt on the Iowa and not going to train a capt just for a gold ship.... :)
14:25 hundreds of sailors are thrown into freezing water, or killed by fire and explosions.... Jingles: Ahahahahahhahahahahahah.... ahahhahaahhahahahahahahahah
To be fair to the Friesland, once the Missouri died, it was out of his hands. He was one good Mogador salvo from death and with his floaty arcs, he would struggle to hit a Mogador with engine boost active beyond 4-5km effectively enough, especially with the French damage saturation in play.
I don't think those ships were running secondary builds Jingles. They were using the secondary battery mod in the 3rd slot. Given that they were American BBs, the only other options in that slot are increasing your range or the useless AA mod. They likely didn't have any captain skills invested in secondaries.
That ladies and gentlemen was the normal mating behavior of Iowas. They circle each other and try to impress their potential mate with their guns. This is how small Iowas are made. Why can't this damend frog infested boat leave them alone?
I'm guessing the Iowa and Missouri players were using their Massa or Georgia captains....at least as a way to explain the secondaries....Missouri sailing in a straight line next to a spotted DD was just silly.
The Friesland did one thing right: Take the third cap, but then they should have run. They have the spotting advantage, they will (soon) have a point advantage. But no, the had to lose harder.
French DD guns also get improved AP which can allow them to fairly comfortably citadel broadside cruisers at short range, and the 5-a-side torpedo tubes seems like a hindrance until you notice they can be fired practically forwards, basically at 11 and 1 o'clock off the nose, which is really complemented by the aggressive nature of the Mogador. Her concealment isn't really a draw back as she's quite comfortable operating whilst detected in open water, anything able to catch you can be outgunned and anything that can't.. well, active dodging! You can very comfortably sail around at your max gun range hosing enemy BB's, waving your arms around going "Hey! Hey! HEY! SHOOT AT ME!". I have recorded nearly 4million potential damage in a ranked game.
Giving the benefit of the doubt, the Iowa might be doing the sameish build ive been doing since the rework, secondary range into main battery reload. Encourages moving up rather than border sniping.
An Iowa with a secondary build is just fine.... The secondaries are more accurate than their German counterparts, shoot just as fast, something like 0.2km short of the German’s range, and when Deadeye and the brawler skill are combined, the Iowa gets a dispersion buff when the enemy is outside detection range, and a main batter reload buff when the enemy is within secondary change, presenting a tiny buffer less than 2km wide where an enemy can be located without the Iowa having either perk.
