The way I interpreted May hiding the g*n is that it still shows there’s mistrust between both human and ape and that she had it just in case Noa became violent for how she almost killed his clan while talking to her. Then when Noa gave her Roca’s pendant it’s shows a potential start of a bridge to what Roca was saying about how humans and apes can live together on earth.
Everyone is saying that “ oh it’s not as good as the trilogy “ but it’s the first film in this new trilogy and it’s rlly good. This is a good sign just like rise of the planet of the apes. I loved the movie
Luv yalls theory off a future plot line could revolve around Noah is a direct descendants of Ceasar. I have a perfect reason why thos could be true based on the movies own dialogue... few things - 1. The eagle clan moved and built their original home. 2. Noah's father said he had a lot to learn. 3. With those 2 points we could see Noah find something at his home that will prove what his father meant to show him.
I LOVED the movie. I think it’s a solid addition to this franchise. Considering this is the start of another trilogy perhaps. I pretty much agree with the panel, but along with many other reviewers, people aren’t liking the human elements in KOTPOTA, and while I’m not saying a new movie or trilogy focusing on JUST apes wouldn’t work, but the whole point of the apes lore going back to the original movies, one of the biggest conflicts of the story is the battle for earth between apes and humans and the whole cautionary tale trope for the humans. I could be biased because I’m such a fan of the original movies, but I love the whole universe, even the Tim Burton remake. I just think that back and forth between species is a central focus you “kind of” need in these stories, especially if done well.
I really enjoyed the pacing of this movie because… it felt like a slight update to the pacing of older films, if that makes sense. It’s the first Planet of the Apes movie I’ve seen, going in I didn’t know what to expect, so this is one of the few times I got to genuinely go in blindly to something and discover a world as the protagonist discovers it. It was neat to see someone with a limited view of the world, and then learn about its history and lore and dynamics. It felt like I was watching a fresh movie from the 60’s-70’s, which I think is nice considering the originals films were made like that. There was something classic and peaceful to it, and it didn’t bother me. I thought it was really nice, and it gave me time to absorb the world and warm up to it, as I went in a bit skeptical.
Didn't know the writer of this is doing Fantastic Four, that makes me even more excited for it now! This movie and Avatar 2 did a great job with the family dynamics of their stories which is the most important thing you have to nail with the Fantastic Four
This movie is very much the rise of the planet of the apes of this new trilogy, the acting is amazing, the visuals are amazing, but a lot of exposition, I think the next movie could be amazing, this story was just okay, not bad, not amazing, but good enough to start this new trilogy
I had a theory that Mae was one of the astronauts from Charlie Heastons ship from the OG planet of the apes & we could explore the different perspectives of humans living in a world of apes, but I set myself up for failure & feel like that woulda been a better story than the one we got
Clemons & Navarro together on a panel? Those are two of my favorite YT personalities, I'm locked in.
“TOGETHER STRONG” just finished watching jessica’s breakdown, such a great addition to the franchise. love the videos as always😎

If Caesar was the Moses figure of the last trilogy, I wonder if Noa will grow into a David-type figure over the next 2 films?

Same the ending made me so proud to be a human lol

Loved this one so much. Felt fresh, but easily on par with the past 3.
15:45 Sooo Mr. Big brain, you think Noah was a hero, he wanted vengeance. Heroes don't act on vengeance
