I only have 350mbps down but I’m just looking for a better router that can handle more traffic and has longer range than the stupid Comcast x1 modem/router
we have 2 asus rog ax1100 routers 1 down sters and one up sters and its amazing we have google fiber too and its great got speed of 820 down and 633 up all over the house about the same
cmon , i have 480Mbps down and up on mi archer c1200 so what is the difference? (mi connection is 1000mbps down and 500up) and for test i use galaxi s10e ....
Thank you and well done for producing this nice short yet a comprehensive tutorial. ❤️ I'm surprised though why the AX3000 hasn't quite captured the fancy of the users and barely scores a pass rating on most websites as of Feb, 16 2020
Ended up returning mine - it runs incredibly hot, and it seemed to be dropping packets if you use it to stream wireless VR - in other words utilising both wired and wireless networks pretty heavily.
I purchased this on the advice of a TP-Link tech after I had told him my requirements.....I also purchased a dual fan platform that the unit fits exactly on as I had read some of the reports of overheating. This 1 unit replaced a top of the line Linksey and a Netgear unit needed to run the various wifi devices I had running. Some inside and some outside. This ONE TP-Link router runs EVERYTHING flawlessly.
Hello BizarreGaming....It is a Wathai High Air Flow Router Cooling Fan. I bought it on Amazon for $19.99.....it has three fan speeds and has run continuously since I bought it.
Bought this thing today to replace the standard gateway from Xfinity and it's really nice had a bit of an issue in set up but now it's working like a charm I've never had videos load so fast
I'm thinking of doing the same thing to slice that $90 bill down. What modem do you use?! Also does it work good with unlimited as well as multiple device's?! We stream and game in the house and have several different portable and gaming devices. I just wanna make sure this router can handle that which I'm pretty sure it can.
@@rhomayyann4691 I have two playstations phones 3 computers going at one time and it works fine to distribute the internet since it has QoS it will make sure no matter what your devices wont drop out and its already enable on the router. Thanks for this video. Would you make a video also about how fast it can share large size files between two computers? Like a desktop and server or laptop?

Is this the router that you need to also subscribe to the app with a monthly fee to get more functions or help with stopping the transferring throttling?? I have seen some reviews on amazon of very angry customers that feel that they have been blindsided with no indication of extra fees or subscriptions needed to access full functionality prior to purchase.
is this good for 300-400mbps down? Usually, 2 people gaming on separate floors and others streaming youtube or Netflix or whatever, plus a couple of other little devices connected like phones. If not, any suggestions? Right now I have a tri-band nighthawk I got from Costco.
I purchased this router for an affordable 129.99. Not bad to integrate into the AX category. My Asus RT AC5300 router is nice and has great coverage but having to report all my web data to a big brother Trend Micro really made me swap out. I turned off the tattle tale feature and amazingly my AC router began to run like crap. Coincidence? Hahaha you tell me. The AX 3000 runs just fine for our small house with only 4 of us. Plenty of head room for all our device needs. Thanks for the recommendation.
EzPzLemonSqueeze ! It actually wasn’t enough for the amount of users and traffic coming into the home. After a short while I noticed massive bandwidth issues especially when using WiFi to steam content to HD TVs. I swallowed the pill and decided to stick with Asus and use the GT AX11000 and use the AC5300 as a node (wired). Tri-band wireless network and wired network access across the house. No issues.

Do you know if you can update the firmware off of the Walmart version if purchased through them? Unfortunately, I didn't know there was a difference other than the price. Apparently their version has stripped down parental controls, and when I rename my connected client devices, those names don't "stick".
Bought one of these today, didn't realize they are 4 years old. Date on the unit software was dated 2022 so got a firmware update right away. Couldn't use it the way I was hoping so it's just a wifi access point now and back to using the isp supplied modem since it has more configuration options but is only 2.4ghz so I disabled the wifi on it and using the AX3000. Kind of disappointed in the watered down interface on the tplink. At least it wasn't very expensive.
Would it require a booster for house with a small basement? keeping the equipment on the ground floor. trying to avoid paying $15 a month to verizon for their equipment.
I need to know these things 1. antenna power gain in dbi? i.e. 5dbi or 6dbi 2. total Sq.ft coverage i.e. 2000 or 300 sq.ft 3. My new AX3000 needed me to call tech assist so you might not want to try to get it installed outside their available hours. The install guide QR code did nothing and the router site could not get my router online because it needs to be registered first, so once TP-link tech was available he assisted me in getting the router registered and from there it was a breeze!
