    Hi Julie. I'm learning always something new in each lesson (capital letters in subject line) it is not polite...
    I never imagined that meaning.
    Thank you for all your wonderful job.
    just waiting for the next lesson.

    • @englishetcwithjulie
      @englishetcwithjulie  3 года назад +3

      Hey, it's great that you're learning new things from the lessons! And yes, capital letters are really aggressive in English. Many people aren't aware and use them to show that something is important....unfortunately the reader usually doesn't see it that way so be careful ;).

    Thank you Juile for the great lesson you have made. It was so useful. I expect little more examples from you with formal email writing. Such as greetings with Dear Mr. + Surname. But it's fine. I always face a trouble when I try to draft an email. I hope this lesson can help me to write a email in proper manner.

      My pleasure, I'm glad that you enjoyed the lesson.
      When it comes to formal email greetings, "Dear Mr. / Ms." is the most commonly used greetings, there are no many others. In terms of formal examples, I'll be making lessons about tone and formality in the future so I'm sure they will help! :)

      Hi, each cover letter needs to be written specifically for the position and for each applicant, rather than simply a copied and pasted letter.

    Hi Julie, Thanks a lot for this useful lesson, it's simple and easy to keep in mind and really practical. Just one question teacher, what to write if the recipient is someone who isn't among your colleague or your working world, and someone who doesn't expect to receive your e-mail, and in what part of my mail should I put this phrase ? Thanks, bye

    • @englishetcwithjulie
      @englishetcwithjulie  3 года назад +3

      Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson! Good questions - if you're writing to someone who isn't expecting an email from you, the best option is to find out their name and use it in the greeting. If you can't find out their name, you can simply write "Hello".

    do i have to write subject all the time, when we are writing mail back and forth.

    • @englishetcwithjulie
      @englishetcwithjulie  Год назад

      Hey, great question - the subject should reflect what the email is about. So, if you’re writing back and forth and your have an email thread that is about one topic, there’s no need to change the subject line. If the topic of your email has changed, I’d recommend writing a new email and writing a relevant subject line. 😉

    Just within minutes, I was able to learn what I had never taught at college talking alone in high school... Julie your explanation was nothing more but a very easy and comprehensible one.
    However, I recommend you improve the graphics of your videos a little more or better. The example part of your lesson was very understandable, but the writing was not clear enough to be seen.
    Thank you,
    Looking forward to your response.
