Yay! My husband and I try to do 1 big money project every year. This way we really think about what we are going to spend our money on. Plus it forces us to live in our space and not buy random furniture to fill the space with crappy made items.

What a fantastic sentiment 😊 I’m also in a transition period in my life (adjusting to the realities of chronic illness and disability) and it really does help to see myself as a work in progress and to redefine what a happy life means to me, rather than seeing myself as a failure based on criteria that I don’t even think truly define happiness for me anymore anyway 🤷🏻♀️

You could totally do a non wired sconce or wall light fixture over the sink or in the ceiling hanging between the cabinets and put in a battery operated bulb from amazon. We did it for our living room next to our fireplace and they look fantastic and we were able to avoid ripping up a bunch of drywall. Takes 10 minutes and looks great. If you want to put in a permanent later you still could

you could also put a piece of art in the space over the sink! even if it's just temporary until you do eventually get the hardwiring done
i thought about it! but since we have that huge landscape next to it, i'm not sure what kind of art i'd put above the sink (i'm kinda picky lol)

why not try hello fresh for ur meal planning, that way you take away the hussle of shopping for food and u can cook more diverse things
we’ve done it in the past. my husband is just a more advanced cook and gets bored with their repeated seasoning combos. and if i’m cooking for myself i want it to take less than 30 minutes
