Love honda and nissan( have no experience with hyndai). But i have to give it to honda for staying true to NA motors. They have numerous motors putting out 100+ hp per liter, pretty impressive imo. Not a big forced induction fan myself. The s2000 was( not sure if it still is) the highest powered production NA 4 cylinder.
Got my Nismo Juke FWD fully loaded for 25k w/ tax n tags! It really grows on you and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it!! Also, Its pretty fun when your banging gears in sport mode.
I really wanted to like the Juke. I owned a 2011 AWD with a CVT. It just drove like an economy car while getting the fuel economy of a hot hatch. That was driving it conservatively. I traded it for a WRX as soon as I could.

good review. since im in america, pricing might be a little different but i think you can get the veloster turbo for alot cheaper than the other 2. that being said, it does have many shortcomings like you mentioned, Hyundai has a clean sheet when it comes to sporty cars, its a very fun car. i won't bash the other 2 cars because i like them too, but i have the veloster turbo and its a pretty good car. thanks for the review.
I'm actually in the market right now for a new car, and really like the aggressive look of the Veloster Turbo. I took the Juke out for a test drive and it's a pretty nice car as well, but for the overall oomph, I am leaning towards the Veloster. Big fan of that "Vitamin C" color as well.
Manny Macfly I have one, too! Only complaint I have is there is a weird hiss (not the turbo sound) when I'm slowing down. Hyundai refuses to acknowledge it, but my girlfriend and I (we carpool) hear it every morning...even over the great sound system. Other than that, it's great. I have one that looks just like the one int he video. The metallic red is beautiful.

I don't get all the hate about the Juke's look; it is much different when you look at it personally rather than browsing videos and pictures, and you can easily squeeze 20-25 horsepower out of turbocharged engines by just tuning the ECU. Have you had a chance to drive the Civic Si with the HPD package? if so, did you feel the upgrades it has?
Have a Nissan rogue, and knows the handling already. Will consider nismo rs if possible, really like the shape. I used to own a versa hatchback, that small car drives good too, so I am confident about the Juke. Some ppl complain about cvt, I don't like it neither, but don't have any choice. They won't put 7 speed auto tranny on a 20k car. Hope the better version of Juke--- infiniti Juke could save this, and I am in!

He said the veloster turbo improved on handling compared to the base veloster... hyundai didn't touch the suspension in the turbo all they did was quicken the steering rack a little lolol.. fail..
Stay astute and outline accordingly within the comparison... Ur personal thoughts should be thought out or maybe exempt considering how ur being paid... Not sure what ur outlines are but just thought id give my thoughts as such...
That's interesting. Personally, I love sedans, but I can understand why people who like hatches et al in North America might be upset; there's very little competition. What makes you think that Canadians are moving away from the sedan though? If anything, I'd say they might be moving towards crossovers and compact SUVs. There are very few hatchbacks and wagons where I live.
I agree that Canadians are moving away from sedans, but they still reign supreme in the U.S. Which sucks for us, as it means that vehicles that would have a market here (like the Civic hatch you can get in Europe) never see the light of day.
Great review. Damn, that Veloster is so ugly. It's hideous. An abomination. I'd take the Si first, followed by the Juke Nismo, and if Hyundai paid me some money, I'd consider taking that cockroach of a car just long enough to drive it to the Honda dealer, and trad it in for a Civic Si :)
I work at a Hyundai dealership and a veloster isn't worth it, don't get me wrong they're fun to drive around especially the turbos but its not worth 30k you're better off getting a Genesis Coupe
+PaRe Slinky Well the veloster has 3 doors idk why they did that but because of that it's easier to access the backseats and plus the veloster trunk is basically connected with the backseat, when you open the trunk door you can easily access the backseat so if you wanted to make space then yeah you could easily lay down the backseat so its all one big trunk space but the Genesis coupe you can't it feels smaller because you still have to push the seat forward to get in the backseat, the trunk space isn't that big either.

umm soo many mistakes while reviewing the veloster turbo. the suspension nor the brakes were changed from the normal veloster. they just added a turbo. please do some research before you post a a so called "review" video
Yes the brakes are bigger, the rotors and the calipers. And the suspension was changed as well. My dad got the N/A one and I was looking into the turbo one. Big difference.
I can't find the exact source, but when you take a vehicle that is sold as both sedan and hatch (eg, the Mazda 3, Impreza, etc), the percentage of sales attributed to the hatch tends to be much higher in Canada than the U.S., and the gap is getting bigger. I do agree with your compact SUV comment though, as I recently ordered a Crosstrek for myself--lol.

honda si will always be the slowest car u can buy out of any "factory modified" vehicles. Also the juke is the fastest and is way more reliable then any of the cars u can think of that compare
For people who really know about cars (history, engineering, sentiment etc), they will go with Nissan any day. Why?..Because Nissan is the oldest car producer in the world that has a phenomenal track record for making the finest engineered vehicles that run forever. There are tons of 1970's and 80's Datsuns still running like champs with an average of over 600,000 miles and much more across Asia, South America, Caribbean and Middle East. The folks in Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, etc will all know what I'm talking about.
Agreed in the 70s and 80s, they made great cars but then financial issues hit and the world went global so now they share parts with a french company (not known for reliabilty), their boss is more business person than car guy, and they're made in all parts of the world. Only the really expensive cars still have some Nissan passion left in them.

Personally, I have the 2014 Civic Si. I won't lie. The only reason I picked the Si is for the cabin and interior style.

Agreed in the 70s and 80s, they made great cars but then financial issues hit and the world went global so now they share parts with a french company (not known for reliabilty), their boss is more business person than car guy, and they're made in all parts of the world. Only the really expensive cars still have some Nissan passion left in them.
