Thank you for making this video! After tinkering a little I found another solution. Simply switch the Red and Black wires from the visible laser and light and it reverses the functions of the A switch. The laser becomes momentary and the the white light comes only if you hold the A switch for 4-5 seconds. Have fun guys!
Thx for the video, this helps a lot! One thing I noticed is that each light/laser module connects to a separated pair of wire(except for white light?). I found my right set up where switchA is white light only and switch B is laser and long press for IR laser by reconnect green and yellow wire from laser module into yellow and gray wire from ir light module. Hope this comment help others that still looking for more explanation after all this while.
I'm sorry I would like to know if excluding the gray and yellow cable marked with X and putting the cable 3 in 2 and 4 in 1 solves the problem of switching on the laser after 4 seconds? my fundamental question is: with this modification, is it possible to have a button dedicated to the laser and a button dedicated to the light? and turning the ring to IR, it works the same way, that is a button for IR illumination is a button for IR laser ??? thank you very much and completions for the video !!!
I changed it up a bit, I don't have the need for IR (No NVG's). I disconnected both the IR laser and illuminator and placed the visible laser into the first set of connectors next to the power wires.
heres a few questions: does the end cap actively swap between visible and ir, or do you physically map those features to buttons? if you map the laser to one button and the illuminator to another, will you retain visible and ir features for both by turning the end cap? is it possible to make one button for ir laser and the other for illuminator and make each one momentary push and hold for continuous?
Did you look at the IR light though night vision, or were you looking at it with your naked eyes. Because you’re not really suppose to see the IR light with your naked eyes. That’s the whole point of IR lights and IR lasers, to only see them through nods aka; night vision.
Great video. Thinking of picking one up and have two questions (1) can you zero (adjust the aiming point) the lasers? and (2) do you think it will hold up on a real firearm? Thanks!
It’s actually very self explanatory. There are two dials to either side you can adjust with a flathead. It moves the whole unit so your IR and vis should share the same zero
do you tape off the ends of the wires you dont put back in or just let just sit in the unit freely? seems like it might cause a short or something if it hits the pcb inside
@@snackoairsoft5601 will this eliminate the function that changed states when you push and hold longer than 4 seconds? I don’t want that function any longer.
I got it for ir laser were I bought a newer fma peq15 with ir and the peq more simple and both adjustable lasers the peq is way more simple the mawl c is nice but I had results with my peq15 with nods in 2 night games already and peq 100$ the mawl I bought is aluminum and shy of 400$
Cut your thumb nails man. Absolutely disgusting. Secondly why would you spend $150 on a toy? I just bought my 3rd real MAWL yesterday from Weapons Outfitters for another real long gun. 🍺

It doesn’t work for me, do you mind explain a bit more?

This is perfect. Once mine comes in I WILL be doing this.

so its just a $160 laser pointer right?

Dou you think it's possible to reflow the led emitters with better ones?

Is there anyway to get rid off the vis flashlight to get that 4 second delay before the laser comes in?
Should look into replacing the IR LED with a higher quality one with more output.
Any tips on readjusting the vis-laser placement? it appears that mine came and the diode is off center.

Night vision. I have a personal pvs-14 I did these tests with
Any videos on fixing the adjusters for the laser

Yes and I haven’t tried but I’m going to say definitely not. That’s where you’re paying the real steel price of one of these and I doubt it will hold
@@snackoairsoft5601 Thanks! If you get time, could you make a video on how to adjust the aiming point? Great videos so far!

Good job on the DIY re-wire! Where’d you get this laser?
Is there a possebillety to run ir only
A ir laser
B ir ilum
?
Sure is! It’s all the same voltage. Just remove the pins for the vis and put the IR ones in the vis button spot
do you tape off the ends of the wires you dont put back in or just let just sit in the unit freely? seems like it might cause a short or something if it hits the pcb inside
Of course it’s a good idea to block them off. Some tiny heat shrink will work great
Will this work on a full metal sotac mawl ???? Ir mode is nice with my nods
You have the one with IR laser/IR illuminator? How is it? I was gonna pick one up
When u say the ir barely gives off light, did u mean with nvgs on or just naked eye?
Nvgs. It will brighten up a room a little bit but in any other situation it’s simply not practical. Any outdoor application it’s useless
Thank you so much!
wonder if the board could handle the ir iluminator and ir laser on the momentary function.
Yep. It all runs the same amount of power through it
@@snackoairsoft5601 would be more practical overall. If you're using a laser you're already giving away your position
Can it be set up to illuminate the IR laser and illuminator on one button and the rear button be visible laser?
Yep. They all run off of the same voltage. Should be able to just pop over

If you use the right slots in the wiring harness yes
Is this one metal ? They claim to have a upgraded metal version that fixes known issues
Nah. Plastic mostly
Does not work with Evolution Gear MAWL.
My Mawl all of a sudden just stopped working. Nothing seems to work. I changed batteries, dissembled and reassembled and still nothing.
Any pointers?
I just don’t understand why they are so expensive! For what they are it’s ridiculous

youre quite a miserable human being now arent ya
I spent 400$ on my alimunum mawl toy ;) and a mawl on a lomg gun is chringe nobody cares
You are so gay lol
Wow, you're so sigma.
