It might've been mentioned somewhere, or just theorized a bunch, but I always thought Dire Miralis and the Fatalis were the same being. "The same" being literally the same. Fatalis is the only Dragon that we know can regenerate beyond the grave, as shown with the ever regenerating Giant Greatsword made from Fatalis parts. In order to prevent the rest of the body from regenerating, a Fatalis, presumably the one where the Giant Greatsword originated from, was thrown into an ocean/volcano so that it can stay dead. Instead, the Fatalis corpse adjusted accordingly and regenerated around the magma surrounding it, pretty much making it into an entirely new Monster (and we know MH evolution can go a tremendous rate, since Deviants were originally born the same as their original Species). It then needed to regulate its body temperature because the ever increasing magma would overpower its regenerative capabilities. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some truth to this story, as Elder Dragon intel doesn't go far due to the danger (most of what we do know are either myths, like Dalamadur, or revealed through intense research, like the Shagaru Magala). Althoughnit could've just been an excuse to use the Fatalis skeleton without actually adding the Fatalis (which the 3rd Gen was all about. Barioth, in Tri, was basically just Nargacuga+Ice. Alatreon used Kushala/Teostra and even borrowed their elements for its respective phase. Amatsumagatsuchi was put in P3rd to use the Leviathon skeleton+movements without adding in water combat). Unrelated, the whole 3rd generation seemed like it wanted to replace the old monsters with more creative designs due to hardware limitations slowly becoming a non-issue. Although the 4th Gen was filled with returning Monsters, the 5th Gen looks like it's doing the same as the 3rd Gen but with much less limitations due to not being on a Wii or Handheld system. I hope this home console exclusive thing doesn't stick, as in not ditching portable titles since portability was always the best thing about MH. Though with the Switch being portable, I hope they make a MH with the Switch in mind (MHGU is a port of the 3DS MHXX, so all it really has is HD textures, more details on foliage/etc, and other non-gameplay intrusive improvements. Being a port that would've been playable together in the 3DS, they couldn't allow the Switch version to be different gameplay wise. Imagine MH3U HD except the 3DS version never being localized). :)
The thicc boi Fatalis in MH Freedom unite its VERY strong, because it doesnt matter if you have a very good armor, if one of his fireballs hits you or if his tail touches you while he is moving, its a INSTAKILL. After 30 attemps to kill him i finally won, but jesus christ he is OP.

fun fact : teostra always does his supernova 90 seconds after going into rage mode, unless he's doing something else in which case he'll do it straight after
Dire Miralis is a close relative of the Fatalis, being the reincarnation of one or so according to the lore of Monster Hunter. Why didn't you include him to the Fatalis family?
No respec for Lao Shan. The first Elder Dragon you fight in Monhun history right? I know you fight Kirin before him I think but come on, Kirin ain't no dragon.
Regardless it's a Flying Wyvern and classified as such. So is Akantor. Calling it a Brute Wyvern wouldn't make sense either because it's not a theropod dinosaur.
It's classified as such because it's related to Tigrex (even uses the same skeleton model) although very distantly and it has vestigial wing membranes that are barely there. It also doesn't have any mammal-like reptile traits so it is not a synapsid and so it can't be a Fanged Wyvern either. I don't know why they didn't make it a Elder Dragon but they didn't.
I know it doesnt but there is a long story as to why I do what I do. It's mostly out of respect for someone that means alot to me. It also sounds a bit "hurr durr" and I find it distasteful, So I changed the name a bit.
Kushala, Chameleos and Teostra are related? I only really played the PSP versions so I am not sure about new lore and stuff, but I think I only remember teostra/lunala being a thing. Morphologically kushala and tesotra would fit though, except for the head
Related in the same vein as the 3 starters for Pokemon games. It's a Rock, Paper Scissors thing. Teostra Fire beats Chameleos, Cham poison beats Kush, Kush Heat Resistance helps beat Teostra
Because he is a pacifist unless provoked and really isnt actually that strong as far as the lore goes. I should make this very clear that this is based on the strength of the monster in the lore, not my personal opinion
Your right was pretty much the first giant elder dragon we see in strength maybe the weakest but it left an impression on me to continue with the series so for me its number 1
Constructive criticism. Since you're not doing live videos where we can see you, it would be wise to write out and read from scripts. You're stuttering on some words, and missing some others completely, is extremely hard to listen to at times. Do multiple takes if you need to to get timing down. Good luck man! Videos are decent at times.
I’ve never really had a problem with the Fatalis family. I would literally grind them, the White Fatalis especially(damn that’s cool armor), solo. The Elder Dragon That always gave me the most trouble was the Alatreon, the damn thing has basically no weaknesses, and what weaknesses it has, they changed when it switches forms, so good luck with that.
Back in my Tri days, I used to grind Alatreon solo because back then everyone wanted to sleep bomb it and I just wanted to straight up kill it. Mind you I only had success doing this like 10 times but it was my only notable MH feat yet. Never solo'd White or Crimson though
Fyi Dire Miralis does not summon meteor from the space. He use his special back wings to launch firery magma balls into the sky and eventually fall back to ground. It never displayed properly because of the hardware limitation. You can actually see at the intro scene where he launches magma ball before initiating the fight.

Also, Shah-Dalamadur is also the size of the Earths Core.
Yeah I hear he's based off the World Serpent from Norse mythology
fun fact : teostra always does his supernova 90 seconds after going into rage mode, unless he's doing something else in which case he'll do it straight after
Dire Miralis is a close relative of the Fatalis, being the reincarnation of one or so according to the lore of Monster Hunter. Why didn't you include him to the Fatalis family?
armand jayson Centeno could you imagine if it wasn't a relative but a fully grown fatalis
Maybe because it's not a Fatalis, it's a Dire Miralis?
Maybe but I still highly think its true after all, most of the lore of Monster Hunter is real.
*Nergigante shows up and sweeps the floor with most of these*

No respec for Lao Shan. The first Elder Dragon you fight in Monhun history right? I know you fight Kirin before him I think but come on, Kirin ain't no dragon.
Kirin is literally a horse with dragon head.
glowmymind elder dragons arent dragons
Does it bother anyone else that almost everyone in youtube videos overcharges their greatsword charge, making it go back to a level 2 charge?
What about Zorah Magdaroz?
Btw dope video 🔥
Thanks! But for Zorah, this video was made before World came out
I thought the White Dragon elder dragon from stories was really cool. The game is so underrated but it is really fun to play through.
alatreon is a great baggi with wings...
If anything the Uklanos should be a brute wyvern not a flying wyvern.
It's not a theropod dinosaur so why would it be a Brute Wyvern?
Nuke2099 And it doesn't fly so calling it a flying wyvern is actually offputting.
It actually isn't. I think you need to look up what a synapsid and mammal-like reptiles are. G. Jagras also uses Zinogres skeleton too.
I agreed, fatalis is the most badass elder dragon. When i first time facing it, mostly end up in humiliating defeats.

1)Alatreon
Good video, but.. dala-mander?? Come on man dalamadur doesn't even have an n in it. How'd you read it like that? Lol
I know it doesnt but there is a long story as to why I do what I do. It's mostly out of respect for someone that means alot to me. It also sounds a bit "hurr durr" and I find it distasteful, So I changed the name a bit.
Same with the way he called Alatreon as Alatron it bugged the hell out of me
DigdugDak908 just pronounce it how its spelled, thats all ya gotta do
sCIeNce DoOd he doesn’t have too if you dnt like it leave
The way he says these names makes me cringe. Gogmizios DX
I like making people feel uncomfortable so there you go
Fair enough XD
Lol.
You actually had me thinking Fatalis wasn't number 1 for a sec there...
@@DigdugDak908 alright, gotcha
Why no Lao Shan lung :(
Because he is a pacifist unless provoked and really isnt actually that strong as far as the lore goes. I should make this very clear that this is based on the strength of the monster in the lore, not my personal opinion
and who is that?
Jasepo A dragon whose skull been sheltered byba annoying crab
Jasepo - Its a walking punchbag.
12:53 em... i thought he was doing some gesture... lol
😲😲😲😲 amazing i love this game
My favorite Elder Dragon :
*Vaal Hazak*

It's a Longsword and it's the Nether Dielmnity from the Abyssal Lagiacrus from MH3U
DigdugDak908 thanks
It's a Longsword and it's the Nether Dielmnity from the Abyssal Lagiacrus from MH3U
9:45 he's literally in his full power in iceborne
3:48 weapon’s name please
hey dak, will you upload video reacting to the new trailer? shit is lit
New Trailer? I guess I gotta take a peek
yup, check the monster hunter channel
Fyi Dire Miralis does not summon meteor from the space. He use his special back wings to launch firery magma balls into the sky and eventually fall back to ground. It never displayed properly because of the hardware limitation. You can actually see at the intro scene where he launches magma ball before initiating the fight.
What armor is that @13:14?!
That would be Seltas Z
