- These monsters are some fan favorites and I would love to see some of these at least return. What about you? What do you think of this list? Should I make another with even more monsters?

D. Seltas and D. Seltas queen would be perfect, imagine fighting a bunch of seltas that the queen is commanding

This would definetely fit the swarm mechanic. I'd also see a reworked fight because the current one uses one seltas only
This is what I see so far.
1. Leviathan skeleton seem to working fine now judging by the monster we saw recently. It gave some hope that I will finally see Lagiacrus return but they said underwater will still not return. So it's 50/50 for me.
2. They are talking about "Herd" mechanic. Do you know what I am thinking when I heard.... The word herd? Herbivore fanged beast living in herd. But what monsters we know of living in herd? Monkeys (Blangonga & Congalala) boars (Bulldrome) these are the small one but mh Wild open the opportunity for a large monster herd and what kind of large mammal living in herd? Buffalo, horse, giraffe and of course "Elephant" so what creature in mh is the equivalent of elephant? Gammoth (obviously) imagine, you traversing the tundra step and see a large herd of 20 popos, and you see it for the first time, juvenile Gammoth, 6 of them. In front of the herd are the Elder, THE Gammoth matriarch. And aside from herd system. I heard that there's a season system. That means there will a season that Gammoth will be passive and friendly and there will be a season when they are in heat. I think, we might get a quest to stop heated Gammoth on rampage. With these evidence I think it'll be 70/30 chance for Gammoth.
Your arguments give me hope for the inclusion of some of my favorite monsters. I've been reluctant to put Lagi on the list because I wish to fight him underwater but it's confirmed that won't happen. But Gammoth and other herd-type monsters make me happy for the future. There is a chance!
@@DigdugDak908 the thing I really really really really really want to see the most is the glorious turf war between Gammoth and Tigrex. Unstoppable vs immovable. Ferocity vs Endurance.

Gammoth vs Tigrex
The return of Ahtal-ka would be awesome, it's such a cool monster and the big open areas and next gen hardware would really allow her to shine.
I totally forgot about it. It's such a cool monster, easily a top 2 favorite final end game monster for me. Heck yeah let's cross out fingers and hope it returns!
Don't forget Dak, MR Kulve had a more traditional hunt rather than the siege. You still had to give her the beatdown and break parts to keep her from retreating, but it was a much faster process than the full on siege from base World as all the "spend forty years picking up tracks" fluff was gone.
I want Glavenus back
Extremely hot take: I want Gypceros, not necessarily for the fight itself but for the interactions with other monsters. They could work with the fake death mechanic and try making it more tricky to recognise (like for example playing the quest cleared sequence despite not being dead) and also use this fake death against other monsters, we could also see a turf war between Gypceros and Nerscylla. It has potential to be reworked into a interesting monster that is not completely hated by everybody.
From what I've heard, it's apparently entirely possible that the hunt complete rewards screen might be gone in Wilds because you're not sent back to the village or anything and you get partbreak rewards the moment you get the break, so you probably just get the rewards the moment you kill/capture the monster or start carving the body.
These changes 100% set up Gypceros to complete and unapologetically troll hunters in a way the old games could never accomplish lmao.

Also the fact that apparently you need to get on top of the body to carve it and no longer inside it would make this interaction even better.
@@linfa3354 Lmao yeah, before you could always tell if a Gypceros was still alive even without the quest clear pop-up or the flashing crystal 'cause living monsters have hit boxes and dead ones don't, so that made it hella easy to tell. Now though? Both are treated like physical objects, and more likely than not by the time you'd get the first clues it's actually still alive you'd already have clambered up on top of the body and started trying to carve it.
Yeah, they really do have all the set-up to make Gypceros an absolute menace lol.
Seltas would be perfect tbh, it would fit their Pack thing
Malzeno wouldnt work in wilds, from what we've seen, this time the approach will be much more grounded, and specially SLOWER, like world was. Malzeno is the flagship of sunbreak because it was designed with the bombastic, super fast paced combat style of that game. I mean maybe Malzeno could work, but they would have to really work it for it to fit the game design direction that wilds is taking, essentially making it slower, and prbbly no crazy vampire shenanigans xD
I was one of many who looked down on Rise/Sunbreak. I still do. I prefer Wolrd to them, given my slower playstyle. With that said, it is probably a long shot to get Malzeno in but I would be actually overjoyed to have him return. The only Rise monster I've taken a liking to, it would be nice to have it in even if it's slowed down to compensate.
@@DigdugDak908 yeah, I didn't mean to say the design was bad, I like that guy's design, he's got one cool drip! But yeah, not a fan of rise, I like the world approach better, but nothing bad if anyone likes rise.
we need gobul!! one of my fav early fights. also wanna see duramboros and rajang (ik rajang in every recent game but he the best monster of all time)
sadly I HIGHLY doubt the malzeno will return he was made for a very fast type of game that rise/sunbreak was and I don't believe that fighting a slower version would be fun. still a great monster but doesn't really have a place in mainline monster hunter
Fellow lancer. Lance was my first weapon. Really didn't want to rely on the roll, with my poor eyesight, but I've since branched out to many weapons.
Akantor was in concept art for the elders recess in World so, with Wild's looking to have huge maps/zones, akantor and ukanlos may not need their boss arenas anymore. Maybe have quests with them and elder dragons together.
Seltas and seltas queen have to happen. They are amazing monsters, them being insects adds so much variety to the game, the subspecies need a redeption arc in the expansion, etc. There are so many reasons to bring these guys back. It's tragic that desert seltas tied with steel uragaan for last on the monster poll. Neither of them deserved that, to be honest.
Yamatsukami would be awesome. giant balloon, hive, octopus, with human teeth, taht breaths in forests to get at teh soil. He's pulls a mega maid from Space Balls to get at the dirt and just pukes up the trees and monsters he sucks in. Heve him do taht in the fight, please!
Kulve could happen, assuming they do 16 player lobbies again. I enjoyed her for the first 30 to 50 hunts but, for the other 450 or so, low balling that probably, she got annoying. Never got that single kjarr weapon. I had all of them apart from the kjarr bazel gl. She's a fucking pinata, pinatas are not Monster Hunter. You farm parts to make what you want, you don't pop a pinata for prizes. Safi was debatably worse. I do agree that short hunts are boring.
Gigginox has to happen. He's been gone since 3rd gen. Imagine like that chatacabra being attacked by the raptors, large monster vs. small monsters, but it's giggies on something in a tundra all latching onto it. Could laos do this with zamites but giggys have the added bonus of when they drink enough blood they are abe to use poison. All the animations of monsters getting swarmed, as they flop about while latched onto their target and it tries to shake them off. That is the true potential of this new small monster vs. large monster turf war system in Wilds. Gigginox exists because khezu was an utter failure at what they wanted him to be. Yes, now he's a meme in Japan as "ugly-cute" but his reason for existing was horror and gigginox was them trying that again. Gigginox is also the 4th in the quartet with; tigrex, nargacuga, and barioth. Gigginox and barioth were added in the same game.
We need more Rhenoplos, Konchu, Bullfanggo, Apceros and Kestodon. I want them to be more aggressive than ever.

Ohh I also forgot the worst one of all.... Altaroth. I cant use block thanks to their consistent backstabbing attack I get from those critters.

I wrote down 24 monsters to return. I didn't think it would have been smart to include them all into the video. It would have been too long, but rest assured they did make the full list.
Lagi would not get the justice it deserves with no underwater combat
@@bokadam2851 bruh they could just revamp his moveset and also have him fight by in water like how jyuratodus does with mud even though it may look weird bc lagi is 8 feet tall and 80 ft long at minimum

lol.. I dont think Malzeno will fit with wilds that puch slower and more down to earth just like worldborne.. and I dont think capcom will bring him back to wilds (well maybe on MHWilds Cataclysm with tweaked movesets for wilds). I really like the Idea of Akantor and Kulve coming for Wilds tho ^^

I actually agree with everything except the gen 5 monsters. The less gen 5 monsters the better imo
100% valid. If Capcom gave me the power, I would only bring back monsters trapped in generations from at least 4th and back. 5th gen just happened, I'm sure we'll see a number of them so no need to pat themselves on the back, lol.
@@DigdugDak908 Don't get me wrong, there's some I would like to see like Bazelgeuse and Goss Harag, but each Generation has very little from the last one. MH4 only had 5 gen 3 monsters and World had a whopping 0 from gen 4, So I'm hoping that trend continues.

5:30 Yeah you're wrong here, Yama appeared in both MH2 and MHFU (it also appeared in MHFrontier and MHOnline but they aren't real mh games). Personally, Yama is my favorite in term of design but the gameplays are all horribly executed. As much as I love Yama, I can't see anyway for Capcom to make the fight fun and enjoyable if it makes a return
In my head, I was thinking of a spin on Zorah. Like have it move like a siege monster and kind of throw out the book on its normal attacks and really embrace a more active and mobile fight. Like a Namielle mixed with World Kush.

Time to make it cool and dynamic. Although, if Frontier couldn't fix it then maybe there isn't much hope because as we all know, Frontier is where monsters go to get cra,y new tools.
it makes me rather happy that I've been seeing more people expressing a desire for gigginox to make a return, and not only from those of us whose #1 favourite is gigginox. gives me a bit of hope that it might actually have a shot after all these years... if there are fans thinking of it, then some of the devs have to be as well, right? 🥲
maybe I'm just coping, but I think it fits wilds' aesthetic and gameplay direction perfectly; its design and unconventional fighting tactics fit the bill in the goal of making the forbidden lands feel foreign and hostile, and it's got tons of potential for environmental and monster interactions with its climbing ability. not to mention the giggis play right into the focus on monster count/density... all it needs is a snowy map with some caves and it'd be right at home!
that aside, I'd like to see the other monsters mentioned too, especially those that weren't in 5th gen. Seltas Queen in particular would be hella cool in a modern game.
