Ukanlos needs an underwater fight. Same goes for Zamtrios, Mizutsune and Almudron(though it would be nice if not every swimming monsters are good at underwater.)
Good picks! Agnaktor, Zamtrios, Qurupeco are all great monsters, and seeing a Mohran or Dalamadur in HD would be incredible. I’ve got (Rust) Duramboros, Monoblos and Kecha Wacha up on my list.
Rust was actually on the list, but in editing, I cut out his entry because I rambled too much, and I wanted this video out before the next showcase, which is tomorrow, I think.
I want him back too but I feel like he should just be reclassified as a leviathan. I fail to see any distinction between the two classes. I also don't understand why Remobra were reclassified as snakes when the flying wyvern class was perfectly fine for them.
@@mallow2902 I mean Leviathans are directly connected to water and adapted to aquatic life, Najarala is a land snake based monster, if anything Piscean Wyverns should be changed to Leviathans
@@nathanblackburn1193 Mizutsune is a largely terrestrial leviathan though. Piscene wyverns don't fit the body structure that leviathans do because they're typically bipedal, while leviathans are quadrupedal.
@@mallow2902 Mizu still lives near exclusively around water and the main trait of Leviathans is aquatic/semi aquatic living (this includes sand and lava btw) which all Piscean Wyverns do too (also Gobul, a leviathan, is heavily based off of a fish) and frankly they're not going to remove the Snake Wyvern class, like we have Neopteron and Temnoceran and while yes spiders aren't insects I don't think people would care if they were the same class but they made them separate even when there was only 1 Temnoceran (2 if you count subspecies) and we only have 2 added in Rise and Rachnoids are just baby Raknas (technically there's 4 with Pyre Rakna and Pyrantulas but I don't count them) so that's 3 distinct Temnocerans and 1 of them is just the juvenile version of one of them

Even the most terrestrial of leviathans are still connected to the water in some major way, even when it's a case of their adaptations for aquatic mobility being repurposed for movement through sand, ice or magma (something shared with piscine wyverns). Vs Najarala which is LITERALLY just a giant burrowing snake.
Qurupeco would also be a really neat creature to show ecological interactions and the like, which is a stated thing they're trying to bring more of into this game IIRC
Which is part of the basis of me adding him to the list. Making the world a living breathing thing with interactions with different species of monsters will hep with Immersion a ton.
HARD AGREE with zamtrios, the sand whales and dalamadur.. the rest are a hard PASS. Bazel was in World, Iceborne, Rise, Sunbreak. Need a break from that thing. Bring back Seltas, Seltas Queen, Nibelsnarf and a remastered Plesioth with the return of underwater combat
I'm with you on Baz, only if they leave out Deviljho and Rajang. Give me back Gundam armor Seltas Queen. Both forms, I love that monster. Underwater combat is something I always want to return but that's normally a thing people get mad at me for liking, lol.
I mean, technically base Baz wasn't in Iceborne because Seething entirely supplanted him, and even then Seething wasn't an invader so he didn't have nearly the same presence as Baz in HR did with Savage Jho becoming the invasive terror of hunters instead. And then Rise/Sunbreak destroyed the whole invader gimmick entirely. Also, Deviljho hadn't skipped a game since his inception until Rise came along. So I can see Bazel being treated similarly. And with Wilds' whole thing with massive locales you travel between via the big sandship, the bomber wyvern who's ecology and design sets him up as a very long-distance flyer that sails across the high skies from one place to another seems like a pretty thematically fitting invader for the game... _Also his armor's really cool and strongly appeals to the gunlancer side of my brain._
If they just gave Baz a standalone quest or two I think that'd be fine, just dont give him much of a story focus. Like how they did with Gore/Shagaru in Rise.
Zamtrios should had been in Rise or Sunbreak. It made perfect sense. They need to give Khezu a damn break and bring back Giggy. I’m tired of seeing him in every game.
I know he was just in Sunbreak, but I want Seregios back so bad. He's my favorite monster in the series, but he so often feels like the forgotten flagship that just doesn't really get much love. I'd really like him to become a monster that comes back semi-regularly. Give him a subspecies too! I'd also like to see Brachydios return, even though he was already in Iceborne, and it's another case of favoritism for me. He's just another one of my favorite monsters ever. Gore Magala and Shagaru Magala should also come back, especially if Nergigante returns mostly because I want to see them in a turf war. Same as the two above, I know they were in a game recently. For monsters that have been on any length of a hiatus, Seltas Queen NEEDS to return. I really want them to both bring back old bug monsters and make more brand new ones because the bug, spider, and crab classes are all super cool and unique. Seltas Queen is another all-time favorite of mine because of how she interacts with the smaller Seltas drone, and I'd love to see her adapted to a new game. Speaking of bugs and crabs, bring in Akura Vashimu and Taikun Zamuza from Frontier. Really, just bring in more Frontier monsters in general. There's so many unique designs in that game that would be a shame to never see again. Sure, some of them absolutely could not work (looking at you, Eruzerion and basically all of the zenith species), but I would say the vast majority could be adapted. Other ones I want to return in no particular order, Monoblos (let him replace Diablos just this once), Zamtrios, Najarala, Hypnocatrice, Goss Harag, Nerscylla, Gogmazios (he could be the big "final update" monster like Fatalis is in Iceborne), Gigginox, Malfestio, Yama Tsukami...frankly there's so many I could name. Don't even have to bring back all of 'em, lol. But if even a few of these returned I'd be pretty happy.

Yeah that is odd, when I recorded this video it was right after I made a trailer discussion video and I paid lip service to Chatacabra. But since we got him, I say bring back Tetsu as well.
I think you're going to get your wish on a giant snake monster. If you look at the logo for Monster Hunter Wilds Then look at that huge hook looking thing in the background when the game comes on I believe that that is actually the part of a giant serpent. That's the actual end game Boss

Gigginox is my number one desire, but the rest of my list of 10 would be Qurupeco, Duramboros, Gravios, Agnaktor, Plesioth, Nibelsnarf, Seltas+Queen, Nerscylla and Najarala. I would love to have Gobul and Lagiacrus return too, but with underwater combat being recently deconfirmed I'm just not sure I'd want to have them if they're land locked :/
ngl i kinda hope whe get Somnacanth , cause its one of my favorite monsters in Rise even though to chance of it apearing in wild isnt that high , considering that rise was the latest main line game (atleast if i remember correctly) . I could see Somnacanth showing up in Oasis or maybe deep in caves where its nice & cool with a large body of water perhapts . Another Mosnter i kinda hope to see is Espinas , Kulve Taroth , Nergigante and MAYBE fatalis + white fatalis . Kulve Taroth & Nergigante cause i think they would fit the desert theme with their designs . Espinas & Fatalis + white Fatalis cause i think thos are cool & i havent really fough fatalis or white fatalis yet

I'll be honest uragaan can stay 5 generations away from me lol. He has more hp than most elder dragons and you fight him early on when your gear is trash. Master rank uragaan really made him a non stop rollling pinwheel that can 2 hit you it was insane and he had like 27k hp. If they do bring him back make his hp more similar to radobaan.

So I have to select rise monster and the best monster I can think of are either magnamolo or Almudron. I choose magna cuz I like him.

@unknownbenefactor8029 I swear on my honor that he was in the original script. If you notice, in the beginning I said 10 monsters but the video only has 9. I cut his out because during recording, a bunch of background noise kinda ruined his segment. On top of the fact that I rambled about a few things that made it hard to salvage the audio. But the main points was his ability to make mud pillars and his tail club. A monster geomancer is too good to not bring back.

He's been gone for a full generation. When Uragaan was missing for a full generation, my heart flew to the moon when I saw him in World. Maybe Kecha comes back. In the video I asked for a different monkey to come back but I'd gladly have them all return.

Not gonna lie, I forgot Astalos was in Sunbreak, lmao! I even made a video on him and still forgot. That's my bad. The fact remains that my favorite of the Fated Four is still nowhere to be seen. Gammoth NEEDS to be in Wilds.
Uragaan eh, interesting choice and nice story for it. I don't dislike him. I kind of think he should have just been replaced with the subspecies and skipped what the original gave us. Simple reason is that the rolling is nice but his element/status combo is taken from basarios/gravios. At least with steel it was his own pair that also made sense in the volcano, Instead of fire and carbon monoxide putting you to sleep, it was sulfuric gas that made you stink so you can't use items. Both him and desert seltas didn't deserve the bottom spot on the popularity poll, let iodrome of somehting take that spot. Steel uragaan needs a redeption arc so I'll take the base one in WIlds and wait for steel in the expansion. I was one of the crazies that asked for steel in iceborne because stench is a unique status that World lacked. Also, steel uragaan's armor was great for gl. Zamtrios has to happen, we will get a tundra map in this game so just give him a couple zones of frozen over water. Imagine zamites in a small vs. large monster turf war, all latching onto a monster with their teeth in a swarm as they are flopping about all over it and it's trying to get them off of it. Tigerstripe is really fun so he would be awesome for the expansion, probably. qurupeco needs to happen, now that we have turf wars and herds of monsters. Imagine him calling a bunch of the bears. They did say that every locale will have, at a minimum, 2 large monsters that form herds. The more monsters this bird can mimic the better. I hope he's not shown in trailers, as well as some of the tings he can summon, so we get the magic of that moment of him summoning jho again. Him insighting turf wars and flying off would be hilarious. nerscylla and rackna-kadaki are different enough, i'd be happy to see nerscylla again. Yes, give the Rise monsters a break, for the most part. No, concalala was MH2's jagras. Blangonga was like a rathian ish monster. I would like to see concalala again, he's fun and goofy. Full of personality and a great introduction to the gorillas. The only reason lavasioth stole that spot was becasue World's game engine sucked. MT Framework was awful, it's why the never used it since World. Took them a year to make zorah work and his main mechanics were done on a PS2 platformer that used a modified racing game engine a year before MH1 released, in a game that took a year as a whole to make and also beat Mario Galaxy to its spherical planets and gravity level design by 4 years.. If that engine wasn't trash, lagi and agnaktor would have been in World. I would prefer the pickle because he wasn't in the last 2 games, if i had to choose one or the other. If we got both, i'd be happy. Seething not being an invader was tragic. Dalamadur would be really fun. It looks like we are getting the lagi style skleton back, with balahara, so there's no reason not to have the snakes too.
This was a comment that was more of a full summary. Thank you so much for taking the time to breakdown the engine limitations that I wasn't familiar with. I only knew MT Framework from Street Fighter. Knowing now that it just not well suited to this type of game, it was still a wonder that they got the game to run as it did. Nevertheless, I do appreciate your indept insight and thoughts on all my points. Once my living situation clears up, I'll go back to making more videos. I have a few ideas I'm waiting to try.
Let's be realistic, dalamandur will not come back and I know that I will be hated by everyone but lagiacrus will 100% not come into the game either what is lagiacrus supposed to do in a desert
So far, the only biome we have is this desert. Maybe they exclusively have this one area, or maybe we get a few more. Who knows. Maybe we get access to more later.

Najarala should return, it's the only large monster snake wyvern in the series (so far, maybe Wilds will add new ones)

@@DigdugDak908 yeah I may get to playing rise eventually but the combat just looks too fast and unrealistic for my preferences. Looks like a spider man game half the time haha. I’d love to see these in the mainline series.

I'll be honest uragaan can stay 5 generations away from me lol. He has more hp than most elder dragons and you fight him early on when your gear is trash. Master rank uragaan really made him a non stop rollling pinwheel that can 2 hit you it was insane and he had like 27k hp. If they do bring him back make his hp more similar to radobaan.
I main Lance 100% so his figt for me never was annoying because all the rolling around was okay for me because I just hold block and I'm fine, lol.

@@DigdugDak908 look, Rise may not be as popular as world but it deserves recognition too. I myself am proud to say I like monster hunter rise as much as I like world. So I have to select rise monster and the best monster I can think of are either magnamolo or Almudron. I choose magna cuz I like him.
@@unknownbenefactor8029 My reservations on Magna are just because when I I had to make a video about him, my work got corrupted twice and had to outsource the project. He also fights like a fighting game character which I do like.

@unknownbenefactor8029 I swear on my honor that he was in the original script. If you notice, in the beginning I said 10 monsters but the video only has 9. I cut his out because during recording, a bunch of background noise kinda ruined his segment. On top of the fact that I rambled about a few things that made it hard to salvage the audio. But the main points was his ability to make mud pillars and his tail club. A monster geomancer is too good to not bring back.

Haven’t watched the video but I’m gonna say it now anyway, bring Kecha wacha back. It’s my favorite monster and he never returned even once.
He's been gone for a full generation. When Uragaan was missing for a full generation, my heart flew to the moon when I saw him in World. Maybe Kecha comes back.
In the video I asked for a different monkey to come back but I'd gladly have them all return.
@@DigdugDak908 Eh, Uragaan wasn't gone for a full generation. He missed 4/4U but came back in Gen/GU.

Uragaan eh, interesting choice and nice story for it. I don't dislike him. I kind of think he should have just been replaced with the subspecies and skipped what the original gave us. Simple reason is that the rolling is nice but his element/status combo is taken from basarios/gravios. At least with steel it was his own pair that also made sense in the volcano, Instead of fire and carbon monoxide putting you to sleep, it was sulfuric gas that made you stink so you can't use items. Both him and desert seltas didn't deserve the bottom spot on the popularity poll, let iodrome of somehting take that spot. Steel uragaan needs a redeption arc so I'll take the base one in WIlds and wait for steel in the expansion. I was one of the crazies that asked for steel in iceborne because stench is a unique status that World lacked. Also, steel uragaan's armor was great for gl.
Zamtrios has to happen, we will get a tundra map in this game so just give him a couple zones of frozen over water. Imagine zamites in a small vs. large monster turf war, all latching onto a monster with their teeth in a swarm as they are flopping about all over it and it's trying to get them off of it. Tigerstripe is really fun so he would be awesome for the expansion, probably.
qurupeco needs to happen, now that we have turf wars and herds of monsters. Imagine him calling a bunch of the bears. They did say that every locale will have, at a minimum, 2 large monsters that form herds. The more monsters this bird can mimic the better. I hope he's not shown in trailers, as well as some of the tings he can summon, so we get the magic of that moment of him summoning jho again. Him insighting turf wars and flying off would be hilarious.
nerscylla and rackna-kadaki are different enough, i'd be happy to see nerscylla again. Yes, give the Rise monsters a break, for the most part.
No, concalala was MH2's jagras. Blangonga was like a rathian ish monster. I would like to see concalala again, he's fun and goofy. Full of personality and a great introduction to the gorillas.
The only reason lavasioth stole that spot was becasue World's game engine sucked. MT Framework was awful, it's why the never used it since World. Took them a year to make zorah work and his main mechanics were done on a PS2 platformer that used a modified racing game engine a year before MH1 released, in a game that took a year as a whole to make and also beat Mario Galaxy to its spherical planets and gravity level design by 4 years.. If that engine wasn't trash, lagi and agnaktor would have been in World.
I would prefer the pickle because he wasn't in the last 2 games, if i had to choose one or the other. If we got both, i'd be happy. Seething not being an invader was tragic.
Dalamadur would be really fun. It looks like we are getting the lagi style skleton back, with balahara, so there's no reason not to have the snakes too.
This was a comment that was more of a full summary. Thank you so much for taking the time to breakdown the engine limitations that I wasn't familiar with. I only knew MT Framework from Street Fighter. Knowing now that it just not well suited to this type of game, it was still a wonder that they got the game to run as it did. Nevertheless, I do appreciate your indept insight and thoughts on all my points. Once my living situation clears up, I'll go back to making more videos. I have a few ideas I'm waiting to try.

Let's be realistic, dalamandur will not come back and I know that I will be hated by everyone but lagiacrus will 100% not come into the game either what is lagiacrus supposed to do in a desert
So far, the only biome we have is this desert. Maybe they exclusively have this one area, or maybe we get a few more. Who knows. Maybe we get access to more later.
