- A short while back I shared the Viviva Colorsheets and I showed you the watercolor paper that I used to absorb what was leftover on my glass mat after I was done. I had used way too much and didn't want to waste all that gorgeous color. Today I'm sharing cards made with those papers plus napkins I received in a swap from Whitney Kosters. You must give this a try!

The glue sticks are great for these napkin cards. I usually use that to put down the napkin if I want to keep the velvet texture. Love these cards.

I love the idea of extending the image to the inside of the card. What a great idea for such beautiful cards!

Hello, I want to make a napkin card, so I went on RUclips looking for a tutorial, and there you were! I hadn't thought about embossing it, but you showed me how with Anna's old embossing folders, and I loved it! I have those old embossing folders, all of them, and never used them as I kept buying newer ones. Thank you for teaching me how to use them, and I will do so! Your cards here are fabulous!!

Your embossing folder with the window is fabulous :)))
I`ve been doing the same with the other two white layers (I stamp them with images and use them for collaged scrap masterboards and other projects).
For decoupaging on cards, I use a simple glue stick. For me, it`s the quickest and easiest no-mess solution. Also, when decoupaging on cards, you don`t need to cover the image with glue and that`s why I love using the glue stick.

Hi from Australia. Excellent video, thanks for sharing. I have used tacky glue but never thought to emboss. Guess what I'm doing today with a HUGE pile of beautiful napkins. A friend gave me a bunch of Christmas napkins so endless possibilities. The challenge at Christmas is to get motivated when it is 100 degrees outside so I think I'll tackle those in the next few month when it cools off. Cheerio.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I think it’s hard to do Christmas cards at Christmas. There is always so much going on. In your case it would be hard to get into the HoHoHo spirit when it’s so hot outside. I’d make them throughout your winter months and be ahead of the game.

One question : what can be done with the white sheets removed from the napkins? I don't throw them away thinking i could use them for something and now you mentioned. Thank you!
Hello there. You can use the white part of the napkins by stamping on them and use them just as you would tissue paper or any light weight paper. A great use is to stamps words or sentiments. They look so amazing on a project. You can also crumple, glue and collage them for an interesting underlaying to a page or book cover. Once glued (or Mod Podged) you can use a variety of mediums on them to change the color to your project. Hope that helps. thanks for watching my videos.

OMG. You need to utube using glad wrap and an iron to put the napkin on the card. IT IS A GAME CHANGER. I love those napkins.

Hi, Beautiful cards! What is the name of the jar adhesive that you use and does it have an odour? Thank you.
Hi Deborah. On these cards I used Liquitex Gel Medium and Distress collage medium. You can use anything similar. I prefer not using anything glossy.
I wonder if you could mix your top layer with a little distress stain and use that on the top?

Beautiful! What did you rub over the dried embossed napkin? Was it an ink pad you used and what was the name and the colour? I definitely what to try this technique. I will be watching move of your videos. Thank you from Canada.
Vintage Photo Distress Ink, but you could use any color that blends with the colors of the image. Thanks so much for watching Dianne

The glue stick works to apply your napkin.

I just put glue stick on the card and lay the napkin down. Nothing over the top. When dry I emboss. It's just like it's paper and not a napkin on top of card.
