    Doing this tomorrow. Thanks for a comprehensive walk through. Dealer wanted $283 for the part, I got the OEM part for $35 on EBay. The Dealer total bill with labor would have been just over $400. Thanks again!

      Update: Completed in less than 1/2 hour. Only difference in my 2012 Sonata Limited is a 22mm for the steering wheel nut. Perfect walkthrough, Thank you!

    What an OUTSTANDING VIDEO. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the detail (which I did not find on other youtube videos) and for stressing the important issues (which I usually end up discovering 'the hard way'. I was about to just give up and pay to have this replacement done, but with your video (which even directs me to where I can get the replacement part), I am gonna do it myself and not only save a lot of money, but also save the time and hassle of getting the vehicle into and back from, the garage 5 stars, no doubt about it.

    appreciate the time taken to focus just enough on each step, worked for a santa fe same year, was missing the push from underneath to remove air bag rest was identical. resolved low beams not working issue, and sometimes blinkers would not work. all working now.

    Thank you so much for taking the time to record this video. Though it didn’t apply 100% to my 2012 Accent se, because of the airbag using T40 screws instead of push springs to remove it, it was accurate to the end of the video.
    Great money saving video.

    If I just need to replace the wiper switch, do I still need to remove the steering wheel? My turn signal side works just fine, but the Kia boyz damaged my wiper switch when removing my ignition switch. Thanks for posting this btw!

    This is a great video and love that you cover the details. Other videos don't say much about keeping the clock spring position. How critical is this? Can it move a little and then just put it back in position ?

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  11 месяцев назад +1

      If you needed to move it a little you could , but I would put a mark on both surfaces to make sure its back in place exactly. Taping seems to work the best so it doesn't get out of place. Thanks for the question.

    I have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. Recently I discovered that the brake lights were not working. The rear window brake light DOES work as do the turn signals. The fuses are fine. I’m thinking the rear bulbs are fine because the tail lights work at night. I don’t think I need to replace the break light switch because the rear window brake light works. In researching this issue a few people said it could be the turn signal switch (without explanation). Do you agree this might be my issue? Great video! If you think that is the problem with my brake lights I will revisit this video and replace the turn signal switch. Thanks!

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  Год назад

      I would start with the simplest solution first by replacing one of the tailight bulbs. These have a dual filament so one is your taillight the other your brake light. So it is possible the filaments could be bad. If that does not fix the issue , I would move on from there. Fuses , junction box etc , possibly switch. Hope this helps.

    Great video! Really.
    You do not mention what made you replace the turn signal switch. I am interested because I am not sure if doing that on my Sonata 2011 will fix my problem. When the lights are on and I use the turn signal (any direction) the dashboard flashes (as if something is shorting) - so I am thinking it might be the switch... but maybe I am wrong. Any thoughts?

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  2 года назад

      The light switch was glitching out . I would definitely start with this given your symtoms. Worse case scenario you will have a brand new switch. Thanks for watching.
