Bro, went through 6 sticks of memory 3 different brands, endless searching on Dell's site and reddit and this is the ONLY thing I found that suggested this step, and it worked, FFS. Thank you.
Man!!!!! So much thank you for the final solving video! I had a black screen of death after installing 2 new hd's. One in the 2280 and one in the 2230 slot. I did tried everything what I read on red it and see in tutorials. Only read nowhere that you have to wait so long before it's back to life... Tnx so much, my M18 can work for me again. ❤️
When this happened to me I also searched everywhere. So there was a total darkness ... nothing was good to fix this. Searched entire youtube to the far far corners ... nothing. So when I finaly figre this out it was like : damn this must go public !!! I can't belive Alienware not telling this to customers.
Thanks a lot !! I freaked out, opened and closed my laptop like 3 times until I found your video. My laptop had the fans spinning at max and the power button wouldn’t turn it off. I was ready to send my laptop back
Thanks for the video. Well presented. This could prevent unnecessary return. I am expecting my M18 R1 in 3 weeks time and I planned a Max out upgrade for the RAM. I likely might experience this type of issue. If that happens, I will have this video handy.
@@morcoviatzaDid your new RAM run at maximum speed when installed or pegged at 4800MT/s? I intend to upgrade with Crucial RAM 64GB Kit 5200MT/s (or 4800MT/s)
Just got my m18 ryzen customized with 64gb, get the black screen every time and have to hard restart to get it to work. Anybody know if this process in the video could have negative impacts if it's not the actual issue?
@@morcoviatza LEGENDARY!!!! Man, is it possible for me to speak with you privately?? i have a few questions and i wouldn't want to clog your comment section, if you could let me of course!! 🙏🙏

Yvw. I also was blown away by that huge delay in bios init. Did not had enough patience at the begining too.

Thank God for this video. I was about to send back my second kit of ram because of this. Curious though, what exactly did this do?
It's resetting bios to default however doing so it's taking huge amount of time
