I am currently reading and cooking from your book Nistisima for Lent, my family has enjoyed every recipe! It is wonderful to meet your yiayia in this video as I have read about her so often in your book! It is a delight to read - you are a wonderful writer as well as a gifted chef. Can’t wait to make this cake! Thank you!

Hmmm, Cypriot style bread pudding. Never seen this before. I got to try it. But I'll be adding some Grand Marnier in my custard.

Can you use the water you cooked the orange in for the syrup? In my head, this would either have a great orange taste or be bitter from the orange skin… 🤔

Does using kataifi yield the same result, or does it need to be ripped instead of shredded?

    Looks delicious!
Just one question; do you need to use that quantity of oil or you can reduce it without affecting the recipe?

Is the 400g of caster sugar for the cake and syrup? Or 400g only for the cake? Thanks
