This is the best hat tutorial for the EM-1010. After owning my machine for a year and a half, I finally feel ready to give it a try thanks to this very detailed video! Thank you so much!
Hey Allan, I'm late to the game. This tutorial was so helpful. Especially the parts about adjusting the billstop height and adjusting the screw in the cap ring latch. Complete game-changing information.
Thanks for posting this video. I have had my machine for over a year and feel it's time to use it. Without being scared 🤪 Please post more video on the Em1010
Change your mind set. You will afford it if you any it. You don’t want it. Nothing wrong with not wanting one. If you wanted it you would work towards that goal and get it. There is nothing that you want that you can’t have. We breath the same air. You can do anything or get anything I can. Just gotta go after it.
It’s real. I been there. Not understanding how I could get certain things. Just work towards it. It’s really that simple. It’s not a clear path but if you work towards what you want the universe presents opportunity. That’s the only way I can explain it.
@@ellelatorre2893 I’m only telling the truth from my experience. You are most welcome. We all need a little encouragement from time to time. You as well as others encourage me so much so It’s only right I do the same. But I’m only stating facts. You really can do anything you want. All you gotta do is try. Obstacles move out of your way when they see you’re not stopping.
Thank you! I just purchased the 1501 TC - waiting on my live training. You're video really helped me get the hat hooped...as the tab was very tight. slightly adjusted tab, BAM! I appreciate your video. I will keeping this video close at hand.
Do you know how to embroider a icon onto the "frocket" of a t-shirt with a front pocket? I cannot think how to do this without stitching through to the next layer of cloth.
I love your videos!!! If you could do a video on how to embroider on the side of a cap on the EM-1010 (not the 1501). I would really appreciate it. I just don’t have the floor space for a larger machine. But I need to be able to embroider on the sides of caps. Thanks!
Great video thanks. My question I have is that every time i try to go Lower on hat towards brim the needle always breaks because it hits hoop on back side. Do I need to set my needle pressure at another number if so what is that setting?
The needle breaks because the material is thinker as it gets closer to the brim. The machine can not penetrate thicker material. You have to work within the machine’s threshold. If you need to pe at rate thicker areas it might be time for you to upgrade to a multi needle machine.
Thank you. Yes digitizing has a huge learning curve. When I fist started I would digitize the same file 5-6 times just to see how things turn out when I do certain things in the software. I’m glad I played around with the software a lot . It taught me a lot. Now I can digitize in 3 different softwares. Each have different looking interfaces and the buttons are located in different areas but ultimately are based on the same rules. Pretty cool stuff man.
@@adubbproductions I send it out I been using different companies and sometimes I don't what I would like to give to my customer but I I have to leave with it because I don't now how to do it yet. I seen different ones that you do and they all look great!
The only thing I don't like about the em1010 is how the brim of the hat rubs against the machine. What would you suggest to put on the brim to protect it from scrapping ?
Great Video thank you for sharing. Thumbs up wish you could of gotten a better shot when did the input on the screen panel for the area adjustment. Man can't wait to see the structured hat video will be sharing your video. Thanks Again
I when I was filming I was looking at the screen and not the camera . I will do a video again on it. Actually I have one. It’s on the my-1501 but the menus are exactly the same just situated in a different orientation. I’ll just make another video with that for you.
What starter machine? The em-1010? Ok think they are around 10k contact Ricoma and they will tell you. Here is my affiliate link. Ricaoma MACHINE Link ricoma.com/US/referral/allan-wade

Thanks for the video. I really struggled to get the hat hoop on the machine. It was really hard to snap on and then the bib of the hat was rubbing against the back of the machine also. After about 200 stitches the needle broke. You made this seem so easy but it wasn't for me, lol
Please keep doing videos on the em1010. I got more understanding and help from you than I do when I call customer service. Thanks for all you do
No problem. I will, thanks for watching.

I'll try it soon, wasn't brave enough until niw to do a hat 😃
When your machine is set up right and the tension is right you can embroider anything as long as it’s digitized right.

Came out great!....still afraid to try them with the cap hoop😬😅...Which needle did you use?
Do you use auto Digitize or do you do it yourself?
No. I don’t recommend ever using auto digitize. You will never get the great quality results you are looking for. Manual digitize only.
How do I get it thick
Increase the density in your digitizing software.
Where r you located
