Al, you are a great foreman. You give clear communication so that your helper knows what is going on and how to react. You watch out for your helpers' safety and for any mistakes that might be impending. I can tell that it's not just for video either. You truly are watching every move so everything goes smoothly. I would work with you any day! ❤🌅🌵

Another family video with all the family joining in. It was good to have some of the more distant family with you and good for everyone to see them all joining in. At least the weather is currently smiling on your efforts, I hope that the wood shed will get weather proof before a real change comes over the homestead.

You guys did a great great job today. I think the older boy really, really enjoyed himself! Nice picture on the tree. Can't wait to see how that goes. It reminds me that we have a chicken coop to build but thanks to you, we have ideas for a floor. Our chickens can't be free range so a safe, secure home that is nice is our goal. Happy homesteading!

Please let the boys know it was nice to see them in the videos and helping.so much. Tell Van Gogh his art was a great addition to the homestead. Till tomorrow Al, Gina and Olivia.

I will venture to say those boys were not working, they were having an adventure. They learned and worked all the while you made it fun for them. The wife is to be a helpmate and you Gina are a great fit for that role. Al the strength and determination of Gina means you better keep on the good side of this tough beautiful lady. Really you are a family that others can look up to as role models. Good Job!!!

OMG! Al I tried feeding my goats kelp but it was sooo expensive, then on today’s video I saw the name on the bag and looked up that company. Turns out the company that makes it are in Waldoboro Maine, 3 towns over from mine! Called them up and the price quoted to me was slightly more than 1 dollar a pound for a 50 lb bag. Hot Darn! Now my chickens and goats are going to get a regular diet of kelp. Thanks to your YT Channel!

I like the way that we constantly hear "I like it!" - you thank and compliment your helpers frequently. I like that these projects are a family project with everyone having useful, constructive jobs to do. They'll remember these projects when they are adults and it will be a good feeling. I realise that you actually NEED the help to build the projects but you are making it fun and worthwhile for the rest of the family too. I LIKE it !

Looking good . This is going to be a great build . A wooden floor would add a big cost to a shed that size . You can always lay strips of wood or free skids on the gravel floor to stack the fire wood later on if you wanted to . The boys were a big help . I'm sure they will have some nice memories of spending some time with your family . Like the way you are very careful with your wife making sure that she doesn't get hurt .

You could either get free pallets from somewhere or buy them or use all your leftover wood from the barn to make them. Pallets keep wood off the gravel floor and you can rotate your pallets to evenly dry them. Stack the firewood once on the pallet and because its off the ground you will get good cross ventilation and ease of moving the piles. As far as doors I know you said no wooden doors but maybe a tarp or 2 to keep out rain and snow. Love the videos no pigs or figuro today. They slept in as well I guess.

I've really enjoyed your videos! Brought back alot of good memories while growing up & coming with Dad for 1-2 weeks in the summer to see Uncle Ray down home on the farm. Wood sheds here were built into the ground with no floors.Summer is coming to an end, School started back here August 6th, 2019. Hoping for a warmer Winter, but...........Glad to see your nephews join in helping on the farm. I beleiuve you are their favorite Uncle! Very precious memories! Loved the picture in the tree! Neat!

Thank you Al for explaining your thinking on the vapor barrier. The whole time watching I was like, “ Why isn’t he putting it up on blocks. Now I understand your thinking. Plus the dirt work will make for a more ridged structure.
