There seems to be widely varying comments on exactly which map mode xcw's are shipped with from the factory. My experience with my '24 300 xcw after adding the map switch proved that my bike was programmed from the factory with the GREEN map active. I personally like the additional option of the softer white map in certain uphill wet rocky technical terrain.
The bike does not start with the green map stock. Check out Page 18 of the owners manual: If no combination switch is installed, the last selected mapping is activated. If a combination switch has never been mounted, the STANDARD mapping is activated. (Standard being the white map and "advanced" being the green map as per the owner's manual.) Hope this helps.

Could it be that the dealers are changing the map to green before delivery to the customer? Thanks for watching and commenting!

Is the head a higher compression head?
