    Dang It!!! I tried to resist getting this new pressure cooker with a temperature probe but your video has now caused me to push the “buy now” button. I want to be able to cook my proteins and lots more using the probe. It’s a game changer. I had a st paddy get together and cooked two corn beef. They weighed about a half a pound different butcher one of them came out perfectly and the other was underdone. So. No more of that. As always, thanks so much John. Hope you and yours are doing well. Life is good. And so are your videos.

    I initially purchased the one without the temp probe - saving money I thought. Went after a couple of months and purchased the one with the probe. You are so right !!! Love the magnet hack. Will be doing that tomorrow. Thank you.

      Well I tried it today and the meat turned out kinda "spongy" to me. I set it for 190 degrees as well. It was a little larger piece of meat though. That might have been the issue. Anyway, I broke it apart and put it in the fridge covered to see if it would "dry/firm" up some. I'll check tomorrow. Anyway, I'm still learning this thing! I have ALWAYS done my BBQ on my Smoker (that I bought thanks to you again and LOVE it!) Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow. I'll check after church and report back.

    Another great video, amazing how quick pulled pork came out. Takes 16hrs in my smoker. Though, I will not do a pork butt or a rack of ribs in a pressure cooker unless in a bind. Got to leave the fat cap on when smoking as it is part of the taste/oil when barked up and shredded. Use a bear claw for shredding. If you need to add smoke, Breville has a smoke infuser that does a great job than artificial smoke flavoring. Coleslaw missing. Your making me hungry.

    Hi John,
    I have my ninja pc with the built in thermometer now and love it. But I can’t find many videos showing foods that use the thermometer. So… can you give me an idea of how to do a corned beef under pressure. Like on low ? Or high? And for about how long and to what temp? And natural release? Love to see you do a few cuts of beef like eye of round or sirloin tip roasts. Anyway, thanks for listening and I’m excited to get started. I did a top round on 350’with the probe set to 115. It came out tough and overdone. Anyway thanks and I understand if you can’t get to this. Just thought I’d ask. 😁

    Hi John you said at the beginning of the video that it was the 14 in 1 but I understood the only one to have the probe is the 15 in 1 but I am in the uk so maybe it’s different in the United States. I have the 15 in 1 and I love it.

  • @tulipsmoran5197
    @tulipsmoran5197 2 года назад

    John, thanks for clearly describing the capabilities of this unit. I was on the fence for a long time when looking at the Foodi Grill - the deciding factor was the temp probe. So when I went for a sheet pan air fryer the Smart Dual teat Air Fryer w/sear plate and temp probe again was the critical deciding factor. I'm now looking at this pressure cooker mainly for the steam/crisp and steam/back functions and that temp probe is the reason I drop the money. I love all three and find they each have their niche. Ninja rocks with their constant innovation but with this unit I'll be at my max for a while. For those who own the LO701 - what would be the minimum height for the unit with the lid fully opened? Thanks.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  2 года назад +1

    It's surprising how many people don't go by the internal temperature of meat when cooking.
