Just got this smart steam foodi one today. Can’t deny I’m overwhelmed with all the options and no way to understand how I can guess times. It’ll come with practice
Thank you.. Such an informative and easy to follow video. I just got my ninja foodi delivered today and was a bit overwhelmed until I watched your video.
I got mine last month, my 5th Ninja appliance, it is now my 2nd favorite right behind the flip oven. That thermometer, and the delayed release feature, are amazing.
That is awesome! We LOVE those two features as well! We've never tried the flip oven, though we're super curious now that it has a thermometer probe! I want thermometers for everything now 😂
You don’t have to fight on the seal insertion. Just put a tiny bit of vegetable oil on the seal and push it lightly right into place under the wire seal holder. Easy Peezy!
I loved this video! So informative and entertaining. I bought one of the old Foodi OP300 models when they first came out back in 2018. I’ve loved using it virtually everyday, but I think it’s finally time to upgrade. With everything that I saw in your video, I can see that this will take things to a whole new level! I’m especially glad that the newer model looks so much easier to clean. That gets kind of tedious with the early models. I’ll definitely be ordering this one soon. Thanks again for the wonderful video. Y’all have a brand new subscriber. Have a great day!
That was very informative, and a fun watch. Thanks so much for takimg the time and going through the machine in such detail. We just got ours and used it to make chicken wings. The best wings I've had in a long time. Can't wait to use it for 3 tier cooking 😋 I'll be sure to like and subscribe to hopefully see more tasty recipes.
Thank you SO much for the kind comment! We're finishing out our how-to series over the next few weeks and then we'll be back to making recipes again! :)
Excellent video, I’m trying to learn how to use mine, I’ve never had an airfryer or pressure cooker before shuuu not even one of those little oven 😂 so I’m really starting from ZERO 😩 but this video was very informative, specially when you were giving samples like the pasta one etc. thank you sooo much 😍😍
U guys are so awesome! Mine arrived today! Super informative. Everything is less intimidating now, such a big piece of kit, didn't know where to start haha! Thankyou for the video :)
Santa got me the OL601 for Christmas, which does not have the thermometer, but it arrived just in time because my poor Instant Pot died on Christmas Eve. I’m sure I just wore the poor little beastie out, lol! It served me well. Anyway, does Ninja plan to offer a stainless steel pot? I really like the SS pots. For the short time that I’ve had the Ninja Foodi XL, I’ve been very impressed!
We love the stainless pots as well! Ninja doesn't currently have anything listed under the Parts & Accessories for the 601 or 701 models; however, none of the other Ninjas have an "official" stainless steel pot-just the "nanoceramic" version it comes with. So I'd imagine these Smart Lid models would be the same as well. I'll reach out to Ninja and see what I hear back. I love that Santa knew just what you needed!
I'm so glad the video helped you get comfortable using your Ninja! We don't have any planned right now. Is there a specific recipe you'd like to see us do?
My wife hates the way it looks but I love the way it works. It's like magic pressure cooking stuff like beef ribs and then crunching it up with the steamcrisp while keeping it moist. 25 minutes for perfect tender ribs is a miracle. If it could somehow smoke it would just be straight up a magic machine. The 6.5 is currently $110 otd at Kohls with their 20% off coupon.
The steam release valve does fit loosely. Do a water test www.pressurecookingtoday.com/instant-pot-water-test/ and you'll be able to easily tell the correct positioning. Venting to release pressure and Seal for pressure cooking.
I ended up with Nija Foodi OL601 because it was on Closeout Price. You sold me in the Nija Foodi. So are you going to add some more Videos for Nija Foodi instead of Instant Pot? You tow a great job!
Thanks! We typically cook in Instant Pots because that's the term people use to search for the recipes. However, all the recipes we make in the Instant Pot will also work in your Foodi. Have fun!

I cooked some brown rice, did a quick release before any delay, stirred in vegetables and put ground beef on the rack to broil. turned out really good just wish i hadnt added another cup of water after cooking the rice. spent a while babysitting and trying to figure out if theres a faster way to remove water than just saute with an open top
Great video, thank you. Please can you do some recipe videos for us using this machine? I’ve just bought mine and would be great to see how to cook well with it. Thanking you in advance.

Hi, I purchased this a few months ago mainly for the pressure cooking setting. I tried the pressure setting a few times and always gets the "no pressure" message. I add more liquid, and it still happens. So freaking frustrating!! I bought this to speed up the process and end up spending much more time trying over and over and end up cooking on the stove top. I'm about to throw this shit away. Why do you think this keeps happening. I usually have let's say: 1/4 to 1/3 with solids (meat, chicken, rice etc) the the rest liquid. Never more than 1/ 2 to 2/3 full total.. I'm I doing something wrong or is my machine defective. Or am I just stupid?
Make sure your gasket is installed and then do a water test. www.pressurecookingtoday.com/instant-pot-water-test/ If your pot will not come to pressure with just water in the pot, reach out to Ninja’s Customer Service at 1-800-365-0135.
I got my wife the Ninja Foodi deluxe for Christmas and we are having some difficulty getting it to pressurize, it takes forever and sometimes never gets pressurized., it has ruined many dinners. We have done the water test and it has worked fine. Every time we start using the pressure cooker my wife adds 1 cup of water and in no time it always tells us to add water again and again. We have the valve set for the seal position, but steam is always coming out, is that normal? Any help you can give us we would appreciate it.
Hi there, that's definitely not normal. Is the sealing ring pushed firmly into position? That's usually the culprit when steam is coming out the sides. It can come out the valve a little bit when it's coming to pressure, but that's usually for a short time and it comes all the way to pressure thereafter. Are you finding things burned onto the bottom of the pot when it tells you to add water? Are you following a specific recipe when you're trying to cook?
@@PressureCookingToday yes, some items are getting burnt on the bottom and it’s telling us to add more water, we are following the instructions to the tee.

I don't have room on my counter for my pressure cookers, so I have to lift them out of a low shelf. So yes, since the Instant Pot Pro is lighter it tends to be my go-to. However, if I'm looking for precision on roasts or other large cuts of meats, I go for the Ninja every time because of the thermometer.

I have searched their manuals and website and cannot find it. I'll reach out to customer service to see if they'll let me know. With their other models, High Pressure is around 11 or 12 psi. (Officially 11.6 psi, 80KPa)
@@PressureCookingToday Thanks for looking into it. I figured it was around 11 PSI, but was hoping maybe it could do 15, unlike other of the new sort of safety pressure cooker appliances.
Impatiently waiting for the shipping confirmation on mine. Would you please tell me how many inches it is across the inside bottom of the air fryer pot so that I can make sure I get the right sized paper incerts?
The recipes that came in the book are terrible for the XL. It feels like they didn't adjust them for the larger unit. It is constantly giving me 'No Pressure' alarms and the problem is always not enough liquid. I haven't figured out the ratio that the XL needs for the recipes in the manual, but I feel like it is double the liquid.
You're correct - mosts recipes are created for 6 quart pressure cookers and since this XL is an 8 quart, you will need to add more liquid. Generally you'll want 2 cups of liquid in your XL.
Same Chinese rubbish had for 2 years and afterwards started tripping house power. I tested the top spiral heater burned out. Tried to find part online or service company - not possible. Just dropped to bin. Really disappointed. Better to go back on classic oven and cooker than waste every 2 years £270

I have searched their manuals and website and cannot find it. I'll reach out to customer service to see if they'll let me know. With their other models, High Pressure is around 11 or 12 psi. (Officially 11.6 psi, 80KPa)

Thanks for looking into it.
Nah, too digital for me, still prefer preset buttons....
Same Chinese rubbish had for 2 years and afterwards started tripping house power. I tested the top spiral heater burned out. Tried to find part online or service company - not possible. Just dropped to bin. Really disappointed. Better to go back on classic oven and cooker than waste every 2 years £270
I have my phone volume all the way up high can barely hear you girls
Maybe Mom should do the review...the daughter needs to slow down, she's missing a number of features on the appliance.
Thanks for watching. I think we balance out each other well. Often she'll finish my sentences and vice versa.
@@PressureCookingToday That may be however, she's very difficult to follow.
I think she does great!
