I've said it 100 times before and I'll say it again... this channel gives me all the information I need on products to buy and terrific quick and easy ways to cook things with my Ninja appliances!
Every time you open that lid it lengthens the cooking time and drops temperature drastically.. That accounts for the slower cook time on the right side air fryer turkey breast.
Love the comparison and think I should go buy a turkey breast. We are going to the in-laws so we won't have any leftovers. This is a great idea. Thanks John and Baby Doll!
I just purchased the Ninja OL701 model this will be my first Ninja cooker I have used Instant Pot for over 5 years. Cannot wait to use it and try your awesome recipes. THANKS...for the great videos.
Happy Thanksgiving to Y’all, John! Thank you again for another excellent demonstration. I’m kind of shocked that the results were so similar. But to know that both methods yield a juicy bird is great to hear. I’ve never injected a turkey before so I do appreciate your method. I may have to look into that. 🤗 It’s always wonderful to hear your opinion, John. Ninja should acknowledge all of your efforts here. You’re so gracious to share your knowledge about their products and I know that I’ve purchased several things based on your sharing with us here. So a big thank you from Karen in VA 🍂🍁🥂
Thanks Karen...I was shocked at results also... maybe the Steam and crisp was a little more n moist as it would seem but not as much as I had expected...
Funniest thing you said... "I'm lost for words" Hahaha... Thanks for the video.. getting ready to use my smart Ninja on my turkey breast for thanksgiving..

Just got the 601. On sale and flex pay. I cook a lot of chicken and turkey. I love batch cooking and the 8 qt will help me. My old Ninja still has lots of life, buy I was having trouble with the two lid concept. Can’t wait to cook a whole chicken in it.
Welcome back I missed you and Baby Doll I'm very interested in this new Ninj but I can not upgrade right now. I love your video you always explain things so well Happy Thanksgiving
John you're the only channel I have seen with the thermometer version. You're the reason why I bought the Ninja Foodi XL smart grill. Now you're the reason why I bought the Ninja foodi Smart pressure cooker. It's coming Tuesday 😢 lol
I am looking to get a multi cooker and could use some recommendations. I have 6 people in my household and own a 12qt stovetop pressure cooker. I’m stuck between Instant Pot Pro Crisp + Air Fryer 8-qt vs Ninja® Foodi® 14-in-1 8-qt. SMART XL Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid™ & Built-In Thermometer. Out of the two, which one do you think performs better than the other? I like that the Ninja Foodi is a 1 lid unit, but I don’t like the thought of accidentally burning myself from the steam or breaking off the lid when disassembling it for cleaning. Hopefully they will make it removable in the next model. I would like to see Instant Pot come up with their own multipurpose lid in 2022. My family likes to have seconds/leftovers so the 8qt might not be enough stepping down from a 12qt. I might end up buying 2 inner pots to make up for it. I know Instant Pot has a model with 10qt, but I really like how the Pro series of Pots look compared to the Duo Nova. Anyways, I’m already making a compromise stepping down from a 12qt to 8qt, I might do the same with having 1 lid vs 2 lids. In the end it’s all about the best bang for the buck when it comes to features and functionality. Unless Instant Pot has the same, I think the Steam/Crisp and Steam/Bake features might give Ninja a point in their favor. I’d love to see you put the two products mentioned up against each other in a video.
Another great video, John! I was about to drive an hour to go pick one of these up when I remembered a video you did last year that involved initially steaming and then crisping in one of the older Ninja Foodis. Would you be willing to do another video to compare that process with this auto steam and crisp one? Is it even possible to control the steaming time with this new model? We definitely appreciate you and all the wonderful information you provide and are so happy you’re back!
Jelly007, steamed&crisped, not baked! Thanks for another great video. But John, which one is better? ;P I want to share a good tip, you can fry those neck bones up, then make a quick stock, and turn that stock into a sauce.
John welcome back. I really enjoy watching your channel. I like how you give if your honest opinion and show the upside and downside. When you say never frozen mean they are thawed or they were never in the freezer ever?
I just bought the one without the thermometer. They were $225 vs $296 on black friday. I figure I can buy a wireless one later, and not worried about the integration part. Oh and free cookware for it too if you got the $229 one, so figure $35 more off the normal price.
Sorry off subject, but a quick question do you like your breville smart oven or the ninja smart oven, and why. I'm hoping to get on sale for black Friday, im looking for the most spa c e inside and ho w hard to cleans, price of course. But since I value your opinions which one would you prefer thanks
Hi John! I have the Ninja DT251 Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven and have loved every video you've done on it, thank you. After watching this video, should I be cooking a turkey breast using the air fry setting or the whole roast setting? I've been using the whole roast setting along with the included smart thermometer. I hope you don't mind my interjecting a question about a different oven/fryer than is depicted in this video but seeing you air fry a breast got me wondering.
Yeah, that 157 was good enough you don’t understand even after you take it out it’s gonna cook for a few minutes longer so it’ll come up to 165 if not higher by the time you take it out of that fryer and it’s gonna cook even quicker that you close the lid so it’s gonna keep cooking even more because of all that temperature in there so you can technically overcook it
Forgive me for such a novice question... With what and how did you inject your turkey breasts? That is the only area not covered and since you thought that was key to making your turkey very good the following day, I don't want to miss this step! Thank you for your time!
There's an ejecter that comes with the injecteable butter sauce, you can buy them in your grocery store, or you can purchase a food injector. Hope this helps.
Another awesome video from my favorite RUclipsr!😁 Can you do a video of Cosori's new indoor grill sometime? It's similar to the one that you have from Ninja and one of the differences is that you can control it over Wi-Fi from your phone or tablet with an app called VeSync. Also, have you heard of the singer Adele? I enjoy listening to her music while I use my air fryer 😁 She's got great music and recently came out with a new album and the songs are amazing!😀
Hi John , I have just discovered your channel! We have received this lovely item as a wedding present , and very excited about unwrapping it . What I would like to ask you is , the sound it makes . Does the noice too high ? On few other videos ( on different channels) it sounded so high ,almost like a hairdryer being on for like 30 40 minutes. I am not sure if that had anything to do with their microphone whilst recording . 🤔 thank you. Lots of cuddles from Newcastle/England
