Every time you open that lid it lengthens the cooking time and drops temperature drastically.. That accounts for the slower cook time on the right side air fryer turkey breast.

    Happy Thanksgiving to Y’all, John!
Thank you again for another excellent demonstration.
I’m kind of shocked that the results were so similar.
But to know that both methods yield a juicy bird
    is great to hear.
I’ve never injected a turkey before so I do appreciate
your method. I may have to look into that. 🤗
It’s always wonderful to hear your opinion, John.
Ninja should acknowledge all of your efforts here.
You’re so gracious to share your knowledge about
their products and I know that I’ve purchased

I was about to drive an hour to go pick one of these up when I remembered a video you did last year that involved initially steaming and then crisping in one of the older Ninja Foodis. Would you be willing to do another video to compare that process with this auto steam and crisp one? Is it even possible to control the steaming time with this new model? We definitely appreciate you and all the wonderful information you provide and are so happy you’re back!

I am looking to get a multi cooker and could use some recommendations. I have 6 people in my household and own a 12qt stovetop pressure cooker. I’m stuck between Instant Pot Pro Crisp + Air Fryer 8-qt vs Ninja® Foodi® 14-in-1 8-qt. SMART XL Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid™ & Built-In Thermometer. Out of the two, which one do you think performs better than the other?
I like that the Ninja Foodi is a 1 lid unit, but I don’t like the thought of accidentally burning myself from the steam or breaking off the lid when disassembling it for cleaning. Hopefully they will make it removable in the next model. I would like to see Instant Pot come up with their own multipurpose lid in 2022.
My family likes to have seconds/leftovers so the 8qt might not be enough stepping down from a 12qt. I might end up buying 2 inner pots to make up for it. I know Instant Pot has a model with 10qt, but I really like how the Pro series of Pots look compared to the Duo Nova.
Anyways, I’m already making a compromise stepping down from a 12qt to 8qt, I might do the same with having 1 lid vs 2 lids. In the end it’s all about the best bang for the buck when it comes to features and functionality. Unless Instant Pot has the same, I think the Steam/Crisp and Steam/Bake features might give Ninja a point in their favor.
I’d love to see you put the two products mentioned up against each other in a video.

  • @Paul-ng4jx

Yeah, that 157 was good enough you don’t understand even after you take it out it’s gonna cook for a few minutes longer so it’ll come up to 165 if not higher by the time you take it out of that fryer and it’s gonna cook even quicker that you close the lid so it’s gonna keep cooking even more because of all that temperature in there so you can technically overcook it
