Actually no I knew this since I was 15 so since 2013 a freien told me back then but I don’t like how the face has this orange undertone after so i don’t do it guess I will always have this problem
Just bought mac so chaud lipstick yesterday and tried it with my concealer and it worked. Thanks so much for this trick now I finally got rid of those awful dark circles.
Tried this out today and it worked! Makeup artist friends have recommended an orange corrector to me in the past, but this was a much better idea. I was a little concerned about using a liquid concealer over the lipstick, thinking the two would just form a paste and move around, especially if I used my fingers instead of a sponge, which is what happened the first time I tried. But the second time I blotted the lipstick a little with the tissue before applying concealer and it worked fine! Very pleased with the results! Thanks for sharing this amazing tip! :)
Have had dark circles for years! I tried this tip this morning (thank you Buzzfeed) and it was incredible!!! I have never had my circles gone- so this is what my face is supposed to look like! Thank you again!! Brilliant!!
Thank you so much Deepica!! You're amazing!! I really glad I found your channel! And finally someone who has a skin tone close to mine! I've really been struggling to find makeup products that work for me. All your videos have been a great help to me! You're so gorgeous! Keep rocking! xx
This is a cool video, I think it would be cool to see you do this one one eye, and leave the other not done, so that we can see the amazing difference.
What an awesome tutorial on masking dark circles underneath your eyes and dark blemishes too! I hope this will work for my dark elbows and knees! Thanks for showing us these affordable DIY tips! 😆
This is so brilliant, the strong color before the concealer. What I will suggest is in future, discuss alternative brands, colors and you should be specific about showing and explaining the application/blending tools. I'm an old man, part Indian, and inherited wicked ugly black patches under my eyes. Your video jazzed me up with hope! I was using two separate foundations to hide the black and I still looked like a zombie. BTW you're gorgeous. Thanks!
I had very dark circles that appeared at 3 years old and never went away. I did something close to what Ms. Deepica Mutyala does with green or blue eye shadow since I have a more olive skin tone and the red didn't work so well. My 3 children who are mixed white/black also have had the same problem. A doctor recently told me it was an allergic reaction to food or my environment. I went to an allergist to find out what was bothering each of my family members and removed those things from our lives. We started to take medicine for seasonal allergies as well... and they went away. I almost never wear full makeup anymore. I have given up foundation for the most part. But the best part is that I feel better as well.
Love this video! I have spent so much money on under eye concealer. I tried this trick and it works so well! Thank you so much! You are freaking gorgeous!
THIS! I have really dark circles that I think are due to genetics or something so they're ALWAYS there whether I use concealer on them or not. The coverage you got was amazing and I'm definitely going to try this next time I do my make up 😊 life saver
Hi Deepica, First I just wanted to say that I think your face looks lovely without any make-up, it just looks naturally pretty, perhaps even prettier than when you do put make-up on!! Also I wanted to ask if you have a tip for a girl who's make-up always disappears after an hour? I tried so many things but the circles just keep coming back and the concealers and foundations just keep rubbing off.
***** Hi! thanks for your reply :D And you're right, I should start using the setting spray! Well I'm trying out 'Max FactorX face finity all day primer' and use Black Opal's foundation stick. Though I always get the foundation lines in my little creases under the eyes and my face gets light quite fast, so I don't know what to use anymore :( I think Black Opal might be too greasy perhaps? I'm just looking for something that looks natural and that sits on your skin for at least a couple of hours.
***** I tested out your theory and was hesitant at first but ooh chili! that results were amazing! Like I saw how it worked good on you but I have tried everything under the sun for these dark circles but for the first time ever!Like they were legit gone! Not hidden for a few hours that they peep through but gone gone gone! I love you for sharing this amazing tip! Thank You!!!
OMG!!!! I tried it and the results are astounding! I'm a dark skinned black woman with hereditary dark circles. I've tried everything to conceal them but nothing worked as completely as this hack has. Thank you so much!
I've always thought dark circles look kind of pretty and make eyes look bigger, but maybe I'm weird... Agree you look pretty in both the before and after:)
I've been battling with these dark circles for as long as I can remember. Thank you so much for sharing this inexpensive method. I have tried it and love the result. Thank you thank you. 👍
Hi Deepica, Thank you so much for your video and I tested it out and it works amazingly! :) Just wanted to ask what is the lipstick you are wearing on your lips in this video? It just a lovely colour I want to try it out :D Thanks in advance
I saw your video on an Aunty Acid post. That is an awesome trick. I cannot wait to try it out. I am fair skinned so thank you for replying below regarding using a peach for fair skin. Do you have any tricks for raccoon eyes from eyeliner on the waterline and below? I have scoured the internet and found some tricks. I have tried to use concealer before and press powdered afterwards. Also using a similar eyeshadow on top of it. I still manage to get raccoon eyes. My face gets oilier in the summer time so I bypassed my normal tinted moisterizer routine and just my powder. I also use waterproof eyeliner 😦. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Btw, love the video I will definitely subscribe!!!
Saw you on Style Code live and searched for you on here. Very impressed with your talent and suggestions. We have similar skin tones super happy to be following you.
Thank you so much for the idea. It's fantastic! I hv dark circles n hv tried variety types of concealer yet it still doesn't conceal well. Definitely gonna try soon!
Awesome video! It took the dark circles away. I have the same dark circles and skin like yours but I am not sure which concealer to buy. Should i go for solid, cream, or liquid? Whats the best for oily skin? Could you recommend something inexpensive, maybe under $10 or $15?
Excellent! I have seen this demonstrated before at the make-up counter, but this video is very helpful because I can follow it step by step. It's important for those of us who have age spots and issues. Thank you!
Your videos are so great! Being adopted into a Caucasian family it was hard to ask for help with makeup because no one knew what was best for my skin tone.. a lot of trial and error :) Do you have any suggestions for what's best for applying makeup? (brushes, sponges, etc). Thanks for breaking barriers girl!
i personally love using beauty blender because it gives me that flawless look. Beauty blender comes in with different sizes for your face make up like foundation, primer etc. they also have the micro beauty which I use to blend concealer under my eye. I suggest that you should try to put on your make up on the other side using a sponge/beauty blender and on the other side of your face try to use make up brush. in that way you will know which one works better on your skin. xx
Hi Deepica, I was so pleased to find your tutorial. I don't wear concealer at all or do I really want to. Do you think this could work without concealer?
Wow! Thanks so much! I have pale skin in the winter but tan very easily in the summer! Do you recommend coral for the winter and red for the summer? I tried this and it really does work! Xoxo
her under eyes aren't that bad though! Mine are more sunken in and way darker.. I doubt it'll cover it up like this for me :/ but I will definitely try it
Sure would've been nice if you had of done your makeup with one eye using the lipstick, and the other without, so that we could really see if the lipstick had made a difference, and by how much. Maybe next time? :)
Definatly going to try this! I'm about to turn 43, but I'm always getting compliments saying that I look like I'm still in my 20's. Nice to hear when I have 5 kids. But I'm being told often by those who see me all the time that I look tired. Genetics have unfortunately blessed me with young skin but dark circles. I'll be sure to send a before/after photo!
dark away dark circles cream may do what it is intended. I have used it for a couple of months and don't see much in the way of reducing the dark circles under my eyes, not the bags that appear there So it is an immediate fix as with this cream.
+Jabeen Khan The darkaway dark circles cream treatments really help with dark circles. These eye cream are not only comfortable but also relaxing. They feel very refreshing.
+Jabeen Khan same problem from my side iam using different types of brands for my eye circles from couple of months they are worth less ....waste of money and time..... plz suggest best cream .
I really like the direction you chose to keep your phone for the video. Less distraction. It's completely focused on you and what you're trying to show. Not a make-up fan unless it's all natural though. No scents, no chemicals, etc.
spot on! I soo needed this! thanks a lot for sharing Deepica..I am NC 42 in MAC as well..I have NYX orange corrector that I apply but even with that orange my under eye circles peaked through with concealer on top of course..can you give us some other specific options of orange-red lipsticks please? thanks again..
I am so glad I came across this video! Works miracles! Need to try it again with less lipstick (I think I over did it). But it's unbelievably awesome! Thanks!
Lots of misinformation going on here. For light skin, use a PEACH corrector. Coral will not do anything. For medium skin, use a peachy orange color. For dark skin, use orange, not red. The opposite of red is green...so unless you have green under eyes, don't use red. You also want to use something that is close to your skin tone, not something that is bright. Using the right color means no need for concealer most of the time. Proper placement with the right color is everything, so not the right application color or technique demonstrated in this video. The color should be place only where needed. You had to apply so much concealer afterwards, which tells me that the color was incorrect in the first place.
***** There are a ton of different skin tones, so I wouldn't say "lots of misinformation", rather simply some helpful info for some complexions. Of course there's shades that will work better for others and not so well for some. This is very interesting information either way, and I for one am excited to see your next videos. (Tiny suggestion, try looking into the lens like you're talking to the audience. ♥)
The whole point of color correcting is so that you don't have to use a lot of concealer. In this video, she had to use a lot of concealer to cover the dark circles which defeats the purpose of correcting. If you want to learn how to properly correct, watch any of Jordan Liberty's videos.
I have really really bad dark circles under my eyes with the same olive toned skin complexion as Deepika. For years makeup artists have told me to wear orange toned correctors, and "small amounts" which has done absolutely nothing for me, in fact, making me look worse . I was really shocked to see that the red/orange lipstick did neutralize the purplish tones under my eyes so perfectly. I am sure that if I had the "right technique" with an orange base corrector, it would work, but sadly I'm not a professional, and this does trick in less time (and frustration) and great coverage. I know that this technique has worked for many other skin tones as well. I feel like when it comes to correcting with makeup, its so hard to match our eye shape, skin type, pigment and complexion to the likes of others, and so, people tend to find what works for them. This video is the holy grail for me and my long time desperation to cover my dark circles. Thank you so much *****!
This is definitely something new for me, thank you for that. And you looked amazing in the video. :) I just have one question, I for example have fairly light skin, and my under eye circles are blue'ish, which color should I use to neutralize the blue tone?
Loved your video!! I to deal with still be able to see the dark circles under my eyes even after concealer.. Would the same color work with a darker skin tone? Or what color would you recommend me using?
Great video! I'm just curious about applying the rest of your makeup. If I use primer and liquid foundation, would I use those before or after I use your method?
@deepica Do you apply this technique before or after BB CREAM application? I typically apply moisturizer, primer, BB cream, concealer. Thanks for tutorial. Great video!
there is a reason why ur video has 1 Crore views. Because u have made a fantastic tutorial on how to apply concealer with red. lipstick. Thanks a lottt. it helps a lottt
That is the best trick I've seen to cover dark circles. I love it! What advice would have somewhat oily skin. I feel like my makeup doesn't last on cause of it. I've used a mattifying primer and by 10:00am I'm plotting out the oils off my face.
Hadda Acevedo Hi Hadda, I have the oilest skin ever!!! I love to hate summer and I live in a climate where it doesn't get that cold and really does not have the 4 seasons..I hate the cold! When I wake up it's like I have put vaseline all over my face...In the summer I cannot wear makeup! There is no mattifyer that can control the oil! Doctors have just said be glad you will stay preserved and won't get wrinkles! It is truly annoying! I am always dabbing my face with blotters or tissue! Nothing works! All you can do is apply and give yourself a Facial mask every other day to control the oil and stop the white/black heads around your nose area this will help stop the blockage and bacteria buildup so you have less breakouts. You must also use a great cleanser in the morning and at night. The more blockage and bacteria inside the pores, the more oil and breakouts you will have. That's the only way I can control mine, this seems to work! So I am not spending loads of money on products that just is not going to work!
Amazing video! What foundation do you use in this video? And in what shade/color? My skin color is close to you and I'm looking for a really good foundation!
I really like this video. I have a really similar skin to yours. I think this is the best video I have watched to mask your dark circles and spots. All of the others didn't help or they were complicating. You used products that I know. Thank you for that !
This video is sooo great! I;m definitely going to try this. One question is, i have a lighter olive skin tone then you, is the red orange still ok to use or should i go for a more subdued peachy color?
Hi … Just came across your video for the first time and so glad I did. Because I have the same issues under eye horrible dark circles. Very useful video. Thanks quick question when you’re applying the foundation do you recommend wetting the beauty blender with water or no? Because they’re are some makeup artist highly recommend and than others who don’t :/
I have so many blemishes and dark spots and it's a constant struggle. Even if I see makeup tutorials to correct them i'm unsure if it will work for me. When you said your shade in your mac concealer was nc 42 I got so happy. That's my shade too so I can't wait to try this out! Great video also.
Btw this video has gone viral. I saw it on my facebook titled "this girl dabbed red lipstick on her eyes, click here to find out why" I never would've thought using red lipstick on my under eyes would help. It's like a primer specifically for blemish areas. This is amazing
I found this video so long ago and i actually used this technique for a while when I used to wear make up for often. It really does work it brightened up my skin and evened everything out.
You started this whole color correcting revolution yet you only have 82K subscribers :( you deserve to be more popular

You're so GORGEOUS without makeup.
thankkkss
This is CRAZY!!! I absolutely love it, never in a 1,000,000 years would i have thought of red lipstick as a corrector. Great video!

Me!! October 2019 :)
Yes, totally inspired by her 2019 accomplishments!!

Love this video! I have spent so much money on under eye concealer. I tried this trick and it works so well! Thank you so much! You are freaking gorgeous!
finally found someone with the same problem I have and doesn't use that much product like in most videos. completely loved this 👌

I'm curious.. have you tried this tip yet?
@@FataLenora Did she try?
This helped so much, I'm bengali and my under eyes are so dark!! they can never be disguised! will try this method
If you are contouring, when do you apply the red lipstick under the eyes? Love all your tips and how relaxed you are. You make it seem effortless!
Oh my gosh, this video was so helpful. I have terrible eyebags, but I finally found a way to cover them up thanks to you.
Hi Deepica,
First I just wanted to say that I think your face looks lovely without any make-up, it just looks naturally pretty, perhaps even prettier than when you do put make-up on!!
Also I wanted to ask if you have a tip for a girl who's make-up always disappears after an hour? I tried so many things but the circles just keep coming back and the concealers and foundations just keep rubbing off.

Hi! thanks for your reply :D And you're right, I should start using the setting spray!
***** A good setting mist is Model in a Bottle.
You don't have to use lipstick, as it can be a little harsh. For an affordable color corrector, L.A Girl is a great brand!
No dude it's not weird. even I think they make eyes look naturally big lol.
I think that too..if i put concealer,i look really wierd
I've been battling with these dark circles for as long as I can remember. Thank you so much for sharing this inexpensive method. I have tried it and love the result. Thank you thank you. 👍
i wish she did one with and one without
Hi Deepica,
Thank you so much for your video and I tested it out and it works amazingly! :) Just wanted to ask what is the lipstick you are wearing on your lips in this video? It just a lovely colour I want to try it out :D Thanks in advance
I wanted to know this too
Zendaya sent me here 😘😍👑💯❤ great job
Me too :-)
This is amazing!
Have eye circles for many years, no one can save it.
But your little trick did work on me!
Thank you sosososo much!
What a wonderful attitude
thank youuu
Wow! Thanks so much! I have pale skin in the winter but tan very easily in the summer! Do you recommend coral for the winter and red for the summer? I tried this and it really does work! Xoxo
peach/orange eyeshadow works too as a corrector ^.^ (depending on skin tone)
Thank you for sharing your technique! Would you mind sharing the brand/shade of lipstick you applied to your lips? It's a beautiful color!
hey ! would be great if you could recommend what MAC shade would work
best on fair- pale skin? thanks! :-)
Interesting tip. I shall try it because I too have dark circles that continue to show through all other products that I have used. Thanks for sharing!
ahhhh we have the same skin tone! This makes my life so much easier....haha
Thank you so much for explaining in a clear way and also for making it easy to understand, for even beginner. New sub!!

Really good video....thank you...I'm super pale white so I am going to check out other ways to use this technique...you are a very good presenter!
Sure would've been nice if you had of done your makeup with one eye using the lipstick, and the other without, so that we could really see if the lipstick had made a difference, and by how much. Maybe next time? :)
Great, informative video. Thank you, Deepica. Can you show us how you use the neutralizer wheel? Do you use other shades from it for your skintone?
I have very white, fair skin and dark purple circles under my eyes. What lipstick colour would work better for me? Or would red work as well?
Zoe J. Tuinman try a lighter orange or peach shade... i hope that will cancel out the darkness :)
***** Uh, I do :P Sometimes even more than that. That's not the issue.

I feel like when it comes to correcting with makeup, its so hard to match our eye shape, skin type, pigment and complexion to the likes of others, and so, people tend to find what works for them. This video is the holy grail for me and my long time desperation to cover my dark circles. Thank you so much *****!
Dang! That is so cool! What color would you use for fair skin? How would I go about concealing dark acne scars and zits?
vertical video? really?
Yet she still has a 100 times more views than you
Hi! Great video. What kind of brush do you recommend to blend the concealer. Thanks for the tips. I'm still learning how to make it work for me.
You have the most perfect eyebrows I have ever seen!!!! And also I love the shape of your eyes!! You know you are very beautiful without make up...
This is amazing! Are there any drugstore orange-red lipsticks you would recommend?
Hi!! I'm from Brazil and loved this tip! The difference is amazing!! Thank you!
This is definitely something new for me, thank you for that. And you looked amazing in the video. :) I just have one question, I for example have fairly light skin, and my under eye circles are blue'ish, which color should I use to neutralize the blue tone?
I think an orange?
omg the red lipstick masks it completely!! im blown away!!!
Loved your video!! I to deal with still be able to see the dark circles under my eyes even after concealer.. Would the same color work with a darker skin tone? Or what color would you recommend me using?
Very informative. Will try now. I love what it did to your eyes. You look 5 years younger
I love this, been doing it for about a week and I love the way it covers. Thank you
yay!
I really like this video. I have a really similar skin to yours. I think this is the best video I have watched to mask your dark circles and spots. All of the others didn't help or they were complicating. You used products that I know. Thank you for that !
I'm going to try this! Saw it on the Today Show! You and I are almost the same exact tone so I want to see if it works. I'll let you know!
Thanks a lot for this tip. For women who wear specs to work, and have constant dark circles - this vid is a saviour!
This video is sooo great! I;m definitely going to try this. One question is, i have a lighter olive skin tone then you, is the red orange still ok to use or should i go for a more subdued peachy color?
I wish I had your beautiful eyes! Thanks for the tip :) I am assuming the shade of lipstick will depend on the skin tone?
My dark circles mainly from no sleep with my son i found this worked so well and suprisingly doesnt feel like ive caked it on! Thank you!
Hi Deepica, this video is great and so informative! I'm curious, have you ever tried NeriumAD?
I have so many blemishes and dark spots and it's a constant struggle. Even if I see makeup tutorials to correct them i'm unsure if it will work for me. When you said your shade in your mac concealer was nc 42 I got so happy. That's my shade too so I can't wait to try this out! Great video also.
Btw this video has gone viral. I saw it on my facebook titled "this girl dabbed red lipstick on her eyes, click here to find out why"
I never would've thought using red lipstick on my under eyes would help. It's like a primer specifically for blemish areas. This is amazing
Lovely video. I was wondering what lip colour you are wearing on your lips? It is FAB!!
awesome. ..i use the nyx orange concealer..we have similar skin tones...have you tried nyx?
I found this video so long ago and i actually used this technique for a while when I used to wear make up for often. It really does work it brightened up my skin and evened everything out.
