I would love if you made this a series!! I love this video it self, I'm always looking for stuff that looks good on us brown chicks!! 😍😍Ive been wanting to find a lip color that I could wear but looks like I don't have anything cause I have this annoying discoloration!! Also try the Tarte Fiesty blush, I absolutely love it for my skin color, it's a nice subtle pop of color for daily makeup! :))
I am Mexican and brown and have always been mistaken for being middle eastern by both whites and middle eastern ppl and I love this video. Thank you so much!!
Hey Deepica, something about out strikes out to be so genuine and friendly enough for beginners to actually look out till the end of the video .You are a rock star breaking the stereotypes for a brown gal ! and actually feels weird but its like a comforting talk with every video showcasing tiny bits rather than a just another style jam video ......proud of you # tinted !
I just started getting into makeup ( bc quarantine) and ive always struggled finding brown MUAs for makeup reviews and OMG WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME!!!!! i love the way youre so honest about the struggles us brown girls have in the makeup world omg. Brb gonna binge watch the rest of your videos
First time watching you and subscribed!! Girls have been complaining about make up brands not including enough products for dark skin tones, but actually the medium skinned girls have this problem as well; and I’m loving the fact that you’re addressing it. I’ll be looking forward to see more content like this, you are a life saver!! And I looove how you don’t overdo makeup ‘cause that’s my personal preference as well. Wish you the best! 🙏🏽
That lip color is everything! You should definitely make this a series! My brown-girl must have is the LA girl corrector in orange, the NYX one is pretty good too! A little wish-woosh and your dark circles are gonesies! Must try for all the brown girls IMO!!
You should definitely turn the idea of this video into a playlist! I’m not as dark as you, I’m medium skin tone (slightly darker than medium), but watching most RUclipsrs (who are much whiter than me) is hard to know what the products they’re talking about are going to look like on me. Specially when they do tutorials, most colors they use in eyeshadows look totally different on my skin tone. I just found your channel and I already subscribed! I really liked your personality. If I may give you a suggestion, if you talked slower you’d reach a broader public. I have a couple of girlfriends that you’d love your channel, but I know they wouldn’t be able to follow what you’re saying bc you speak too fast for them, as English is not their first language. I’m so gonna binge watch your videos this weekend!! 😁❤️
You can adjust the speed of the video slower so it's easier to understand if you want, you just gotta click the "HD settings" icon and change the speed from normal to .75 or .5
I discovered you and your channel from Ami Desai’s channel. This is the first video I’ve seen of yours solo...and I am dying! Where have you been all my life?!?! I too, am a brown gal from India, but was adopted as a baby. My parents are white, and my moms a tomboy to boot. It’s taken 40 years to have representation, and respect given to the brown girl community...and we still have a long way to go. I applaud you and Ami...you gals feel like long life friends that my soul has surely missed. Respect from Seattle 💛
Yasss! Would LOVE to see this topic as a series! I think my favorite brown girl friendly product is the Lancôme Sourcils Tint eyebrow pen. I have pretty full brows, but I really like using the pen to fill them in a bit more and make them pop, and the deep brown blends in really well with my (very) hairy dark brows haha.
The pixie itsjudytime eyeshadow palette is a super basic palette that works well for my dark skin. Also L’Oréal’s Zoe’s Red lipstick is a gorgeous berry red.
the blush 'fever' by mac looks gorgeous on me! i'm nc45 + mufe velvet+ in 77 mixed together. I swipe that on the apples of my cheeks and my eyelids and really lightly on the tip of my nose area in the winter and it looks really, really warm. In the summer I go with 'gingerly' blush by mac on my cheeks and lids for an earthier warmth. toofaced coco powder foundation in deep tan is my go to. I stopped wearing liquid foundation and just owned my blemished skin (and to be honest, I look a lot better without the liquid foundation), but the toofaced powder soaks up my oil and is super light. And it smells like chocolate, so win-win! also, tbh, the hangover rx primer by toofaced ( i think!) is life. It has coconut water in it and it just feels lovely.
I put in a search for brown girls eye shadow and no channel showed up. Love all of your makeup. I’m black; with Native American ancestry. Love your makeup and how you keep it simple.
Im a nc42 in mac and i love ur videos i wish you would do a video with alot of foundation options which would be good for indian skin tone .... also i love the idea of a brown girl series on your channel since alot of brands arent as inclusive
Not make up, BUT skincare wise you should definitely incorporate rosehip oil into your routine. As a brown girl, I get random hyperpigmentation on my face. Applying this oil at night has seriously reduced those unsightly spots, and now I don’t feel the need to cover it up with makeup! X
Hi Sunjum! I noticed you're interested in brown girls on YT. I'll be doing lots of beauty, haircare and skincare vids on my channel and would love if you checked it out!
Yesss make a series ! Omg thanks for this!! Being brown is a stuggle with makeup up becasue of pigmentation, this helped a lot ! I'm a new subie as well! Glad I found you!
My must have product for brown girls is Becca’s Champagne Pop highlighter! I find it so flattering on all brown skin tones and it’s a MUST for bridal looks too!!!
Fantastic review. I am going to be getting the Naked Heat Palette for my birthday this month, cannot wait. Deepica you look gorgeous. Can you please do a tutorial on how you styled your hair in this video. It's so beautiful and looks effortless. THanks
I love Nars Almeria blush! It's buildable, but I love the amount of pinkness it gives. I don't like the orgasm by MAC either, it don't hink it compliments my skin, it's too much sparkle. I also love Maui by Nars in the multiple stick. I've been a big fan of IT cosmetics the cc cream as well as the concealer. A little goes forever! NYX finishing powder I use to help set or clear up my oil. I sometimes use it on my lashes to help build so my mascara goes on smoother and more defined. My favorite mascara has been great lash by Maybeline. I like the one with the little bristles. And my most recent find has been Becca cosmetics Lush lip color balm in cherry ganache. It's subtle, but can be built to be bold. I think it's flattering on all skin tones, especially the deep sisters :)
OH. MY. GOD. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN RELATE TO MY SKIN TONE AND HELP ME FIND PRODUCTS I LOVE YOU. And I know we're similar because I have a few of the products you mentioned that I also love. I know nothing about make-up and being brown makes it harder for me to find stuff that works. THANK YOU
Hi Deepica, I totally follow your videos and like them all...can you tell me a day cream and setting powder that suits best for dusky skin.Thank you...
Girl, you have just made the past 2 hours of procrastination worth it 😅 I don't know of many girls on here close to my colour, doing makeup tutorials, you're honestly a god sent! I've been scouring the internet for foundation and eye shadow palette recs for ages. Please make a series, if you haven't already!! ❤️❤️❤️
Finally! Thank you for listing other brown youtubers because it’s so hard for me to find tutorials that I can follow. And I would love it if you made a series!! So excited!!!
I use the mac foundation and blush products ALL THE TIME! My mom used to be obsessed with their products and now I am too. It looks great on my skin-tone, and i can't say that about a lot of products
My fav brown girl products are the hourglass bronzer sits so pretty you need to try it! Swatches do not help I swear! At first I thought the shade wouldn't even show up on my skin tone but I was wrong!
You should definitely make this into a series! I have a lot of trouble finding foundation that fits my skin color along with concealer and it’s all so expensive 😩
ive noticed Mac is great for brown girls! Mac Sunbasque blush is a great color too! I am loyal to mac foundation and use the tarte shape tape for concealer
Great video!! I recommend LA girl and wet n wild for blush! I have a couple from the drugstore and they are pigmented and show up on my skin and my skin is a little darker than yours.
My fav product of the year so far has to be the fenty foundation! Highlight of 2018 so far is probably getting to spend more time with friends and fam. P.S. I love your monthly fav videos and especially this one! Getting to see products that work for my skin tone helps SO much! Keep doing great things Deepica!!
I've been looking for blushes, and honestly Mac is the one with the best shade range for brown girls and people don't mention it enough!! Also Wet N Wild Mellow Wine blush is literal perfection on our skin tones!!
Love this, love that you’re all about supporting other brown youtubers, love you! Definitely interested in more videos like this, especially ones that might focus on concealing dark spots on the cheek area! Also, if you’re looking for another lakme-esque liquid eyeliner, check out Nyx (they go for like $7!)
Can I just say that your skin looks amazing in this look? Like wow. Also thanks so much for this vid to spread love for melanin, and really glad that u included both high-end and drug-store brands.💜
Thank you so much for this. Honestly as a brown girl it's so hard to find makeup that I like and actually pops on my skin so thank you for all the recommendations. So glad I stumbled across your channel.
Definitely found this helpful. I'm also NC42 and my makeup journey has been looong precisely because it's difficult to find products that actually show up, especially brown toned ones. For blush I love Benefit's Rockateur. It gives a glowy healthy look tho my cheeks in a subtle classic way.
Personally love the Colorpop blushes. I have Parakeet. And you can do a soft wash of color or go for a heavy pop of color. Love it! Definitely right about the difficulty of finding blushes that show on brown skin. Love this! Series material for sure
i just stumbled upon your channel today, and girl, i love how the products you talk about compliments brown skin! it is so hard to find the perfect shade of anything related to make up when it comes to medium to brown skin tones and when you do find the great ones, they aint easy on your wallet. s, great job! Also, try tarte amazonian clay blushes, they are amazing. They stay on my cheeks longer than the NARS ones.
Benetint by benefit! I have quite dark skin and struggled with the undertones of powder blushes... so benetint’s pure red pigment was perfect for me! It pops and is buildable and lasts forever!!! 😍
FENTY FOUNDATION HAS BEEN A GAME CHANGER! I'm on the lighter side of brown girl, but with yellow undertones. When I get foundations I think match my color, I'll put it on inside and look fine, then go outside and look like an orange. The undertones in the FENTY line are perfection.
Just subscribed. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm all about more brown girl representation. ✊🏽 I'm soooo with you about MAC. The first makeup line I tried was Clinique back when I was 14 and was so discouraged because it made me look like a ghost. I remember thinking "Maybe makeup just isn't for me". Then I walked into MAC one day, and despite feeling way out of my league and overwhelmed, got shade-tested (I'm an NC40), and was shocked at what makeup made with a PoC's skin tone in mind could do. 😝 Since then, Ive largely moved away from buying MAC because I prefer to use and support natural makeup brands, but I will always be grateful to MAC because they really paved the way for so many brands to cater to an audience beyond those with ivory skin. ❤️
I love this type of series! But I disagree with It Cosmetics, I think they have an abysmal foundation range that looks horrible on deep skin tones :( But I would really love to see this series with eyeshadow palettes! It's so hard to find palettes that dont have too many light colors that I cannot use, so that would be so helpful! 😊
Yay. I'm a new subbie. Immediately loved your channel when I first came across it a few days ago. So good to find a brown girl channel where I'd be able to see how products raved about look on our skin. Thanks so much!!!!
Hi Deepica, I thought I was the only one stocking up on Lakme eye liners. I have been living in Canada for last 6 years and I still use Lakme eye liners. They are more than Rs 250 each now. I could relate to your video so much. I was NC 42 too, they have come up with a new shade (41) which I am currently using.
I'm South Indian as well and I've currently been in love with the Tarte Baked Amazonian Clay Blush series. I hated wearing blush before cuz it just reminded me of my struggles with acne but this blush is really buildable and it has a nice finish on my dark skin tone. Play around with those and see if you like them if you haven't already ;)
I would really recommend trying the colourpop pressed powder blushes for a cheaper alternative. The shade “weirdough” is the perfect warm to neutral toned pink that gives such a beautiful and natural flush to someone of my skin tone (NC42)
Omg your hair looks so good!! 😭 and I’m definitely into this series! I love you supporting brown girls on YT! ALSO omg I’m so excited about livetinted!!! So proud of you chasing your dreams this 2018!!
Want to thank you for linking to other desi/ brown youtubers! So powerful to see everyone support each other and provide a strong platform for the brown community!
I've got to add my two cents on the blush: NARS Taj Mahal. It looks striking in the pan but it's buildable, beautiful and looks great on us brown ladies.
i would love if you do make this series..because its really hard to find foundation or concealer for my skin color, so im always try to look for a recomendation for it. so it would be very helpful
Deepica u make lives easy with instant tips that i loved from ur video!!! The bobbi brown extra illumination moisture balm!! I have ordered mine after seeing this video! Infact i didn’t knew this kinda product existed... lots of love.. I would love to see you using ColorPop eye palette .. golden state of mind.. would love to see the colors on ur beautiful eyes... I really love your eyes...😘😘 !!
Loved the video! I’m a huge fan of the Hourglass foundation and the Fenty lipgloss! I’ll definitely try out the Bobbi brown moisture balm for sure.. You should try the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel if you haven’t already.. No more ashy skin!
You look gorgeous in this video! Im loving the wavy hair! Definitely make this a series I would love to know more brown girl faves! I really like the wet n wild catsuit liquid lipstick in rebel rose i think its the perfect brown girl everyday shade!
Omg Deepica you are so amazing with all your honesty , when it comes to dark circles .i have such dark circles . I will take your info and try it . Thanks
Legit freaked out when you mentioned MAC's Raizin powder blush - I've been using it forever and I think it deserves more hype! It's so stunning on brown skin 😍

Becca blush in Songbird is my go-to! It’s an orangey blush that always pops and makes me look radiant

No worries!
I discovered you and your channel from Ami Desai’s channel. This is the first video I’ve seen of yours solo...and I am dying! Where have you been all my life?!?! I too, am a brown gal from India, but was adopted as a baby. My parents are white, and my moms a tomboy to boot. I would recommend NARS Seduction blush. I mainly use 2 blushes MAC Raisin and NARS seduction. My MAC foundation match is nc42
I actually love the Sephora collection #16 Heated blush! It’s so good!!
finally a beauty guru with my skin tone! can't explain how excited I am
Omg I love you already! I love your voice. It's not annoying and you're not annoying and you're sincere. Thank you so much!
Blush: pomegranate by sleek and the balm cabanaboy. Similar shades. Very long lasting
It has coconut water in it and it just feels lovely.
love how she supports other youtubers unconditionally. truly goes to show how genuine she is.
Yassss represent! Absolutely adored this video. Also I really appreciate the mix of high end and low end products!

Tarte blush in Exposed!!!!! More of a subtle colour but you can really layer it on.. So great for our skin tone and pigmented
I love how straight-to-the-point you are. short and sweet, and all the the right info
My must have product for brown girls is Becca’s Champagne Pop highlighter! I find it so flattering on all brown skin tones and it’s a MUST for bridal looks too!!!
Would love to see your fave lipsticks (lipglosses etc included) in different finishes and at different price points!
Hey Vidya! I recently did a vid on my fave nude lippies for brown skin - would love if you took a look! ruclips.net/video/sPSH_w8nfVE/видео.html

Can I just say that your skin looks amazing in this look? Like wow.
Also thanks so much for this vid to spread love for melanin, and really glad that u included both high-end and drug-store brands.💜
Love your channel! One of my fave brown girl products is glossier boy brow in black - it’s so dark and looks great on dark brows!
Nars "Taj Mahal" is a fab blusher.. can also act as a golden bronzer... great for the summer especially!
I totally agree on blush!!! I love glossiers cloud paint in Beam! Perfect summery orange that blends so well with our olive/orange under tones
Love this idea of videos! Always looking for suggestions on makeup products for brown skin girls! You are beautiful!!

thanks for the video😊this hair style looks so good on u😍and is the foundation good for dry skin?
I love this type of series! But I disagree with It Cosmetics, I think they have an abysmal foundation range that looks horrible on deep skin tones :(
But I would really love to see this series with eyeshadow palettes! It's so hard to find palettes that dont have too many light colors that I cannot use, so that would be so helpful! 😊
Agree about IT cosmetics
Yay. I'm a new subbie. Immediately loved your channel when I first came across it a few days ago. So good to find a brown girl channel where I'd be able to see how products raved about look on our skin. Thanks so much!!!!

You must def try wet n Wild lip liners in brandy wine and plumberry! Perfect basic lip liners to overdraw lips and goes with any and every lip color!
If you love Mac blushes try Gingerly or Eternal Sun!!! I find people with our skin tone look great in orangey/coral blushes
Im currently using And love the E.L.F powder blush palette in dark
I'm South Indian as well and I've currently been in love with the Tarte Baked Amazonian Clay Blush series. I hated wearing blush before cuz it just reminded me of my struggles with acne but this blush is really buildable and it has a nice finish on my dark skin tone. Play around with those and see if you like them if you haven't already ;)
hey girl i just found your channel and I am sitting here just binge watching your videos! i love your channel and you are gorgeous!
Omg me too!!
My brown girl product rec is Charlotte Tilbury magic eye rescue cream with Onomie undereye concealer.
An amazing blush for our brown skin tone is this orange one from Sleek I don’t know the name of it but it is amazing and I recommend you using it!!
this needs to be an entire series!! love you deeps! xx
I would really recommend trying the colourpop pressed powder blushes for a cheaper alternative. The shade “weirdough” is the perfect warm to neutral toned pink that gives such a beautiful and natural flush to someone of my skin tone (NC42)

I've got to add my two cents on the blush: NARS Taj Mahal. It looks striking in the pan but it's buildable, beautiful and looks great on us brown ladies.
