Maybe the 3rd missing person happened to find him while he was still alive and brought him to the are. I say the SOS was created *after* the rescuers searched that area and that's why the didn't see it
@@kimmyfreak200 Japan doesn't have a millitary force anymore since 1947, all they have is a self-defense forces and they take part in peacekeeping operations too. So no Kenji couldn't have served in a war or millitary conflicts.
I have two theories on the Kenji Iwamura mystery: 1.) Kenji made the sign before his injury, and/or his injury was a result of making the sign. 2.) Some unknown third party made the SOS sign. If Kenji was too hurt to make the sign himself, and the two men who had been found hadn't made it either, then someone else had to have. Though of course, that raises the question: who?
@@erinfinn2273 I was thinking that, if a third party made the SOS sign, they'd done it after Kenji passed, since it probably would have helped find him if it had been made before he went missing.
About the second case: imo the simplest and most likely explanation for what he says on the tape is that he was delirious. Dehydrated, starving, exhausted, probably sleep deprived and scared out of his mind. People can quickly start to act crazy in these circumstances and say irrational or nonsensical things.
I mean it's possible he had a different reason to be up in the woods. Maybe to lure people. I don't know much other info on the guy outside of this video and the one mrballen did on the case. Could have easily faked somethings only to actually die from something in the forest in the end. Plus possibly a second person involved. Or more. Don't know. Ehh. Hmmm.?....?.....

Chinese officials and authorities have a sick taste for meat … probably started with that big famine back in the 1930s … dogs , cats , and transients who won’t be missed all get eaten.
When I heard Japan, I thought immediately of a crime of the worst kind, where the weird part was that literally hundreds of witnesses existed, but none informed the police and even cops apparently looked deliberately the other way, as if an entire town had conspired against one innocent, young woman...
@@lestatangel Well, in the dictionary "meat" is described as "the flesh of an animal", and since human beings are classified as animals, technically our remains are meat. Not saying I'm on board with cooking and eating it, it was just a r/technicallythetruth. If you are a cannibal then it's meat you are willing to eat, otherwise it's still meat regardless. It's not like steaks aren't meat to vegans because they don't eat them. Human remains are made of bones, nerves, blood vessels, skin, and tissue which is, in fact, meat. Technically.

I wonder if he was with someone else to begin with, they both got hurt somehow, and the less hurt of the two went off to get help leaving their friend with an SOS sign and a "help me" button. Unfortunately succumbing to their own injuries elsewhere and never getting help.
Oh hey! Thank you for linking to the post I made about Kenji Iwamura. It's such a strange and unsettling case with so many questions still remaining...I feel so terrible for his having been lost and forgotten for so long.
If that is a real, and respected theory by a few weirdos, (I'm guessing the eastern equivalent to flat earthers), then it may be correct considering the specifics to how her body was cut.
It was said she didn't had any friends or even enemies. It is a theory based on "exotic culture". The next one is that she was killed in a satanic ritual by a metalhead employee of a record store - really, this shit cries so much USA panic bullshit as commie histeria (which also stays present and strong, god save usa).
Theory on the Kenji one: He recorded the tape while he was lost, but not at his final moments. Perhaps he was near a hill at the time he recorded the tape, and even managed to see a search helicopter but they didn't see him because of the bamboo. Later, seeing that his situation didn't improve, he might have decided to keep moving and make the sign. Then something else happened (maybe exposure to the cold, maybe an injury while making the sign itself not at his best) and he ended up where he was found.
I thought something similar.maybr he got lost and made the sign and then later got injured and recorded the tape. The helicopter in the tape could be the search helicopter but they just didn't see the sign somehow. And then finally he just crawled a significant distance whilst injured. People can do pretty crazy things when their life depends on kt
I personally feel like the tape was recorded even before the hike. Kenji was an avid mountain hiker, and even prepared a prerecorded SOS recording prior just in case something went wrong in his eventual hikes.
The second story is a lot like Dyatlov pass, fundamentally. It's presented as mysterious, but at the end of the day it just seems like good ol fashioned panic.
the Nanjing dismemberment case is like a real-life version of the Simpsons treehouse of horror segment Nightmare Cafeteria I wonder if this case inspired it
Likely coincidence, As Lazy Masquerade pointed out cases that happen in other countries aren't well known in the west due to language barriers and only make it over there if it's been translated. Also, I'm pretty sure Nightmare Cafeteria is a Soylent Green parody since both stories involve secret-cannibalism as a means of dealing with overcrowding.
I love the ambiguity around 11:55, would make for an entertaining scene in a TV show. "The sign had helped them, but they hadn't made it." "So, what, they died?" "No, they had no clue who made the sign."
These Rabbit Hole Mysteries are some of my personal favorites! Reality is stranger than fiction! Keep up the great work my dude! I inspire to be as talented as you some day! 🔥🔥🔥
If I were a cop, I'd feel like a heel if I didn't at least buy the hungry yet honest citizen a burger for bringing forth that terrifying but important piece of evidence. I'd be sure to crack jokes like, "You didn't eat any of it did you?"
Poor Kenji. I don't know what it was about seeing the cases for his anime soundtrack cassettes, but there was just something achingly sad about it, just being reminded that this was a person a little like you who died like that…
The only thing I can really explain with the Kenji case is that maybe his body was dragged by animals to eat him after he passed? And possibly he didn’t make the SOS sign at all and someone else had that they never found.
I am obsessed with your content omg. Your voice is so smooth and your pronunciation of the ethnic names and locations of the stories is mesmerizing. I really just love your content lol. Keep up the good humor too! Your corny jokes are nice :)
You weren’t kidding when you said those pictures in the first case were horrific, like I’ve seen a lot of gore but... Jesus Christ, wtf. Even I wasn’t ready for that.
For the 2nd story I think the sequence of events goes something like this. 1 He gets lost. 2. Searchers look for him and one of the helicopters gets close but misses him. 3. He builds the massive S.O.S. sign, after the search team misses him. 4. After some time of no additional rescue attempts he makes a risky climb attempt, and falls but survives, but is seriously injured as a result. 5. He records the tape to save his voice, or to make sure he could reach after his injuries continue to weaken him. 6. He passes away.
Curiosity has killed the cat, I just had to read up on the first case. It’s so interesting and disturbing. I hope the family can get some answers soon so they can be at peace.
My thought on the SOS case is that someone found his body but didn't want to go to the authorities for whatever reason so instead of reporting it they built that big sign so that someone else would see it and find him
Before I start listening to these cases, I would like to say thank you for covering cases with language barriers!! I always know there’s so many more details that many have lost, so thank you.. I’m so interested now!! :)

Might be because Lazy has actually done some due diligence on Paulides and these cases. Do your own research on those missing 411 cases. David Paulides cherry picked a lot of facts and left out a lot of those pesky inconvenient facts that made cases less "mysterious." He also rarely gave sources for his information, which is sketchy to begin with. Also, the fact that he only promotes his book on conspiracy sites and programs should tell you something right there. He's also lied about his own past, how he gathered information on these cases and in many instances, the cases themselves. He consistently gets facts wrong about cases and in ninety-two of those "missing cases" the people were found alive and well. David Paulides is a con man and a liar, which is why he was forced to resign from the San Jose police department after being charged with a misdemeanor for fraudulently stating his rank on the force to obtain autographs. Paulides falsified many aspects of the cases he supposedly spent seven thousand hours investigating. He's full of shit. He also claims that he offers no theory or conclusion as to why this grand conspiracy is allowed to run amok, yet many of these cases were presented in another book he previously wrote about bigfoot attacks. Yes, he actually believes that bigfoot is responsible for missing persons in state parks and reserves. Missing 411 is the last place I'd look for information on missing persons cases because it falls into the realm of pseudo-fiction. That's why no respectable journalist would ever cover his book, because it doesn't take much fact checking at all to uncover the fact that Paulides is inconsistent with his information and has outright falsified details in many cases covered in the book. I wouldn't hire Paulides to solve the case of who ate my bag of cheetos that sat in the shelf for three days before they went missing! Spoilers! It was me the whole time! But seriously, he got so many details wrong, it was ridiculous. He also completely dismisses medically and scientifically known symptoms of hypothermia as "0oo00o spooky strange stuff!"

from the last promo code, I sent a box to my brother's house for his birthday. I thought it'd be a nice surprise if I didn't tell him it was coming. "Regionlocked mysteries" is one of my new favorite phrases.
Kenji didn't make the sos. Someone else did, probably before him. Maybe he crawled to it in hopes of finding help
did kenji ever serve in any war.... maybe the injuries caused a severe PTSD episode that might explain the helicopter cliff and bamboo brush thing he thought he was back in the war...just a guess...maybe he was wigging out before he was injured..made the sign first and while doing so broke his bones...
Maybe the 3rd missing person happened to find him while he was still alive and brought him to the are. I say the SOS was created *after* the rescuers searched that area and that's why the didn't see it
@@Sweety-v1k What other missing person? As far as we know it was only Kenji and those other two men.
@@kimmyfreak200 Japan doesn't have a millitary force anymore since 1947, all they have is a self-defense forces and they take part in peacekeeping operations too. So no Kenji couldn't have served in a war or millitary conflicts.
@@gaaraxnaru I'm just theorizing that there could've been a third missing person, someone who had enough stamina to get the logs in place
I have two theories on the Kenji Iwamura mystery:
1.) Kenji made the sign before his injury, and/or his injury was a result of making the sign.
2.) Some unknown third party made the SOS sign. If Kenji was too hurt to make the sign himself, and the two men who had been found hadn't made it either, then someone else had to have. Though of course, that raises the question: who?
My thoughts exactly. is there some other group that made the SOS sign before him, and we haven't found them yet?
I wonder if the bit about accentuating different syllables was testing which carried the furthest to improve his chances of survival?
@@erinfinn2273 I was thinking that, if a third party made the SOS sign, they'd done it after Kenji passed, since it probably would have helped find him if it had been made before he went missing.
The scariest part is that somebody found a bag of meat in the garbage and decided to eat it.
Honestly more sad than scary
When youre so poor, it doesn't matter where the food comes from. It's sad but the poverty in China is really bad :(
If you're really poor it's not the worst way to get food. The scariest thing would be seeing what it is and eating it anyway.
@@jackgreen5875 its not that bad but they stilleverything
to an impoverished chinese citizen, a bag full of meat in a dumpster is like winning the lottery, really bad over there.

Communism has a weird correlation with widespread cannibalism. Can't imagine why.
"This wasn't a bag of meat at all, it was a bag of human remains" _technically_ that is meat
If you are a cannibal. Otherwise I believe the correct definition would be human remains.

Hello Tori! I chose my own name to be Tori! We're both Tori :D

That “1000 cuts” theory is straight up sad. They’re all sad - but that one got to me more than the others.
Hands down one of the best horror narrator on RUclips
Lazy: Don't google this case ...seriously!
Me: *curiosity intensifies*
Theory on the Kenji one:
He recorded the tape while he was lost, but not at his final moments.
But still he had a lot of strength to go all the way to the village. Unless he didnt know where was it.
@@unkownproxyservant2730 maybe he didn't know where it was but judged it best to keep walking as long as he could.

Likely coincidence, As Lazy Masquerade pointed out cases that happen in other countries aren't well known in the west due to language barriers and only make it over there if it's been translated.
