The only truly dead are those who have been forgotten, the mere fact that she was still talked about in this video means she accomplished what she set out to do.
@@thedoughyboy4030 That sentiment is very curious, she could be remembered for ever but that wouldn't make a difference *for her* right now. Only the living are able to be aware of her memory, but not her, her conscience is gone, being remembered or forgotten doesn't make a difference to the dead, only the living. Her legacy lives on as long as she is talked about, that's the way we as a species found to prolong our presence in this world, we value memories, so much so that the fact the matter that makes up our bodies will live on, transforming and adapting, but we don't care about that, the memories of others are what we consider "immortality" Even if the atoms in our bodies will exist in some form until the end of the universe, most of us still don't care about that.

Would love to see more Region Locked Mysteries- as there are many more in this world we have yet to uncover fully. Even Singapore - normally considered one of the safest countries in the world- has its fair share of dark cases including Adrian Lim : a fake medium who, with his wife AND mistress killed two children ritualistically, and the Tan Sibling case ( every parent's worst nightmare).
If you plan on doing part 2 of the "region locked" cases, may I suggest the Kurim case? Someone did a write up on it in the r/UnresolvedMysteries, IIRC. It's not entirely unknown in English speaking countries, but it's incredibly bizzare. Actually, that might even be an understatement.
I support this idea. I mean, so many people connected to this case that had no hesitations to torture small kids? It's horrifying. Especially when you realize that many of these people worked with kids on daily basis. It's interesting that it is so little known outside the Czech Republic.
I believe it’s dangerous for filipinos to comment negatively about the government since they’ll be tagged as enemy of the state but 2nd story is true and is still one of the biggest obvious government coverups I’ve read online.
It does seem like a cover up but couldn't the girls in the family pics just be other sisters, or cousins that look alike? Because the one without glasses doesn't even have the same facial structure, the nose is completely different and the way her eyes are set as well...
My mother is a judge in the Philippines to be exact a judge in a regional trial court. There are times when I would read some of the cases she would be given, however when asked about the Chiong sisters, she believes those men who were convicted weren’t innocent. Although I do believe that these men were innocent and the Chiong murders were a conspiracy and a very suspicious cover up. It’s strange how many Filipinos still debate whether they’re innocent or not but for me personally the entire trial was a sham.
my parents knew the suspects personally coz they went to school together, if you heard the shit they have done prior to the chong sisters' murder, you'd doubt the suspects' innocence.
@@vjmasta3809 That actually helps create a reason to do this....if they had crossed someone or hurt someone who knew powerful people..but couldnt be arrested cause lack of evidence....BUT it would have had to be someone really important to someone powerful
@@vjmasta3809 it’s still a very clearly incorrect case, they couldn’t even formally identify the body. That screams a sham to me when mixed with the family being very nice and even giving gifts to the man that claimed to be with the 7 when they “killed” the sisters. If they truly are guilty then the case was completely screwed by not formally identifying the body. Alongside attempting to execute someone who wasnt even a Philippine citizen. Also the extremely uncannily similar pictures of potentially the sisters seen in the potential victims’ family photos. I personally cannot see any other option other than this case being a sham to get innocent men guilty for a crime they didn’t commit, for whatever reason that may be.
I believe they were guilty too. The only thing they have is the recent pictures of older women with the Chiong family and they don’t even look like the Chiong sisters.

italy has a whole lot of "region locked" cases, one of the most famous and interesting one is the "il mostro di firenze" (florence's monster). Unluckly most of those cases are crimes against women
@@mtflieutenant7693 how does unluckly say "thankfully men are killed tho"?? Saying unluckly women are killed doesnt mean thanfully men are where did i say that?? I was stressing the fact that there is something called genderbased violence and in italy is very much a reality, which is completely different from men being killed cause they are not killed because they are men but women are! They are killed and abused purely cause they are women and wanted more right, what you say is so fucking stupid, its like saying during blm that all lives matter, yeah duh!! What a genius butits not the point Geez men wants to be oppressed so much they gotta cry everytime some girl say women are killed ugh
The Monster of Florence is still fairly famous outside of Italy, with many English videos about it on the internet and even a few documentaries. Also most of the victims were male and female couples, with one “couple” being two German guys that looked like a couple from a far, since one had long hair and a small frame the killer is believed to think he was a woman. That being said, what he did to the women’s remains, is truly disgusting. I am just confused by you saying that the victims were mostly women when 9 out of the 16 victims were men. Either way, it’s one of the most fascinating and disturbing unsolved serial killer stories ever. Sad that he will never face justice, since he is probably dead by now.
@@MatryoshkasInsanity Ah, I see what you were saying now. I thought when you said “most of those cases” you where talking about the individual cases of the Monster, not cases in general.
I was 8 yrs old when the Chiong Sister's case was aired on the Calvento Files TV series. It is completely messed up. All the details and evidences (and the lack of it) just don't add up, but still they convicted those "suspects". It's just sad that after all these years, justice seem to be elusive for those involved 😔 the men couldn't prove their innocence or they weren't "allowed" to, and the victims' family have questionable decisions & actions, like why didn't they want the dead body to be tested and why didn't they look for the body of the other girl... too many loopholes. There's actually a documentary about it, "Give up tomorrow" which seems to give light to the case.
The first case ... Even before you mention her name, my hairs were already standing on ends and I got goosebumps. The neighbouring countries from Malaysia are also familiar with Mona Fandey. Exactly! I honestly feel like because corruption runs so deep with those with money and connections, they probably forced other people to take the blame and planted another girl's body and made the sisters flee to Canada.
@@KarlaBergado I think the more likely explanation is one that is sadly common- prosecutors and investigators care less about the truth than about getting a conviction, they blame people who didn't commit the crime, misrepresent (or in this case, fake) the evidence to get a conviction, and nobody's the wiser.
What gets me is the guy who was proven he was not even there by witnesses, a flight manifest as well as a security log. He literally was not there and was still convicted.

One fact about Mona Fendi I wanna tell as a Malaysian. Her trial is actually drag out for a long time. It was actually because her attorney wanted Mona to plead guilty and confessed everything herself. The attorney know there's nothing he can do but at least he wanted Mona to confessed herself. They were a lot of theory as to why the attorney did what he did. The famous theory was that the attorney was hoping that Mona could at least feel regret after confessing so that she died regretting her choice in life. Well we all know how that went. With her still smiling even right before getting hung I don't think she regrets anything. Anyway sorry if I used wrong grammar or what not.
So that's what he is referencing? Regular grown person here wondering where the "region locked" part ties in and all I'm coming up with is its a flashy title for true crime from a certain region. At least he picked interesting cases and I hadn't heard of two of them I guess...
@@Sunshine_Daydream222 he mentioned in the beginning thay he called it "Region Locked" bc the stories aren't well known outside of their respective region, either from lack of translation or western media attention
@@Sunshine_Daydream222 "Region locked" is a term commonly used in gaming to describe features that are only released in certain geographic regions. Often, slightly different versions of a game will be released for different markets, and therefore certain content will only be available in specific countries. In the case of Pokemon, I remember it was common (and probably still is common) for Pokemon with certain moves to only be available to Japanese players. For this video, he is borrowing the term because it's like these cases have only been available in certain geographic regions, whether due to lack of interest from global media, few/poor translations, or just generally getting lost in the worldwide deluge of information.

This was an excellent topic for a series! Definitely make a sequel, there must be so many of these type of stories that we never hear of in other countries
The Chundawat deaths are a whole lot more bizarre than this little blurb lets on. It covers eleven years, eleven diaries, and eleven deaths. The whole case revolves around the number eleven, and numerology played a big role in the evidence. That sentiment is very curious, she could be remembered for ever but that wouldn't make a difference *for her* right now.
Only the living are able to be aware of her memory, but not her, her conscience is gone, being remembered or forgotten doesn't make a difference to the dead, only the living.
Her legacy lives on as long as she is talked about, that's the way we as a species found to prolong our presence in this world, we value memories, so much so that the fact the matter that makes up our bodies will live on, transforming and adapting, but we don't care about that, the memories of others are what we consider "immortality"
Even if the atoms in our bodies will exist in some form until the end of the universe, most of us still don't care about that.

I believe it’s dangerous for filipinos to comment negatively about the government since they’ll be tagged as enemy of the state but 2nd story is true and is still one of the biggest obvious government coverups I’ve read online.

@@earthisnotflat7557 fifty cents army??

What a genius butits not the point
Geez men wants to be oppressed so much they gotta cry everytime some girl say women are killed ugh
@@dontstopmeow5757 mine was a general statement: lots of cases in italy are gender based

Lazy’s video qualities are just unmatchable. His narration and use of pictures is amazing. This guy needs more credit.
