I feel like Andre is studying Sean Evans’ interview technique on Hot Ones and doing something similar for wine but with the quiz twist, and I think it’s awesome!
It might be worth changing the format to "rank these wines in terms of price" and then do the reveal at the end. They keep all the wines in mind through the whole tasting and can make comparisons (if they want to, maybe that's not something the wine makers like lol) over time. That seems like it might be cool.
Definitely doesn't hurt DWade and Andre are both just kind of chilled out dudes with great, relatable, and just awesome down-to-earth personalities. Also, having a few things in common that a lot of people can relate to, doesn't hurt either. For example, the butterscotch candies comparison with the second wine is one of the big ones that happens early on and, I'm sure, resonates with a lot of viewers. But, idk. For all I know, me being a fan of DWade is clouding my judgement 🤣
tbh i saw the kevin hart episode and thought "ugh, all these celebrities self-conscious about wine are just going to sit here making the same dumb 'oh yeah i taste that too'/'oh i knew that' jokes over and over." But Wade was so nice and chill about it. i feel like you can tell a true wine hobbyist when they're not too embarrassed to get something wrong.
wouldnt call dwade a "true casual wine hobbyist" tho lol brought his own selection of wines to the olympics, and he has his own wine cellar where he produces his own very good wine together with jason pahlmeyer.
@@leonhardable you're right- I totally forgot until he mentioned it toward the end that he has his own wine cellar! In the beginning he just gives off such a humble vibe, like a guy who just knows a bit more about wine than the average person lol

This is an amazing interview and really shows off the quality individual that Dwayne is. The things he says about fatherhood and life shows the human side of this superstar.
I love this, as I do Mr. Wade. A wine he couldn't connect with: “I would order this again.” Wine is like art… so much goes into understanding it. Certain ones challenge you. You know there is something there…you need to learn more about your relationship with it. PLEASE! Keep this coming! I love this!!!!!
This is my favorite series on BA right now. I'm a diehard It's Alive fan for life, and that's my go-to when I need a smile. But this series is really special. I like wine and know which varieties I prefer, but I'm no expert, and the cool thing about Andre is that he makes wine so approachable and emphasizes that if it tastes good to you, that's all that matters. Beyond that, he has great chemistry with his guests, and the conversations very naturally flow between wine, black culture, sports/entertainment, etc. It's kinda like Hot Ones where the wings are the driving force moving the interview forward, but the conversation gets much deeper than the format/gimmick of the interview. (Except in this case, the interview subjects are getting increasingly drunk rather than being increasingly in pain.)
I was getting sleepy then I noticed a new André Mack video, now I'm wide eyed dreaming of wines and wondering why Mack hasn't got his own show. I'd listen to his down to earth, enthusiastic, mine of knowledge all day long. Come on Amazon or Netflix what are you waiting for?
I love seeing Andre give such a variety of wines knowing that D Wade has a celebrity brand. It can really exposes that you can stick a label on a bottle without much background. But I love seeing the chemistry between the two. Great interview and exposure to more wines
I see Andre Mack...I watch... and I'm never disappointed! Love this new show. The last one with Kevin Hart was AMAZING! This one is great too. I'm not a basketball fan, but I enjoyed getting to know him through wine. 🍷
I have a feeling that dwade drinks a lot of “not so” expensive wine, that’s what he subconsciously feels everything is around 20-30 dollars. With the amount of money he has he could spend 300 dollars every night on a bottle but I have a feeling he doesn’t. Good to see athletes not blowing their money and ending up broke after retirement. Very down to earth guy.
@@zephramartin6632 my uncle is a wine collector and has some of the big price tag bottles in his cellar, but he always says that $10 - $50 bottles are the way to go, after about $100 the value of the wine really diminishes. in his opinion, a $500 bottle is often not THAT much better than a $100 bottle. that said, having been lucky enough to taste some $1000+ bottles, i think that part of it is the experience. sharing something like that with close friends or family creates some great memories. just make sure to drink it first before getting into the other bottles so you can remember the memories! lol

He may have guessed wrong about the price point, but who cares. It's obvious that he pays attention to what's in the glass and tastes it with the care that a wine deserves. Chapeau, DW!
I like the format! Although, I’d rather the guest rank the wines as they go. Then reveal the price points and info at the end. They narrow down the options so later guesses are easier
Loved this convo! So much fun, great chemistry between the 2 and André is the best to watch when it comes to all things wine! Keep more content of him coming!

This was such great interview by 2 people who wish to help everyone to experience wine like the world does: I. Could sit and taste wine with Dwayne any day and learn something.
This was great. DWayde's actually passionate about wine. The basketball questions seemed like he'd answered 1000 times before, but everything whine related was super entertaining
Saw another Andre episode so, naturally, I clicked in a heartbeat. Bonus is that it's an episode with DWade. Stuff like this is why I'm really loving the new BA. 😍
Dwayne didn’t care about the prices, the “contest” wasn’t important. You can tell he appreciates the wine. This was very enjoyable to watch. That cashmere was an added bonus.
Andre I love this celebrity series. Seriously man these are brilliant. Loved the two I have seen with Dwayne and Kevin. This has HIT written all over it.
