I will literally watch any video this man makes. These celebrity episodes have been great, it’s always interesting to see which celebrities have gone above and beyond to make a product that goes beyond marketing with their name.
Definitely agree. This is actually the first times that I’ve tried one of the wines that Andre features. I’ve had Glou Glou before, really enjoyed it, and had no idea that it was a “celebrity” wine.
He is absolutely phenomenal to listen to. I really enjoyed coming across these videos late, cuz sitting down and getting to watch 2-3 at a time was awesome. Kinda makes me wish I could go back to that point and rediscover them and enjoy them for the first time.
@@an0gr0br Glou Glou was the one I was most interested in trying out of all of these that he talked about in this video. Will be doing my best to find a bottle of it
It's very very hard to talk wine without sounding like a snob, but this man pulls it off. I don't know what about him that make wine talk sound much more genuine and authentic than other wine critiques that usually sound SO SNOB. Great job finding this man. Keep it coming!
he says the buzzwords, but he explains it, I think that helps a lot, he makes you feel a part of it rather than just saying stuff and not helping you understand
@@Tensen01 His pronounciation of varieties is rock bottom though. Sorry to say but it's true. When he named XAREL LO I was able to deduce whaz he meant only bcs that is one of the main Spanish white grapes.
Wine Morpheus has spoken. Man, not only has this series become one of the BA channel's saving graces but i love the way Andre explains wines. It's easy to understand and is great.
I’ve been sober for nearly 8 years and I still watch all of André’s content. We need an alcohol free wine episode to see if there are any decent options!
4:50 incidentally, glou glou in French refers not only to chugging, but also the sound made when pouring. I think here the point might be to say that it is a very "pourable" wine in that you won't put the bottle down for very long.
Don't get me for this, but when André starts saying the notes, I always think of those tarot readers mentioning random signs in their readings, except this is real. This man is a treasure!
Will immediately watch André’s videos, I love that he’s so personable and unpretentious. Will definitely be trying Pursued by Bear, Chosen Family, Caduceus and Yao Ming 👍
Why isn’t Andre’s name right in the video title?! I learn more in 20 minutes of every video Andre stars in than any other bon appètit video. Masterclass, dude!
It’s funny how this guy can speak so technically about wines but not sound like a snob! Probably because he’s confident about his knowledge so he doesn’t have to try to make others feel less than. He also seems genuine about wanting everyone to enjoy 🍷 I think anyone would like to have a glass of wine with him..
I'm not a big wine drinker, I don't care about wine at all. But here I am watching all these videos about wine because this man somehow makes it interesting.
I could watch this guy all day. I did wine tasting when I was young and it was mostly posh boring people except some of the organisers who clearly loved their craft. This guy is so clear in his descriptions and so natural, he’s not putting up a show, he’s letting us know what he thinks. It’s like drinking wine with a friend.
Just watched his first celebrity wine video, he is so passionate when he talks about wine I am almost envious that he gets to do this for a career! André is an absolute blast, I will devour this content endlessly.
I dont know anything about wine but I love watching and seeing how he breaks down the flavor profiles. Makes it easier for me to break down what Im tasting as well to try and pinpoint what wine I like.
I love Andre! More Sommelier Tries episodes PLEASE! He is do down to earth, and every video so educational for people just starting out their journey with wine. Loved it!
These are some of the best BA videos. Informative without being pretentious. The ones that sound the best are out of my price range, but good information
I like the clear bottles and glass closure. It's honest and realistic, very few people are going to buy an affordable wine with the intention of aging.
You should do a video on the most popular wines that everyone seems to consume; Caymus, Silver Oaks, Prisoner, Justin etc etc, and maybe rank them if they are worth the mainstream hype or just have good marketing budgets.
That is so cool that Jerome made the tasting. I know Arizona has a ton of wineries, specifically Jerome does feel like your in Amalfi, but without the ocean. The entire town is on the side of a mountain. An idea is to taste different regions/states just like you do with these wines! :) Great video!
I have been visiting Arizona for the past decade mostly because of the amazing effing chillness of the vistas around Sedona and for the sleeper cell wines. Caduceus and Merkin are solid and they’ve done a lot to build a reach exceeding the borders of the state. but there are so many other spots that preceded their creations and run as strong a game at half the price. Do a series about Arizona wineries. Go to Page, Alcantara, Cabal Celars and check out the Oddity Collective to meet and see the up and coming youths of the industry there. Yavapai College is running a great course load. The Verde Valley is a new AVA. DO IT!!!!! ❤
You said it exactly too overdeveloped too rich, my reaction to many California wines. I would drink them in large burgundy glasses in small quantities. This is the best wine evaluation I have come across explaining and using terminology like a tutorial. Superb.
andre is the man! thanks for covering maynard keenan’s wine, i’ve been curious about them for years. i will have to grab a bottle and try for myself sometime
Idea: Can Andre and Brad get together and do a pairing segment. Brad cooks something weird and huge like a fermented dry aged tomahawk and Andre pairs it to make a complete meal.
I do not like how this was edited. It is too choppy. Andre is wonderful to watch because of his pauses and calming speech patterns, and of course, his knowledge.
Can you guys do something like a sommelier going to vineyards that a normal person would go to and rate the experience? I've wanted to go to Fredericksburg Texas for some vineyard tours, but I dont know how much value is there so I think it would make for good/informative content!
See an Andre’ video, like it before I even watch it. Only me? Also, does anything think when Andre’ wants to go out into the world and NOT be recognized he doesn’t wear a hat?
I’d love to see Andre do some blind tasting based on region or price. (Both?) and include some Door County, WI wines because I’m a Wisconsinite and they take their wine seriously up there. Would love to hear his take on some of them
instantly recognized that Altos Las Hormigas malbec in the background. One of the best wines you can get for the price (at least here in argentina, around 2 dollars)
My only thought when I started watching this was that I really wanted Eric's to be good. I've been a lifelong fan of his comedy, but his book Foodheim really impressed me and showed that he's passionate about food. So I knew that he'd make a genuine effort and I'm really glad to see it paid off.
I love every video Andre does! I even read his wife's book (a very interesting read BTW.) My difference with him is affordability. A $20 or 25 wine at retail is a splurge for me. I'd love to see more videos in Everyman's price range.
Glad to hear you rate Agent Coo… er Kyle Maclachlan’s wine well. As a Washington guy I really have been impressed with some of the stuff coming out of here. Little less intense fruit and alcohol but lots of complexity and sense of place. It’s a beauty. Love these videos
I love the mix of expertise and personality you put into all of these videos! If you do another I'd like hearing what you have you have to say about Drew Bledsoe's Doubleback wine.
Gordon Ramsay the person is so famous now it's easy to forget that he was once a very serious 3 star Michelin chef. When I think of Gordon Ramsay I think "the Simon Cowell of food".
Well we knew DiCaprio's wasn't going to be aged
Outstanding comment 😂
😂
Bazinga!
ayoooo
Aging just makes them too easy. Takes the fight out of the experience.

The Carl Sagan of Wine.

I was just confused when he said the wine smelled like rocks...I didn't know rocks had a smell tbh.

Just drink grape juice
White verjus. Works great to cook with too.
Congratulations on your sobriety! Keep it up! :)
That’s such a great idea
Congratulations on your sobriety! I'd enjoy some non alcoholic wine options during pregnancy as well!

For the future episodes can you show us your preferred alternatives to each wine at a cheaper price 😄
This is good
That would be great!
Another option is to look up the same grape varietal at a winery in the same region and climate as the ones in this video.
Cheaper but good wine. Vina Zorzal garnacha for 12 dollars was tasted by him and a celebrity and both said it was good.
The celebrity is Tessa Thompson who was on the tasting with celebrity episode
That’s the kinda thing- you all should be doing
So honest, so knowledgeable, I don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy wine with friends or a meal. Thank you Andre'!
It’s funny how this guy can speak so technically about wines but not sound like a snob! Probably because he’s confident about his knowledge so he doesn’t have to try to make others feel less than. Been going back and rewatching all of Andre's stuff. So stoked to see more new content with him.
I'm not a big wine drinker, I don't care about wine at all. But here I am watching all these videos about wine because this man somehow makes it interesting.
Need a Kirkland Wine Video
Agree!
They just made one! It's excellent.

The absolute GOAT at breaking down wine
He's so entertaining in his craft explaining these little hints and nuances of each wine while keeping it really easy to follow. Big thumbs up

I found Pursued by Bear a few years ago and have some bottles I keep for special occasions. I'm SO happy to see Kyle getting the props he deserves!
André is the g.o.a.t. for making it so accessible and fun
Struck gold with Andre! I don't even drink wine but here I am. Really enjoying this man!
This series is the only reason Im still subscribed to Bon Appetite
I was just about to comment the same lol
Facts
tbh i forgot this series was on BA... I think its the only thing I watch here now as well.
I'd love to see one of these on Kirkland wines.
and me on box wines
These are some of the best BA videos. Informative without being pretentious. The ones that sound the best are out of my price range, but good information

I don't drink wine but I love this guy. Great energy.
Thank you for hearing the Caduceus calling, appreciate the honest review!
Just in time for a night cap video! Love Andre's enthusiasm at talking about these wines. 👌
André seems to be a pretty cool guy. I would love to have him as a friend
Andre is incredibly engaging, informative… and fun!
I like the clear bottles and glass closure. It's honest and realistic, very few people are going to buy an affordable wine with the intention of aging.
Another great, informative video. It's so tempting to buy celebrity endorsed/produced wines, but so many are not wonderful. Love you Andre!
You should do a video on the most popular wines that everyone seems to consume; Caymus, Silver Oaks, Prisoner, Justin etc etc, and maybe rank them if they are worth the mainstream hype or just have good marketing budgets.
I’m glad Eric’s wine is good cos he’s really into it
I wish I had as much knowledge about anything as this guy has about wine.
Ive watched three of these wine videos and now it is my life's goal to create a delicious wine that can impress André Hueston Mack
Nothing better than Andre Mack Mondays!
Another great episode with this gentleman. I can’t wait to try Glou Glou and Pursued by Bear.

Ahhh love Glou Glou and what Las Jaras puts out. Super happy they were featured.
I’d love to see Andre’s take on small, local wineries using US grapes like Norton and Chamborcin
I agree. That would be really cool.
I am 57, love to watch your videos when I've having my evening drink.
My grandfather used to do a Wax top and then seal little plastic neck/cork decorations on top with a heat gun for his homemade wine, love a wax seal.
Fantastic lineup. Love how old world our wine taste out here in AZ.
I could watch André all day. But I wanna know HIS favorites. Give us a Mack top 10!
Could you, at the end, show all the celeb pics w/the emoji he picked on the screen at once? Would be nice to see the results at a glance.

Balance quality with reasonable price. Gordon Ramsay knows what he's doing.
Another few suggestions for next time that are pretty great would be Porte Noir by Idris Elba and D3R by Daniel Riccardo
