@@bvedant I think it's mostly he doesn't have the time to curate and edit his own stuff so he does it with BA. Like he owns 4 restaurants, a meat shop, and a wine shop in Brooklyn and also runs a graphic design firm.

I’ve had the pleasure of talking with Andre and he is just as kind and friendly in person as he is in these videos. If you’re ever in NYC, I’d highly recommend the wine bar that he owns and operates in Brooklyn called & Sons. A very cute intimate and warm wine bar with a fantastic list that focuses on US wines. They also have a great menu of charcuteries which they hand slice with these cool vintage flywheel slicers. I’ve heard great things about his restaurant Kingfisher as well, but haven’t been yet.

@@stinkinmushroom Why is that? The US is capable of producing world class wines that can compete with and outperform grand cru burgundy and Bordeaux. Not every winery in the US makes mass-produced sugary fruit juice, there are plenty of serious winemakers making serious quality wines.

Andre is single handedly responsible for me falling in love with dry red wines. We need more of him!!! I wonder if his palate is insured.
Love Andre and love how he makes wine so approachable. I've taken classes myself and the somms who taught them were good, but didn't have as much of a "let's just learn about wine" vibe. cause wine is complicated but it doesn't have to be!

I love how this guy stays with the premise of YOU are the som of your own taste, he doesn't put anyone down for feeling anything he just states how he feels and encourages one to find what they truly enjoy.
I love this man! He seems very approachable, is giving great yet simple explanations, no pretensions, with a "you like what you like" attitude and no snobbery. Yes, start a channel. I read some comments below and it appears he owns a wine bar, so start there! Have some "real people" taste and comment about his suggestions!
I used to watch a show in the UK when visiting my dad that had sommeliers compete and it was the greatest thing "this was crown in Chile, the southern coast, a west facing side, picked by Jose and his burrow Charlie, on a Wednesday when it was 72 degrees and it's X brand". It was the best!
I was waiting for this one. Andre' is so good when it comes to teaching and entertaining at the same time. I also recommend his book!

I LOVE this guy. Ever since I saw him on BA years back I've watched anything I can get my hands on. He's so approachable and charming. If this guy was my sommalier I'd be a return customer to your establishment every week. Never had someone explain wine in a way that makes me appreciate the wine I drink on a weekly basis.
Easily the most informative and interesting video of the lot - every single question response I learned a couple things, my own research be damned. Massive kudos to Andre.

Looking at him, I would never guess he's a master sommelier, I would have guessed he's a jazz musician. He's got that easygoing vibe.

Andre is such an amazing wine educator. He shares an amazing depth of knowledge while making it easily accessible (I'm not sure people realise how OG master he is because he's so humble). At some point there were so many bugs in our wine that we just used them instead of the grapes and no one noticed.
When i was at louvier valley i think its called in france i tasted the red rose and white wine and it was super sweet to insane level honestly i couldnt drink it compare to other

I’ve seen him on other videos and he’s great. I would love to do a tasting hosted by him. He’s right. I have a friend who LOVES an oaky Chard and I can’t stand oaky Chard. I love a bold Cab and she hates it. It’s about what you like.
This is pretty cool and Mr. Somelier here will probably never see this comment, but I got a bachelor in psych because of watching Frasier. Cool that someone else let that show influence such a big part of their life.
