- Curry leaves is packed with nutrition and it is a good idea to include it in some form in our diet. Here is a recipe for a healthy Curry leaves rice with some Potato fry as a combo.
Ingredients
Rice 1 cup
Curry leaves 1 cup
Oil 1 tsp
Urad dal 2 Tbsp
Channa dal 11/2 tbsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli 3
Coriander seeds 1/2 tbsp
Hing/asafoetida 1 cube
Tamarind a small piece
Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
Til/Sesame oil 2 Tbsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
urad dal 1/2 tsp
Dry chilli 1
Curry leaves a few
Peanuts 1 Tbsp
Potato Fry
Potatoes 4-5
Oil 2 Tbsp
Mustard seeds1/4 tsp
urad dal 1/2tsp
Hing a pinch
Turmeric powder a pinch
Chilli powder 1 /2 tsp

People always praise North food but only if they saw our delicious and healthy South Indian cooking! Unlike the north, our foods are light and tasty and don't have a lot of cream and butter in them ^^. I do like North food too but as South Indian, I prefer our own regional cooking.
