alright ima try my best shot at this well for staters the studio making this also made attack on titan,Spy x Family,Vinland saga and a few other animes ive never seen before the designs for the characters are interesting and uniqe im not gonna lie i think both clayface and joker are my favorites both writers made RE:Zero the director did Jujustu Kisen so in terms of production they have a lot of big names and talented people so trust this story will be handled well also the deadshot thing don't worry about that it's no uncommon for complete opposites to voice character some male characters are actually voiced by female VA's sorry for making this so long and yes i did research all of this

To be fair, In The OG Suicide Squad comic They all were just a team of nobody super villains that were just meant to die with it's only prominent members being deadshot, kingshark and captain boomerang was one of the founding members even. But then at some point they added harley into it and since DC just LOOOOVES Harley and the money they make with her, they decided to just make more SS stuff to shove more Harley into us.
But the Anime is so far pretty fire, NGL. Would definitely recommend.

I’m actually fairly optimistic about this. The animation in the fight scenes is hella smooth with a lot of expression. It gives me Hit Money vibes. Goateed show btw. Also that Harley design is cute af not gonna lie😳.
I don’t feel like we should hate on this show just because the market for Suicide Squad is becoming oversaturated. This anime was probably in the works longs before people started to get sick of this franchise . So you can’t really blame them. I believe we should judge the show off what it is, not the controversy it’s surrounded by. And you seem like you’re on a somewhat similar mindset, Demigah.
I might hold off on watching this though until the dub drops. I’m just not a fan of reading subtitles. And honestly I hope they don’t have Tara Strong voice Harley. She’s great, but I wanna see more takes on the character.
Lastly, I would’ve much preferred something like a Teen Titans anime. These guys have basically been slept on in visual media for years now. Mostly now only being known for the shitty (if sometimes funny) Cartoon Network show.

Oh the upside, if anyone can make something stale fun again, I think Japan has a better record. Season 1 of Star Wars Visions had some good stuff. And the manga Superman vs Meshi was better than any comic DC has put out in years.

Teen titans, justice league or Even Justice league dark Could've been great animes. But ive been saying suicide squad played out. Marvel and Dc be acting like they don't a bunch of characters in their arsenal.

The Squad is supposed to be a rag tag band of C-listers just thrown together, or atleast that's how they're presented. But nowadays it's starting to feel like "Oh It's Suicide Squad, gotta have Harley, Boomerang, Deadshot and Shark". Don't get me wrong, they're awesome characters, but let's shake it up a bit, give someone else the limelight.
So I was really happy when I saw Clayface on this Team, cuz that's new!
Give us a new team, don't they canonically have several squads?

@@randomreactionstv2721 No one's saying that's fine either, lots of people want more content based around other DC characters too. There's a lot of potential no matter what corner of the DC universe you look at, Green Arrow could have his own game that plays similar to the Batman games for example, same exact formula but it would still be refreshing, or there could've been a Teen Titans game if they wanted to do multiple playable characters since that's a franchise everyone loves and wants, and even if it looked and played exactly like Gotham Knights people would probably still like it more regardless since it's an old IP (The live action show is way too different to even be considered Teen Titans, even i, as someone who likes some shameless reboots and remakes, thought it was terrible).
Suicide Squad isn't bad in and on itself, the first two movies were decent and i'm honestly kinda hyped up for the anime, but people are starting to get tired of seeing them everywhere when there's so much more you can do with the universe as a whole, instead of only using the same few characters over and over with nearly no changes at all.
It honestly sucks that the Suicide Squad is now something that we're tired of now, or automatically know it's gonna be fine-to-ass at best. WB just never learns.
Its sad Suicide Squad gets more recognition than the Legion of Doom, literally THE super villain team.
Suicide squad got two movies, three animated movies, and a game before any mainstream league member or fucking Static Shock.
Why would they need another static shock show and if even if they did made anime for other league members it wouldn't be popular enough to make up the money so they chose what's well known and popular in the franchise

Im currently playing shadow of war, i usually hate rpgs, but this one is my only exception (and destiny 2). Even if the game is just a copy and paste of som/sow gameplay, it'll still do great, because its excellent

The people have been DEMANDING a flash game for so long, more so after that insomniac spider man mod which basically turns him into the flash. What sucks is the suicide squad is such a cool concept, but they’ve been overused to appoint that nobody cares anymore.
I also hate how most modern suicide squad material is written with what I like to call “modern antihero syndrome”. Essentially it’s when they have the character do the most heinous unforgivable thing you can imagine but then you’re expected to still find them likable because “they are anti-heroes, so they can’t be all bad” but then they failed to have them do anything truly selfless and heroic to compensate.
The suicide squad in concept is a great idea. Having it that the government hires super villains illegally to do the dirty work they don’t want to is a great way to explain why so many super-villains get off easy instead of getting the sentence they probably deserve, and it’s a great idea for societal commentary. but in recent years, WB has squandered the potential of this group

Thanks. Honestly, this is what I would do with the suicide squad:
1. Have the cast be full of C-Z list villains.
I understand the desire to put more popular villains on the list for marketing purposes, but right now the market is over saturated with Harley Quinns and Deaddhots, and after the failure of kill the justice league, you might want to differentiate this version of the squad a bit. Not to mention this gives you the potential create new fans of your lesser known villains, just look at peacemaker.
2. Have some societal/political commentary, but don’t take things too seriously either.
The whole point of the suicide squad is that there are a illegally operating task force funded by the military to do things they can’t do on the books, so inherently the group is going to have a political edge to it. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with the concept. You can poke on at military intelligence or have some bad guys they’re going up against the made to mock dictators. I don’t think it would take too much imagination to fill in the blanks of what kind of missions they could go on.
3. Actually have them become friends over in a natural way.
Super villains are naturally going to look out for their self interest, so at the beginning, they should be more than willing to let their teammates die if it means they live. But as they get to know each other and realize they really need to depend on each other if they want to survive, they should grow a bond and by the end some of them can be legitimate friends, while others still would be willing to let others die for their own survival
4. DON’T HAVE THEM KILL BATMAN. (this one is self-explanatory. All that’s going to do is piss off the fans and make them hate the group. If they ever have to fight Batman, I would make it clear that the suicide squad does not stand a chance against Bruce and they’re only hope is to escape or stop Batman from getting enough proof to shut down task force X.)
What's crazy is that The Suicide Squad were originally WW2 soldiers before all the supervillain stuff

I really don't get why Suicide Squad became this popular to begin with. Ever since James Gunn made his own Suicide Squad film. It instantly became popular, and not to mentioned the big named stars like John Cena and Margo Robbie made these D-Listed characters popular.
More popular than Batman and Superman. Heck these are the D listers who took out the Justice League. Still won't get over the death of Arlham Batman.

Not only Deadshot, but remember Nick Fury? Dude was always white in the comics since his debut, and now suddenly after Samuel Jackson he's a black dude and they even made him black in the comics! Name me a single character that was originally black, but now is white from the comics, oh right they can't do that due to the backlash... The way they made Deadshot white in Akham City and then suddenly changed his race in SQKTJL and their excuse was "Oh that was the fake deadshot" still baffles my mind how they excuse these things and everyone just goes a long with it... In Arkham Origins deadshot was a beast, he could make a sniper shot from like one city to another and perfectly hit in windy conditions, apparently that's not a deadshot, but just a fake? Like mf we just saw him demonstrating deadshot's abilities... Shit is lazy writing

So i just watched the first 3 episodes, it just came out today.
It's not the best, but it's good. A lot better than Kill the Justice League but that's probably because it isn't connected to anything. We didn't even see no Batman in Episode 1 where we're in their world. It's so disconnected but that probably gonna help.
Just wish we didn't get the A-Listers of the team tho. Or, the non-powered ones. We have Clayface which does get expanded on, Harley and Deadshot I get. But a few more no names or powerhouses would've been cool. Even if they were just gonna die to show the seriousness (of which we seem to lack but it wasn't trying there to begin with.)
Overall, fun so far. Probably have to turn your brain off a little but fun nonetheless.
We legit have more bullshit Harley content than Wonder Woman, I hate this timeline.

Like a funny thing about Harley is that she was originally from a cartoon and was popular enough to be in the comics.

I mean the DCAMU SS movie was pretty good, so I got hopes for this.
Man I really do hope that the suicide squad anime is good but I really want to lesson to it in English and they didn't even reveal a English cast for it just the Japanese cast and the only English actors I want to hear are Tara Strong for Harley Quinn and John Cena for Peacemaker.
Here are some problems I had with the trailers
1. The Joker won't be apart of Task force X his scenes will only be featured in flashbang moments or past scenes similar to Suicide Squad from 2016
2. Peacemakers design looks not good but if John Cena is voicing the character then I can let it slide
3. Having Clayface be a Guy instead of the big monster clay beast that he is and in Batman Arkham City he can take forms of people but having him just be a Guy is just not right
Final one 3. This one is not really a problem but I do know that a lot of the so-called fans of hers can be and that is Hololive vtuber Mori calliope being the Outro singing voice for the ending of the episodes
If your not following what goes on X Mori calliope has alot of so called fans called antis that like to hate on Mori and tried to get her fired on multiple occasions but Mori calliope is just to popular and every time when she becomes involved with something the antis are quick
