This happens a LOT

My idea because she knew the house wasnt hers imao
EXACTLY! Now that it’s been bought, the new owners are going to make her pay rent, so she’s going to have to come up with money for housing now. I WISH I could live somewhere rent free for ONE year, I’d have the down payment for my own house!

I am a Persom she was living free the house looked broken down the playroom had a 60s tv looks like she was unemployed all that time
She didn't want to purchase the home for $7,500.00 which is cheap. That tells you that she hasn't saved any money living rent free. Smh
Okay that may be true but she is a single mother with children wow we dont know her full story have a heart people! It didnt used to be like this people wanted better for one another.Just like it says in the bible in the last days men's hearts will grow cold for one another..they'll loose natural affection for one another..
The only time I've EVER had even close to that amount of money is when tax refunds come in, and I also don't have to pay rent. I also only make about $1,000 a mth and have 3 kids. It's no one's damn business what she's saved and what she hasn't. Maybe she did at one point and something came up. What a rude and judgemental comment!! Especially since MANY people cannot afford anything else BUT rent, they obviously haven't saved any money either, because they can't!
@@amorrissey9264 I understand, I'm thankful that I have a mortgage.

I bet her neighbors started hating her right after this was aired.
@Reerei Dia Yes, and then the last price of $7500 was too much for her.
@Reerei Dia I find that very odd. The bank ended up selling to an investor in Singapore no less. Real estate and mortgage lending are shady. She never had a chance anyhow. A foreign bidder without money issues can swoop up anything. It happened to my friends apartment in Rio De Janeiro. She lives in Impanema Beach. Chinese investors buying up condos in her building. They have more money to blow.
You can tell she got too comfortable. That house looks kind of bad, she could’ve fixed it up and made it something.
She didn't own the house--capital improvements are made by the landlord.
You cannot “make” money selling a home for which you do not hold the title.
Additionally, if she did not report the housing as part of her income, she committed tax fraud.

Just imagine the mental maturity of the child she's raising and her understanding of financial responsibility..
Yes... Not everyone has $7500 at their disposal. But... if she didn’t save anything, go to the bank and get a loan.

She will be lucky if it's not twice that a year. If she had saved a couple hundred a month all those yrs she could've bought the house, covered escrow, & had plenty to do all the repairs. I wonder if she could have fought back under squatter's rights?

9 years no rent and she didn't have 7500 to buy the house....🤔🤔🤔
kingshawn1214 hello??!!!! Smdh
Exactly what I was thinking!
One would think after 9 years of no incident they wouldn't need to set aside large amounts of money. The 7500 may have been out of her budget, she did try to buy it twice, but the last time they made the price higher than she could afford...
you ever live in Indianapolis?
kingshawn1214 that’s what’s I’m saying wtf
I would have done the same thing. The house would have sat empty and been rotting so what is the problem.
zztimemom mom exactly!!!
Just like so many amazing houses do. It's a damn shame. I would give anything to build a lovely home in an abandoned home.
The problem is that she lived rent free for 9 years then when offered under $8,000 to buy the house which was just the taxes that were owed she didn't have it so you would think after 9 years of no rent she would have saved up enough to buy a much nicer house. Even if she saved only $100 a month she would have $108,000 wtf is wrong with this lady for real if I was given that long rent free I'd have a lot of money saved.
If she only saved 100 month she would have 10,800 in 9yrs however still get the point. I would save got out debt, pay my school loans lol.
Which I do anyways but would done a lot faster.
I would have taken out a loan, sold stuff, gotten a second job etc if it meant i could legally own the house ive been staying in rent free for 10 years. Should have saved smh
if 7500 for a house is "too steep" you failed in life

When you have children, saving isnt very easy. Unless you are fortunate enough to make six figures a year, you have to live in the real world.
Ok lets be clear on this Christopher, she first was "homeless" and started living free there before even having children, some things in life need to be done before the others, like having your own roof over your head before bringing new life to this world.

@fakeplasticbees Agreed. That's why job training is probably better for her. She could be a secretary, paralegal, electrician, plumber, network engineer, etc.
@fakeplasticbees I paid $200k in cash child support. Was nearly homeless a few times. His mother was happy to take the money and lived very well.
the amount of empty houses is insane here in America, I live in Detroit....I seen a homeless guy, fix basically a shell into a home he didnt have a job because he didnt have a address so he did this to get back on his feet. He borrow tools and neighbors donated dry wall, and fixtures for him. He got a job a few months ago and when to see if he could find out the history of the house and the city end up giving him the house and he looks happy....he told me he was on his last straw when he was living on the streets and took this gamble...cant say I blame him
I think that with run-down and forgotten properties if a homeless person with a motivated attitude- or even a few homeless roommates that can work together to fix it up want to do so-- they should have some kind of process to allow it, monitor improvements for safety, and maybe look in on them for the first year or so to make sure things are okay for them. I live in a neighborhood where furniture and all sorts of things are tossed out. Half the people i know got most of their furniture for free. There are also lots of surplus type places where you can get plumbing, electrical, etc. It wouldn't hurt a thing and it would help depressed neighborhoods. But it makes sense, so I doubt it will ever happen.

I'm actually happy for her lol
Wait, what? $7500 and she couldn't snap that up after living rent free for years?
I would have grabbed that.
OnGodspath right!!! Get a loan or something
Shay Taylor She shouldnt have need a loan if she was saving her money for 9 years she could have bought the house free and clear
Shea Hinton agreed
OnGodspath I want a free house. Those news interviewer people seem to be upset
Hope it is rent to own!!
He wasn't really being condensing she was being stupid when she replied 'no' to it being too good to be true. I mean who gets to live rent free. Come on now.
She was care taking! It’s being done ALL the time here in Mexico in this tourist area! You stay for free and take care of the house! It keeps VANDALS from destroying the home!
Wow. What a missed opportunity. Planning for the long term beats living for the moment any day
Preach!!
Exactly!
Amen
I can't fathom why she couldn't save or at least have enough assets to come up with 7500.00
Kids. My wife and I never had kids. It's amazing how much extra money you have each month when you don't have 3 kids to take care of. Ah, freedom!
Facts
You really don’t know what her expenses were. Don’t even waste your time speculating it’s not genius or helpful.
@@therealtampadude9175 I don't think not having kids its freedom .
@@therealtampadude9175 It's as if there isn't MASSIVE tax relief for people with kids.
Food stamps, and other welfare benefits. Along with no rent she should of had money just lying in wait.
To bad she lost out on a house for 7.5k lol. Now she has to pay rent aand pay that much every year.
The lucky get dumb, and the dumb never get smart.

Pisses me off when my husband and I worked so hard to buy our land and home and the mortgage company swindled us out of everything and the flip side is this it's rediculss
9 years rent free?... I'd have a nice savings account to start fresh!
Vee C. I imagine a lot would with that safety net.
Vee C. She's Black what you think .
Ja Ja Her being black has nothing to do with it. She's just financially irresponsible (not saving money) and lacks good decision making (having a kid before being ready )
Anthony Turner 9 YEAR'S and she can't save 7500 . And still don't have any money to fix the house . You is 100 % right because I just watched 6 other post , and it look like That's a new trend around the nation , and many of them are poor white Tash , and one was making 100k a year . I wish her will these new folks , want thier 💰 it's a hustle
+Ja Ja
I think you are an imbecile.
All those years with no rent I would think you should have at least 7500 put back in savings.
Super_squishy_awesomeness _ was thinking did she work and save that money
Freeloading at its finest! Then stop having kids lady and living off the govt.! Sorry, just my two cents.
Sue Pete I guess you didn't hear the part about the Job she had?
She wasn't living off the government, fool and didn't have more than 1 kid!
Sue Pete... did you watch the video?
$7500 for a 3 bedroom house! Damn!
Damn $7500! Id be on that ASAP
I would have borrowed $7500, pronto! She's lazy and slow.
@@tisha954 she probably either has no credit or bad credit
Not mad she had a place to stay for free but, did she at least stack her paper, the money that would normally go towards rent? Nine years worth, I guess not. smh😒
pasadena19 u sure is right? I ain't mad at her. Oh well... But she should've saved up on some money.
Yep she should have saved, I would have cause I would not have trusted not to save, being able to stay rent free is to good to be true,I know she now feels bad she didn't save
pasadena19 right shoud of saved up
pasadena19 A 3 bedroom house in Indianapolis would cost at least $900 a month over the course of those 9 years. That comes out to a little over 97k saved during that time span. Damn near 100k saved on rental costs. She should def have some money saved up.
You sound like a hater
$7500 to steep?! 9 Years free rent???!! Why didn't she save her money???!!
Well with 3 kids, having to buy food, pay for medical and dental services, school for her kids, keeping the house up to date. And water, electricity, heating Bill's..... why do you think
@@edwardjones7313 it's not that expensive you dolt
@@edwardjones7313 she lived there for NINE YEARS,kids don't require. Soo much material stuff only your time and since she was working at a rental agency I doubt she was living off of minimum wage

Thy God be the glory continually for her, her family and all of us. Anything's possible with everything. It will be a blessing for all Americans to have the opportunity like her even better.
Good for her! Those homes sitting empty should be occupied, otherwise they fall in disrepair! Why is everyone so angry with her?? Frankly, Wells Fargo Bank should giver her an interest free loan!
Humanity is devolving into sociopathic robots that aspire to be as emotionless and soulless as ants.
TM" Why should she get a interest free loan?
I agree wiv u, can't believe all those bitchie comments stating othereise, not bein real are they ☺👍
A lot of people aren't mad about the free rent. Its the fact she has no savings to buy a home for 7500.
Never let news media interview u for free
Amen. Final say on final cut
It's always about money, we humans are so greedy
@ hung solo: Yep! She should have charged them $7500!
hung solo Right!!
Cause they'll find away to make you pay. LOL
My god 7500...where can i buy a house for that????
Harry Flashman I read where One guy bought 3 houses for $ 2,500 one house $150.00
One of my coworker bought a 5 room, 2 story house with about 2 acres for 12k at an auction
there.
Harry Flashman back taxes and unknown problems usually make it unworth it
Carlos Ruiz where was that?
I'm more disturbed that after 9 years, she didn't have $7500 saved up to buy the place. Or better yet, take out a loan and get the money.
People saying she should have saved obviously don't know how much child care is.
If she didn't stay the house would of been in ruins by now. That's 9 years of repairs and upgrades.
Yeah, people act as if she was homeless or something. But, they forget she made attempts to buy it, just that it kept getting pulled. People need to be more grateful of their circumstances.
Oh please. Upgrades where? The appliances lmao

I had to stop and rewind just to know that I heard that correctly.
9 years of rent-free living didn't allow her to save $7500? that's a little over $800 a year that she only needed to save to own the home
I need a blessing like this! Such a wonderful story.
How, after 9 years of no rent payments, did she not have $7,500 to buy the house?
She seems like one of those people who think they’re entitled to everything. Thats why she didnt save.
Was my very first question when I heard the asking price
So let me get this straight: she had the opportunity to purchase the house for $7,500 but declined??🤦🏾♂️
She didn't have the money. $7500 was to steep after 10yrs rent free?!
Yep, buy it and ya gotta pay taxes n insurance. Now imagine a plaque or war n the mass housing surplus-real estate investors would pay for tenants. For now landlords rape tenants where income is greater n supported by local government through higher property tax. Keeping income down an rent high yeilds more section 8 housing. Correct-government serves the minority rich through repression of the majority. Now you know why for every government representative there exist 6 lobbyist. Yep-for every dollar handed out for aid 8 has to be raised in taxes or borrowed. Now ya know why public debt is beyond control or ability to be paided without devaluing money through inflation. All of this has been made possible by the Feds since LBJ's "Great Society". This greed has transformed this nation from the world's police for peace into one of the most aggressive invaders . This explains why global hatred toward America gas grown.
.
Carlos Collins They xan give homeless people abonded homes an hotels while hiring people to fix them up at the same time.
Shes an idiot, now shes has to pay month which will eventually add up to $7500 lol
She didn't "decline" to purchase - she just didn't have that much to spend, so she couldn't purchase.
It's not really that hard to understand, is it?
This happened to me as a REALTOR with a family at CHURCH! The home was going into foreclosure while they were renting. They were obligated to pay the landlord, the owners, but once they learned that the owners were going into foreclosure, they stopped paying because ‘we didn’t know who to pay.’ They are still in leadership at the church despite arbitration with more senior pastors who told them to right this wrong! They did NOT!
Those pastors get free handouts from people and never have to cry about money and never pay taxes. They have no concept of how society functions when you have to work for money and be at risk of losing it all. Especially with so many foreign investors doing land grabs. You just keep your mouth shut and do not say anything. As soon as some pencil pusher at the city gets notice to dig into that property, you can bet they will be gone instantly. You can only hope it will get buried in paperwork and not see the light of day. My city is only now demolishing abandoned houses that have sat over 20 years with nobody living in them. They never bothered to check if they were occupied this whole time and just let them go to waste until they were too far gone to save.
Pretty house. Someone always trying to take your roof over your heads. Usually these people didn't even build the house. i hope she keeps her home and get deeds to the house.
that was not a good ending, a good ending would have been she bought the house for 7500 bucks!
I just don't get that.

I think its awesome she was blessed with a home for 9 years but I think it's terrible she didn't take care of the home, and she did not have money saved up that she couldn't afford to buy it for $7500 (that's less then a year worth of rent in most places) What was she doing all this time?! That part made me not feel sorry for her
Violet Carson probably sympathy

_MaryJanesFlowers at the end of the day I don't care what she has going on she know she is staying in a house for free that's not hers and that at anytime someone can come and take it. She should have saved up for at least a year worth of rent incase she ever got kicked out. 9 years mannn there is no excuse
