Nice build I think one of the better serenity builds without modding or glitching. Two points I’d say would be good to add a scanner jammer so you can smuggle cargo easier also use ballistic turrets like Mal uses against the reavers in the film. I’m going to give this build a go in my game thanks for putting it together.
Yeah, I was re-watching the series with my daughter (her first time seeing it), and we hadn't yet got to the movie. After I made this video, I watched the movie, where he used the turret, and he painted it with blood, and stuck bodies all over it. And I thought, "MAN it really would have been cool to have done this in Reaver colors." And imagine a mod where you could display bodies all over your ship! Thank you for the kind words, and yeah, I realized after the fact that I forgot to add the Scan Jammer. Might be worth revisiting in a short video some time in the future. And one more thing, I do try to avoid glitching as much as possible. Not because I think there is anything wrong with it. I just know there are some people who don't like glitching, or would rather not use it, so I try to make my ships accessible to everyone. But I have seen some really beautiful ships out there using glitches.
The bridge of Serenity is actually quite larger than it seems. At the end of the movie, "Serenity," when Mal is talking to River, she is sitting at one control station, and he is sitting in Wash's control station. So, there are at least two, side-by-side. I also wanted to imitate the slope at the fore end of the cockpit, while keeping it in proportion to the rest of the ship. And I wanted to have as big of a ship as I could build, so I could have a true cargo bay, and a mess hall. For these reasons I chose the Cabot bridge. I have seen other people's versions of Serenity on r/starfieldships, and they use cockpits that are a little closer to the actual Serenity, but they are also much smaller ships.
I believe I mentioned it in the video. But maybe I didn't communicate it that well. The bridge and landing gear come from either Hope Tech on Polvo in the Valo System, or New Homestead on Saturn's moon, Titan. I always get Hope Tech and Nova confused. I believe they're Nova, which would be on Titan. The 3x2 habitats come from Stroud-Ecklund showroom on Volii, or the Stroud-Ecklund Staryard in the Narion system. The engines, grav drive, and reactor are also Stroud-Ecklund. I hope that helps. Everything else is built on your outpost.
