@@CMDREagle131 I hope so, I will definitely try to add it later this week and will respond back if it works. Awesome video and build btw and thanks for replying.
@@brandonchambers5397 Yeah I don't see any reason to worry. The SVF mod is supposed to be a plug and play deal, from how I understand. I know in my testing of ships, I've not reset the SVF mod once, but have continuously been adding my single ship mods to the load order. Sometimes they don't immediately appear at the vendor, but either waiting a few in game days or quitting the game and reloading works for me usually!
Thank you! I do love building ships, and I also really enjoying creating videos. It's been quite some time since I put on shows like these (i used to make videos like these years ago but not for my channel) so it's been awesome getting back into the editing suite and actually making videos for my own channel!! Let me know how the build goes. I had to do the builder segment slightly different since the layout of this ship is in 3 parts, so any feedback will be appreciated! Happy building, see you in the 'Field.
Amazing build , would be interesting to see something on the other end of the spectrum, smaller , compact and fast , just the necesities , armed to the teeth , crew of 3 to 5
@16:16 one additional note, and this may be a console only thing (not 100% sure), but after you've gotten the glitched part placed, you can reselect it and it should turn green and allow "true" connection to that point. You won't be able to move it out of place and back, but you can select it as if to edit without moving and then press accept again to make sure it's part of the build. Just another method to verify. But your "select all" works too. I just prefer to see it green to make sure it's good.
Your builds are absolutely phenomenal! Love the role play aspect you put into them - there's still a bit of one here too IMO and will look forward to future content. Cheers and o7!
Thank you! So I actually had Stroud engine mounts next to the HopeTech cross braces originally, but they were taken out after I refitted the Hope 55 landing gear there. Never tried the Deimos ones though, that's a good idea. When I finally retire in NG+10, I am planning on rebuilding all my favorite ships and I might slap those bad boys on NG+10 Scintillant! Thanks!
IDK why in the hell Bethesda thought to make those loadings into everywhere, cause its obvious that interior of the ship is within the same space as the outer world. Performance issue with to many movable selfstanding objects?
Yeah I think you're right there. Also probably has something to do with NPC crew. They already freak out when you dock with a ship and there's hostiles on the other side. I'm wondering if Bethesda just decided to keep the ship interior mostly separate due to AI confusion? I'd love to see official support for hostiles boarding your ship though :D
@@ezakiil yeah it would be so cool. My tinfoil hat theory is that we may get that as an official update someday. Im basing that of course, off the fact that our Npc crew gets aggro'd whenever we dock and have a fight on board another ship or station. We will see though!
Indeed. For now, I am purposely staying away from mods no matter how tempting it is! Still enjoying (mostly) following the rules regarding ship building....aside from the glitching of course.
Most of the shipbuilding mods work great but there are some that I would stay away from. I'm running 212 mods until this last patch and now it's so laggy you can't play the game.
@@IceMan2035yeah I get paranoid about that, one reason why i am keeping my mods to a minimum. I think the only one I use is Star UI. The rest are either scripts or bats that run console commands. If it's anything else, they're just simple replacer mods. Trying to keep a light footprint with the modding for now if i can lol. My past Bethesda games have been like yours, running over 100 mods,
Check out DerekM17x mod he's made a cannon that I'm going to use for a rail gun in place of the docker. He's got some cool stuff I'm sure you'll find inspiration from. There's a lot to his mod pack.
I built this ship... Then a funny glitch happened. I kept getting these error messages about storing Save files (to the Steam Cloud). So at one point, the game wasn't sure about the build, and when I took off only a small spine section actually took off. Sadly I didn't think to take a screenshot (I was pissed because of all the error messages). Eventually I moved this game off the Steam Cloud and now I'm not having those issues.
Lol thats nuts! The steam cloud saving thankfully hasn't given me much grief, but I usually make manual saves along side of the autosaves JUST in case. Steam cloud seems to only upload the starfield autosaves
Mine only do that as well. I just did a test, and I think it's because I might have used the Grav Dash power as i always do, to reach the ship builder pad lol. My damage was 40 ish like yours, and then after I used Grav Dash, my damage went back up to 60. So it appears that the short damage buff applied after a Grav Dash cast also counts for ship weapon systems 🤣
Love your ship build videos. But as a Navy veteran, it bothers me that you say star-board and not star-bird. I just wish my character had enough credits at the moment to buold one of your ships
Haha I had no idea that 'star-bird' was how everyone says it! I had a similar lesson long ago when I said "four-castle" in front of someone who was a sailor and I got made fun of 😂 I shall keep that in mind moving forward :D
Don’t know what level you are or where you’ve got your perks - but I followed a guy’s video on a Vytinium mine and that’s a great way to get credits Also, going to Serpentis and disabling/boarding/stealing the level III ships, then looting the people inside - is a great way to get credits fairly quickly. For the ship stealing/looting method, get your commerce up to level 4. Very easy to do by just selling all the random “misc” stuff that goes to your cargo when you steal ships For the Vytinium method, Wise Old Wizard has a great video on the vytinium mine. I was already level 60 and on NG+ when I saw it and decided to work on it, so my leveling took a little while, but killing all the ships on Serpentis got me a ton of XP to level up quickly enough so I could put perks where I needed to. And that farm is my fastest money maker to date. About $100k credits in just about 15 real time minutes, including gathering the materials (for me). That IS selling my stuff on Kryx’s Key, though. Which is much faster, but requires you to either side with Crimson, or to have not yet completed that quest line.

Can your mod of this ship be added mid playthrough if you have the framework mod added from the start?
@brandonchambers5397 yes, it should work.
