Picked up a Chimera III from a space battle between Sys and Fleet. Saved the Chimera for last. It’s a phenomenal ship. Upgraded weapons a bit and it rips. Actually prefer it over my Hyena III
The high hull comes from the reactor, that 36 power reactor has 1950 hull, its like 600 hull above any other reactor, it is unlocked at lvl 52 and requires lvl4 ship design skill.
Dragonfire looks way better with its wider aft. I had to buy one and refit it with the best shields, weapons, Stroud-Eukland habs, and some shielded cargo modules from the Key 😊. I might equip it with the Com Spike and sell my Narwhal.
@@GarthVonMaraner Yep, it's my go to purchase early game. I run a bunch of bounty hunting contracts and then pick one up. I just love the look and the cockpit. Great name, too.
i would not put the hyenas so high it's pretty disapointing when you get the first C-class and its useless because it can't travel anywhere with the grav drive it has (or you delete all cargo) in general, grav > reactor/weapons - gravs are extremely lvl locked, and some fewer power points dont matter - so in that way i prefer wraith III over wigth III (but imho wraithIII are scares) currently in my 5th playthrough from start - looked long for a valentine/voyager when under ~lvl35 - then gave up and snatched a chimera also, i don't like turrets when leveling, i want to have control over the dmg, and nobody has the turret perks at that time anyways - so most of the weapons are not usable for me anyways
Does Valentine's variant have significantly deferent load out than the stock voyager? Obviously you encounter Valentine all the time so it's easy to come by.
Chimera III I actually saw in just one universe, just one time at the Red Mile but I am convinced it was a bug, I don't think the ship is supposed to be on his loot list. That said, it makes a fantastic platform to build on and it really nails the Deimos aesthetic. One of my favorite class C ships.
Land in different spots on any of the level 75 planet or moon, and you can steal Vista 3s, Claymores, Wights, or Heynas and sometimes a Voyager 3.
I built the USS HairyWang, its tier 0... extremely powerful, rips apart every ship there is.

My first choice would have been Stormrider 3. But I was able to get the Chimera 3. After a few upgrades quickly became my favorite.

You can modify anything to do anything =]… for me personally the reactor is the most important thing, it all flows from there

I thought everything unlocks at level 60, but I'm missing that mark by 12 additional levels, correct?

I would assume weapons would carry, grav drive shields etc should remain unchanged depending on which variant it is
