I think Mighty has a distinct personality in SegaSonic. All 3 characters have different animations, and here we can see how they react to certain things. Also, Mighty's voice clips in that game gives an indicator to a tougher personality.
A good plot point of Ray and Mighty in Forces would have them investigate what happened to them and why they disappeared and could play an important role in the story. I think that'd be cool.
Why not bring back the other forgotten characters like Nack, Ray, Bean, and Bark? Honey is a beta character so I wouldn't know if SEGA would consider her to be an official Sonic character. The same goes for Tiara Boobowski, a concept character for the cancelled video game Sonic X-Treme. Damn it. Archie is taking all the good ideas. Honey has a business in fashion. Nack, Bean, and Bark are a rag-tag trio of michevious misfits. Ray and Mighty are a part of the Chaotix.
