This was easily my favorite trailer at Comic Con. Well, I guess everyone has their own opinions though. The majority consensus seems very positive on this trailer.
masamune2984 BVS was miles ahead of anything for me. Suicide squad was a brilliant teaser that brought something fresh and crazy to the genre... Second on my list, then the x men apoc. trailer.

The Enchantress interests me the most in this movie. I know nothing about the character comic-wise, but I'm digging the transformation she goes through.
***** I keep reading that at least in some adaptations she is possessed by a demon to get her powers. That + the tone of this movie may fit together perfectly. I also have a feeling that the Enchantress may be one of the threats in the movie. We don't see her in any of the team shots.

SuperFinch Disagree. This was meant for all the people who spent countless nights sleeping outside of Comic-Con, who bought tickets, transpo, lodging to see this stuff exclusively.
Superhero News Okay but why can't everyone enjoy it? It seems like they are alienating their other fans who may not be able to attend Comic Con for whatever reason. Even if it was just an hour after being shown at Comic Con can't everyone win then? They get to see the trailer before everyone else and the rest of the world gets to enjoy to just a short time after?
SuperFinch I mean we still got to see a bad ass Batman v Superman trailer. That's the movie WB really wanted to focus their marketing on. Though now they are forced to market a movie that is more than a year away with a 3 minute trailer.

SuperFinch This can be debatable, but WB could have been hesitant to release both trailers at the same time because the Suicide Squad trailer would have inevitably taken attention away from the Batman v Superman trailer. I could be wrong, but I know WB doesn't want to mess up their marketing for their biggest movie of 2016 (BvS).

Miguel Ong Watch the Batman v. Superman reaction video, and he says the trailer is so awesome, it's going to set up a solid foundation for ALL DC movies, he's all excited and shit. And then for SS (a DC movie), he's Mr. Negativity.

I can't see a film called "Suicide Squad" not being R rated.
I still don't get how this trailer could be called flat. If you dont get anything out from the trailer, if you don't know what it is about, what the tone is, that is a flat trailer. Although we dont have anything else to go through currently story-wise, at least the trailer gave us a glimpse of what it is going to be. As for Harley Quinn, I doubt she's completely crazy.

I want dark humor, and Boomerang, Harley, and the joker provide that.
The tone is like a horror/gothic/gangster take on the comic book genre, and I LOVE IT. There was a guy wearing a baby mask, a panda mask, and a animated batman mask... That's plenty fun for me.
I thought Harley made this trailer, and joker gave the pay off.

To me, "fun" doesn't mean what everyone wants it to mean. You don't have to pack a movie with jokes, have everything all bright, and end fights with a dance off to be fun. I had fun with Dark Knight, why? Cause it was a good movie.
You can be serious and entertaining simultaneously.
Retro bats I agree, I don't think a movie revolving around serial killers, rapists, and "the worst of the worst" should have fun attached to it. If these awful people started throwing around jokes and having a good time (like Avengers, for example), it would be an insult to the severity of the subject matter, like the writers are trying to make the Squad relatable. I should be watching this and wondering how these people are so fucked up.

What connection is he looking for? That's pretty much the point of this comic. They're not supposed to work together, till they are.
Joker is torturing Harleen Quinzel. Look back at it and there's a scene where Quinzel is strapped down with a leather belt in her mouth and Joker standing by her head looking down at her and touching her face.
We didn't look back at it until after we were done filming. First impression, first reaction.

You gotta give it a chance, this wasn't even suppose to be a trailer, I was very skeptical about leto's joker but when I heard hot talk and seem in on screen I excited to see more. I am still skeptical about Harley but I'm not going to judge this movie before i see it. I respect your opinion and I love all the vids you guys do!!!! thanks for replying to me!!!! I'm not saying you but in general people are always looking for any little thing they can find to bash a movie or say it's terrible and I hate that. People should really learn to just sit back and enjoy a movie, not try to find every little thing wrong with it.

I'm confused at the critisism of a trailer with no dialogue,!its a first trailer, and when the teaser for Star Wars came out everyone was raving about how good it was, and it literally had no dialogue

The trailer was everything I wanted. It was weird, dark, and fun. Suicide Squad is dark humor but at the same time they make you feel for them. Im getting that from the trailer snd thats what Suicide Squad is about.
I hate how people dislike the video just because someone didn't think the trailer was good.
I freaking loved the trailer, maybe a little more than the BvS one. It could be because I'm a sucker for these tone setting trailers with eerie covers of classic songs, but everything that was on screen was perfect for me. The latest BvS trailer sold me on the mature and more realistic tone they're setting for the DCEU, and this trailer matched that perfectly, in my opinion. I'm not expecting it to be fun or lighthearted, but rather intense and telling a story about bad people being forced to do the right thing and the mistakes that happen there. Agustin, I respect your opinion and hope they release something in the future to excite you, but I am beyond hyped for this movie. Great reaction as always guys!
I think it's great to have a wide variety of opinions, because it makes for interesting discussions and I think it's healthy to have multiple perspectives on things.

This is why I love this channel, honest opinions great thoughts. As a trailer this is very flat but as a teaser it's exactly like the first BvS teaser, some quick small scenes and a big line in the end. Keep it up guys and keep it real!!!

At first I also didn't get too excited about it, as compared to the BvS trailer. But I kept coming back to it. And now, I think it has something very deep in it. Harley and the Joker, their stories, their character, the actors playing them, Will Smith, David Ayer... My excitement only rose.

If you watch the trailer and pause it you can see a point during it that Harley (as the doctor before becoming harley quinn) is strapped to a table and you can see the tattoos of the joker. The Joker is also wearing Arkham Asylum pants, the words Arkham are on his pants. That is Harley's back story about Joker torturing her.
you can tell Agustin has already made his mind up that he doesn't like it, so now he will find something in each trailer to justify his opinion!
Leto`s performance looks like it`s inspired from Nicholson in The Sinning. {which is awesome}
Adam's right, this was essentially a reel, a first look at the characters in motion, no more no less. Therefore I will hold judgment until a real full length trailer is released. That being said, I'm not as over the moon as I was with the BVS trailer, but I'm still looking forward to it.
Thank for your thoughts about it. I for one still get Goosebumps the second this " trailer" begins - the same way I get chills whenever I watch the BvS trailer. Till 2019 so many movies will tell pieces of an epic proportional story and I'm certain that all of us will be satisfied with at least one of them. The First on our list will be Deadpool in February 2017, and hopefully around that time we'll know more about Skwad (as the crew calls their project now. They even got the same Skwad tattoo now - go figure!). I love watching vids like this one and read what others have to say, but like with so many.movies I'll just wait and see and hopefully get a (big) surprise in the end. On to.your next vids, guys!

Andrew Edwards Are all the torture shots (there's at least 4) from the same scene? I think the last three are from the same scene, but can you see anything in the earlier torture shot (e.g., same walls, lamp) with Harleen to verify that it's the same scene?
I also thought of the theory of joker torturing Dick, but, if you watch the trailer again you do see shots where you can see, its actually torturing Harley.

Totally get where Auggy is coming from with the "meh" feeling. I can somewhat agree with him on that.
I only wish we got to hear more speaking. I'm super curious as to where Margot's voice will fall. Will she mimick Tara Strong, try to do her own thing or find some middle ground. Not a fan of the costume either to be honest but that's a whole other thing.
Atmosphere wise it felt good like it's what I expected.
I've got high hopes for this lol.

It's a very complicated situation, isn't it? Kind of sucks for Ayer and WB that people are judging their film based on footage created solely for the SDCC audience. It's NOT a trailer. It's just a first look. The intention was to reward the SDCC audience with some footage. Surely this isn't how they wanted the whole world to see their film for the first time.
On the other hand, it sucks for people living outside of America if this footage is exclusive to the SDCC audience. I'd love to go, but being in Australia, i just can't. I work most days and I still don't have the money. I saved and saved but just couldn't do it. I can't be there. It has nothing to do with me not putting in the effort. So it's rather narrow minded to say "too bad" to those who can't be there. It's more complicated than that.
So yeah, they need to find another way. Do what Star Wars did and reward the fans who made it out with a unique experience that can't be replicated by bootleg footage. Did WB honestly think no one would leak it? They should also take a little blame for not rewarding the people who camped out with something more than just footage and panels. I hope CC can sort it all out moving forward.
Anyway, great stuff once again guys.
I am looking forward to this and feel confident that the actors will do a very good job bringing the madness and darkness to the screen. We will get to know them much more and with a solid storyline and some background on each character this will be a summer winner. The movie has a long way to go but i love what they have shown us and honestly it is so refreshing than another Marvel movie

I totally respect that DC is going in the exact opposite direction than Marvel. It's the perfect way to go to distance themselves from the "rival" company. Bubblegum vs. Werthers Original, ground chuck vs. tbone steak, Sprite vs. Vodka!
I'm excited to see them in action. The operative word being ACTION. I hope when the trailer is released it has more energy and a little more humor while maintaining gravity. I also hope that they show us that these are TRULY dangerous people.

Well Marvel also has properties like the Thunderbolts, Masters of Evil, the Cabal, Serpent Society, Wrecking Crew, Dark Avengers, and Sinister Six that they could adapt to the big screen in some capacity.
Josh Rock I could definitely see Thunderbolts or Dark Avengers heading their own movie.
All the others, I would leave to be villain teams that heroes fight in their own movies. I've been against the idea of a Sinister Six movie since it was rumored at Sony. I think that movie wouldn't work without Spider-Man as the lead.

Trying to not get over hyped about this film until i see another trailer. At the moment it sets the right tone for this kind of movie as this film is full of Villians which is very unique. Would like to know what kind of plot they're going for...
The movie hasn't even finished filming. This trailer was shown only for people at Comic-Con but after someone leaked it on the internet, WB decided to officially release it. The full trailer will come out either by the end of the year or next year, but next year is most likely.

well hold on now, think about it. Even though that happened in the comics, it might be a interesting story and something new. Instead of killing Jason the joker physically and mentally tortures him for months/years to the point where he has birthed and formed a new joker. The joker could be knocking on deaths door , and he breaks Jason so he can take his place. With joker knowing full well that this will torture and affect batman for the rest of his life....... Making this new joker a more interesting villain for batman to face.......
MrHero17 they won't do it for several reasons:
1. You will waste the origin of the joker (also its already hinted in latest suicide squad photos) and you will spoil the mystery of the character
2. You will waste the character of jason todd/ Red hood
3. Snyder stays so true to the comics like no one else (look at watchmen and man of steel)
4. You will fuck up many storylines they can adapt and apparently the killing joke, death in the family is already in bvs.

This trailer is absolutely amazing, the song was creepy and went with the trailer.
I prefer this to the Batman v Superman one, this is more intriguing both are great but this was a complete pleasant surprise. And Margot Robbie looks incredible
All I know is,their is going to be SO many flash backs in this film AND BvS. Kind of have to though with all these characters and introductions, kind of have to be cut short to stuff them all in i suppose.

And I thought the trailer was really great, this is a group of villains, they don't see to be working together, the trailer show the they are been forced to do that, and you know that's not gonna work in the end, and god, Leto looks AWESOME as the Joker, the other Joker's performance were majestic, but if you think about it, this Joker is the only one ultil now that you can believe that beat Robin to death with a crowbar... The reason you don't feel a connection to the characters is because the trailer didn't show tons on action scenes and comedic one-liners like in Age of Ultron.
When ilfirst heard they were making a suicide squad movie I was pumped but this first look was kind of meeh. Although I did like Harley I feel she was what made the first look for me. We will see what comes with the trailer later on

THIS is the tone Ayer wanted. I'm so pissed we got the light hearted version. I like the one we got but I've got to admit it felt forced like in the middle of production they decided to make it light hearted. People kept complaining & complaining & complaining. Now we got a unfinished product. Also I noticed Hector says he wants this to be the Guardians of the Galaxy of DC that's EXACTLY the problem this is a damn SUICIDE Squad. I mean yes BVS was dark and Suicide Squad was gonna be dark but then we'd be getting Wonder Woman light heartedness showing DC's diversity. I blame all the Marvel fans & DC fans who complained.

This was meant to be shown only to Comicon, they only released it because they were tired of the leaks. It was meant to be only a teaser/sneak peak...not a trailer.
As usual great analysis guys ! Just a thought for Agustin : The movie will probably not happened years before MoS since they talk about Superman. There could be flashbacks eventually.
Some have claimed it takes place between MOS and BVS, which could be the case. I guess we won't really know until August 2016. Unless they decide to reveal it before.

Adam is on point, this isn't a trailer which was supposed to be marketed towards general audience, that's why WB was hesitant to release it, but it is well received regardless only because it looks so good because of the actors showing little glimpses of good performances. SS is still filming, so they can't possibly give you a taste of whole movie at this point, this footage was only put together shots they filmed yet. So judging the tone is pointless at this time, just enjoy that WB has released the HD quality.
Maybe this movie is after the BVS movie timeline with lots of flash backs?
