Would love to see the Clock Tower and Time train as builds, that would be awesome. I have the Delorean and have also purchased some upgraded printed arm pieces for the minifigs from Firestar Toys.
I am loving the DeLorean build so far, it's really good and well put together and has all the bells and whistles you would hope for, can see my streams as I build it on my channel. I was thinking the same thing about the train, maybe I should do a custom build...
I think the reason a lot of interior detail was left out was because they wanted to keep it at the same scale of the Ecto-1, and if they added all that extra detail the DeLorean would've been larger than what they wanted.
My cousin introduced me to this set about a week or two before it came out. He wasn't able to buy it but I grabbed it at midnight and spent a few days slowly building it between work and taking pictures frequently to document the build for my cousin. Had all three movies on in the background while I built it and it was honestly one of the most fun LEGO sets I've ever built! As a BTTF super fan, I couldn't be happier with it!
I hope we seen LOTS more BTTF sets and that Lego finally permanently adopts BTTF like they did with Star Wars and other films. We need a Biff set with his car and gang of friends a Griff set thats similar, a clock tower set, time train, experiment scene with Doc's truck, libians and Delorean and maybe the film booth. And of course, Marty's truck.
Also the 50s diner! Where Marty and his dad meet up. And have his dad figure and Biff and they’re definitely needs to be a figure of Einstein… oh and DOC BROWN’s mansion or workshop where Marty blows up the speakers at the beginning… and Marty’s house and the 4 x 4 truck! Oh man I can do this all day!
Completely agree with your assessment here - Lego absolutely nailed it this time! I would love to see them release some Back To The Future 3 stuff, and your idea of a Time Train that converts into a regular locomotive is fantastic.
That is such a cool set! Wish I had the money to buy it!😅 I really wish they would've made a minifig-scale version like they did with the Tumbler! I love love this set but what is up with Marty's face!?! Overall the figure looks FANTASTIC! But the face. I like the faceprints from the previous set and the Dimensions versions. Wish I could buy this. AMAZING set.
I do wish they stopped using the color rainbow inside for 18+ sets. Or sets in general. Faded instructions would be just as clear if not more. I think it could even reduce the production costs.
I agree the rainbows seem kiddish, however, the 18+ line is ultimately just a marketing thing. The sets themselves aren't necessarily more complex, and generally aren't focusing on designs only appealing or appropriate to those over 18. It's a way to sell collector oriented pieces, making the busts actually seem like a collector's item [rather than a toy], to justify prices among other things. It also importantly appeals to those who previously would not buy Lego, or haven't since their childhood, creating an audience for the newest builders in the oldest demographic. While they're pointless to many, the multicoloured insides do help the newest with the building process
@@robozxd2857 oh I didnt mean 18+ to be more complex but they do the color thing to make the build more clear, for whatever age it is, but the 18+ labels collectors sets and they shouldn't show weird colors I think. I kinda thought 18+ meant you pay 18% more for these sets. haha
I wish they added more time display stickers with the 1955 and 2015 dates. I also wish they had added train wheels for an 1885 version in addition to the 1985, 2015, and 1955 versions.
Great review! This set is amazing. I know I’d really like a Minifig scale Delorean to place on my shelf next to the Mystery Machine, Ecto-1 and 60’s Batmobile.

The last Lego set i got was actually the Voltron one which was such a thrill to build and there needs to be more sets that combine like Voltron so i am really hoping that Lego Transformers is real cause that could open the door for something like Devastator.
I just finished this. Fantastic set. I loved building it, I love looking at it as a set. I had to keep it back in the box as I didn’t want dust to settle on it.
Great video! I finally got mine yesterday, they had one available in town at my local target and I scooped it up quick. That said I never open my sets so cool to see what it looks like in all it’s glory!
Finally bought and built mine now that they're back in stock. That was one of the weirdest Lego builds I've ever done, the underpinnings are something else. The end result is great. Also a big YES on a Lego Clocktower or time train.

I love this model, I knew I need it when I saw it, two of my obsessions from childhood, LEGO and the Delorean together. With a 3rd party lightning kit it looks fantastic, I was also thinking about a magnetic levitation platform, but the weight (bit more than 1 kg) makes it hard to find a strong enough platform. However my main issues with the model that some details are easily falling apart, like the whole Mr. Fusion assembly, the metallic accent tiles on the back and the vents. Makes it hard to move the model, they should be designed to have stronger connections.
11 месяцев назад
Actually, I found a simple solution for the falling of metallic curved tile. Where the black cable crosses goes under the metallic curved tile, the structure under the metal looks like this: black, double blue x3 and single blue (this one is the problematic, holding the other curved element). If we change the order to black, single blue, double blue x3 the whole structure becomes stronger.
People have to remember it is LEGO aswell the only way of making it thinner would be to use plates and I don’t think that would’ve been as nice as what we got on the set so I’m happy with the way they look but I know others agree they could have been better :)
Considering how ironic the lights and sounds are to BTTF car. I'm very surprised that lego has not caught on and started selling light kits and audio kits. Imagine if you could hear the iconic engine sound, or the ironic door sound when you open the doors.
I ordered the set the exact day it got available on the website, and it was already out of stock. Just got it yeasterday, LEGO has been doing the work to get the production lines going apparently !
Got it on day one.A few glaring things missing. No rail wheels,no Xmas tree board behind driver, and generally a lacking interior.Gullwing doors don't stay open ,so a modification needed there.Marty has no cap from the 2nd movie ? Still a very good kit,but just lacking a few things
I bought two so that my wife and I could each build the movie type we wanted. I have to agree; Lego knocked it out of the park with this one. (My wife also agrees that a clock tower would be a welcome addition)
I got two as well. One built as the 1985 version and one as the 2015 version. Add the Dimensions Marty and Doc for the 1985 display stand, and it's as perfect as it can get. Had they included train wheels, I would've bought 3 copies.
I believe that the Black cheese slope above the Time Circuits is supposed to represent the Digital Speedometer, and the 1x1 round front flat top as the clock.
I decided to make the Mr. Fusion realistic to replace the compass with a gray colored variant, I'm just gonna pretend that that's the radio, and the black piece is the Digital Speedometer, even if it is unrealistic. (Also the vents were originally a metallic color, but in a 1990 before the film refurbishment they were colored black, the vents are both accurate and inaccurate)
