Hi Claire, I can do belting up to A/Bb below high C. From then on my voice changes mechanism but it sounds uneven with the previous notes. Some tips on how to continue working on this second passaggio and achieve a more uniform voice?
Ooo, good question. My best advice is to get a singing teacher who can help you through it. If you can't get a teacher, keep watching the videos and learning to the best of your ability, but it's pretty hard to truly learn this without a skilled teacher :)
The middle voice took me two years to develop then after that I got a coach to make sure I did it correctly. He was real surprised I figured it out. It takes time to move your resonance from your throat to the middle, but when you go sing you bridge everything. You can use a combination of chest and head or head and a cry. I love the cry it's like whaling and it makes me feel good. Especially when you do it in front of people and they're like WTF?! How can you go that high lol. Your hot btw.
