I don’t know why my mixed is so much lighter and softer than my belt. The moment I start to belt it comes out so explosively (i scared some people practicing 2 days ago, and had to stay away from my mic)

As a bass baritone, learning to do this years ago was the only way for me to really start traveling higher in my range, super useful! My teacher at the time loved my boomy chest voice, but I couldn't really tap into higher registers without straining, this forward/lightly nasal resonance really was a game changer for me, helped me learn to connect my chest voice with my head voice and not strain.

As strange as this video might be for some, I find keeping my glutes completely relaxed really helps me maintain a good support when singing. If I find that I'm not able to get a nice clean resonance, the first things I check is that I'm not keeping those muscles tight. When they are tight, I end up pushing too much air and unable to keep a gentle airflow, leading to crappy resonance and more difficulty in the higher notes.

Easier said than done.. almost impossible.. u r not the same child u used to be yrs before.. a lot many things happen over the yrs, a lot many experiences changes u, makes u closed up & hard inside.. each & every little thing that makes u a grown up cannot just be cast away.. but yeah I get ur drift....
