    In this video I show you how my 3 cell activator recipes will give different results. I used a new base paint (one with a primer in it). I was not fond of this paint and I will not continue to use it. However, the one I used here was Valspar semi gloss interior paint straight from the can with nothing added to it

    The paints I used in this video are:
    Amsterdam Turquoise Blue
    Artists Loft Light Magenta
    Artists Loft Crimson
    Artists Loft Vermillion

    The cell activators I used here are:
    1. U.S. Floetrol mixed with Amsterdam Titanium White (3 tbsp:1 tsp)
    2. U.S. Floetrol mixed with Amsterdam Titanium White (3 tbsp:1 tsp) plus 3 drops of wood conditioner
    3. AU Floetrol mixed with Amsterdam Titanium White 3 tsp:1 tsp

    So glad I came across your video. Like them all, but it makes more sense to stick to products available in the market, i.e. US floetrol.

    It's a very helpful video tutorial and it's beautiful. I would rank it to my personal preference which is the first is the Australian floetrol, the second will be the US floetrol and last ( the third )will be the one with the pre-stain wood conditioner. Let me know your preference please if you don't mind 😊

    Such a pretty color combination! It is so helpful to see the side by sides with different mediums. I am planning do dinner a bloom with students I work with in an alternative high school so they have holiday gifts for loved ones.

    Yes! I would like to see you do a tile with 50/50 Aussie Floetrol &U.S. Floetrol. If it works well, that combination would, indeed., be a better lower cost mix for a cell activator.Thank you so much for doing these tests and sharing the results with the rest of " us painting fools " !!!     Wow, I'm impressed with how little of an amount of paint you used with the pm and how effective it was, for some reason i was thinking it would take a lot more then just a lil dabble off the stir stick

    Appreciate the brevity of the video and focus on the tile.along with the comparison of activators. I'm going another direction with multiple layers and color-shifting paints but skipped the basics to pouring and this was great. (Not going to have to purchase the Aussie Flotrol since I have three American ones that I got for free and they do fine🏴‍☠)

    What do you use as a spinner and how do you stop the tile from flying off? Where did you put the wood conditioner and why? They are all very pretty and nice colours too. Thank you for sharing.

      Hi. Thanks for watching. 😃 In many of my videos I explain how I put a small amount of paint down then stick my tile in that. You may also try double sided tape. The spinner I use can be purchased on Amazon here

    Thanks for sharing that information. I’ve just started and I am struggling to make cells. I tried silicone oil, glue-all and now Floetrol I purchased here in Canada. Do you use a WHITE Liquitex ink in the Amsterdam Titanium white as a cell activator? I’m glad I found you and I am now subscribed to your channel. Thanks!

    This the first time watching one of your videos. I'm looking for ways to make cells in my paint pours. I'm very very new to this ,just going for it. I don't really have money to go out and buy chemicals. Is there anything at home that would be suited to use to activate cells?
    Btw, I like the first one you did of the three. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I appreciate this video very much.

    I found there are 2 minwax prestain wood conditioners. One is for oil and is in the red can. The other is water based. Which is the correct one to use...oil or water? Thanks so much. I've really enjoyed watching this and have learned alot!

    Liked the US Floetrol, with Minwax wood conditioner drop and Amsterdam Titantium White as the Cell activator since I reside in the US and Australian Floetrol is too pricey and not easy to get.

      It is pricey but I suggest trying a small bottle. Over all it pays off if you like it better 😃 you use very little and it lasts a long time Good luck

    Thank you for this. I’ve been wondering about the floetrol issue. Not sure if I should invest in the Aussie- it’s so expensive lol. Do you think it’s worth it?
    I noticed you have the water based minwax, some swear by it and others say the oil based is better bc the oil helps w cell formation. Have you tried that yet? I do like the minwax one a lot. Super informative video 👍🏼.
    P.S. I’m from Boston, did I hear a bit of a NE accent in there? 😉
