The amount of work on restoring is mind blowing - amazing restoration and craftsmanship patience- beautiful- my son lives on a sailboat in St. Petersburg fl - he fixing to got thru a second hurricane im worried sick - he made it damage free the first one.
Hope you're SAFE Homie!!!! Love the Boat!! I am on my 1st a little 14 Vagabond daysailer, your videos are what got me going and I am now ADDICTED to all things sailing and restoration!!!
Im just starting a sailboat resto myself. Interested to know if you, or whoever, painted the mast black or is it anodized? Would love to paint mine just not sure about how it would hold up. Awesome restoration by the way!
Great Video ! Just subscribed - What kind of wood did you choose to replace the rotted floor timbers ? Are you pleased with your Choice ? If not, what alternative would you recommend ? Also, I see you are stepping your mast on the deck house. Do you use some type of Stepping brace from the keel to the underside of the cabin top ? Thanks
Thanks! The timbers are oak. I'd definitely recommend oak or a strong dense long lasting wood. No mast support in the cabin, the arch design is enough for the needed support. 🤙⛵️
Wow! All those hours of hard work paid off. Number 11 looks beautiful!

Congrats on her first launch. ❤ you have really made her into a sharp boat considering what you drug home a year ago. Happy days at her helm.

Freaking awesome!
I was wondering how you were going to get that deep keel in the water. Congrats!!
Love the video!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! She is a beaut!! Just as an FYI, Elle means "she/her" in French.
Looking very nice. No cabin doors on those early Marinas, eh?
G'day to you, I take my Hat of to You, job well done Mate! Armadale West Aust.

Thanks! I really couldn't tell you on the mast. I believe all of the Spindrift Mariner models have the black mast and boom.
@restrothunderroad I gotcha. I'll probably try painting it.
Nice restoration effort. What was with the truck stalling so often at the haulout though? 😮
The little 4 cylinder engine was struggling. 😄
Nice work! congratulations! got curious about the tool in the 27'10''! How does it work?
it's called a ticking "tic" stick. Good for getting measurements on curved surfaces. 🤙⛵
