Most of the comments that try to be funny just feels like a crap critique and comes out completely rude. What an awful episode and completely unenjoyable.
Even if Dear Evan Hansen is a very good and moving show (if you are a teenager), it's more a play with good pop songs in it and where's the dancers ? Wheres's the magic of a Broadway show? Now it's all gonna be with small cast and videos screen ?
Like i say previously, it"s a good show and if it brings teens and new musical lovers in the feather, that's a very good thing and just for that , praise DEH :)
Tommy Marcus deh is so much more than just a good show... choreography and huge numbers are not the causation of great musicals. Deh takes a different approach to storytelling which made it all the more special. I do believe that the great comet was a very immersive and entertaining spectacle, but deh has gone far and beyond the job of musicals: it connects with the audience on such a deep and emotional level and has a very complex story to accompany the great score. Deh is a clear best musical winner for me. I feel like ever since it got super popular, more and more people hate on it but it truly is an amazing show. Those who say the great comet got robbed, that sometimes happens when it comes to award shows. Waitress and so many other musicals got robbed last year because of Hamilton which deserved all the attention. Deh deserves all the awards it was given, not only because it is the most popular musicals of the season, but also because of the beauty behind everything that it represents and how great the entirety of the production is.
Looking forward to this show and to the Tonies Sunday.
Congrats to THEATER TALK!!
WOW. Your comments on Come From Away are disgusting.
Donald Belliveau: To whom specifically are you directing this comment?
I agree. That was out of line of them
Congrats on the Emmy!
It's funny how they completely ignored the Best Actress In a Musical category since it was such a fait acompli.
