After seeing the latest episode I must disagree. He put Effie's ass in checkmate by recording her openly admitting to killing Lauren. And with Monet Tejada supporting the idea of setting her up to save Diana. There isn't shit her or Cane can do to retaliate against Tariq since he has Monet's and Noma's favor. That's why he is the king of the goddamn chess board in this game of Power.
