Hot take. The only quality season of Ghost was season 1. Entertaining? Yes. Good? No. Season 4 was the worst of them for all of the reasons you outlined.

The whole point of detective Carter coming into this story was to find out the murder of Angela Valdez nephew death that Tariq did, and for some reason his entire storyline falls off the map

Yeah this universe is cooked. It got too big for its own good. You just can’t end a show in 4 seasons & expect it to be good. The universe became too over the top. Too many characters & just not focusing on Taruq deciding whether he wants to be the next Ghost or his own man. We should have had a time skip with an okder Tariq

Something major that no one talked about in regards to Junior Valdez and the jump drive… Cooper Saks was killed before the conversation about green cards happened between Obi and Tariq (Ep 308) sooo how did Saks know about Tariq getting green cards?? Man I was waiting for an episode in the second half of the season for tariq and cane to have a scene where they go against each other. When tariq said in episode 5 to cane “sure will” they made it seem like something was going to go down between the two in the second half, which would have been cool to see. Came realistically would wipe the floor with Tariq but the writers favour tariq so he would win. Maybe they gave up on that because they didn’t want to kill came off as a character. Idk this season was kind of a mess, I blame it on the fact that they have a different writer and director for each episode, so there isn’t much consistency

2 Bit technically didn’t know it was Tariq who took the car, that’s why he was yelling “that’s my car”. So this isn’t a huge plot hole. I think Tates spin off is coming back as well

Another thing I didn’t like with book 2 in general is how yas never asks about ghost or even raina for that matter. No questions like why do we have to change our names why do we keep moving nothing. Its like they made her ok with everything thats happening

Why was Tariq willing to accept being a father but yet didn't want to get Diana pregnant again? How come Noma's brother didn't do any research on Tariq before accepting his offer? No revenge from the Russians after 2 of their own was killed or who decided that Tariq is in charge?

They never gave us Effie’s detailed background, I hate that they waited until the last season. Yet it was so short, I feel robbed

I hate the direction they took Tariq smh I’m glad he ended up on top but from a storyline standpoint what did he do to earn it? he was moving reckless all season and didn’t live up to any of that apex predator stuff he claimed. But aye episode 1 was amazing

Good video. Though you are speaking as though the Power Universe as a whole is over. All or at least most of the plot holes were left purposefully. Of course there has to be something to connect and transition with the next set of shows. Context clues are everything! If you sit back & think about it for example, I’m pretty sure that we’ll end up finding out that Effie was lurking somewhere in the background waiting in case something happened. Dru and Di got arrested so Effie just left with Can. And that’s y she was there to patch him up again the way she did before. They all knew the possibilities of the situation. So I’m sure Cane plans accordingly. He could not have just limped off on foot and made it to a hotel. Pretty sure he just had to make it to the car. Carter’s story will most likely continue in some way. He won’t take this L quietly. I won’t go into all the other situations but you get my drift. ❤😊

Power book 2 is basically a rated R spy kids movie

I couldn’t agree more, Rudy, on why would they leave Cane alive. Here’s my major issue with how the series ended: This spinoff became Power Book II: The Tejadas. Dirty, disrespectful Diana goes from college student to heart-of-stone wannabe drug dealer. Dru is off to pursue his dreams in Paris. Even Monet was given a chance to reconcile with her children -two of whom wanted her dead. And all the while, Tariq’s character arc was nonexistent, IMO. He became a supporting character in his own series. There’s no reconciliation between why he killed Ghost and why he accepts being like the man he hated. And all these plot orgasms about Cane and Tariq in the Chi with Tommy?! C’mon, when Cane’s wanted Tariq dead since season 1, and Tariq’s agreement with Monet is the only reason he never tried to kill Cane. Tariq still doesn’t know how to fight and he’s at the top of the game?! I mean, Ghost’s one-line letter when Tariq was in jail could’ve also included a diagram for landing punches! Something to show Tariq’s growth.

The final episode was totally rushed. they tried to cram everything in one episode and left out some scenes we would have liked to see, like when they went back to congressman Tate with the info on Carter. The plot holes this season was incredible as well as the characters we didnt get closer on.

You're right about the Writer's strike and SAG strike's impact becuase that meant they had to pay everyone their worth based on the success of the show. But Starz wanted to be cheap so they cancelled rather than reward all cast , crew and production for the continued success of Book 2
