I believe he’ll be back but not in the physical form the longer this takes they’ll have to explain where he’s been & what’s he’s been doing this whole time.

Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora are kinda like their characters in real life because a few years back Joseph Sikora did an interview where he said that he knows that people will always know him for playing Tommy and he’s fine with that because that means that he played the role so well which is similar to Tommy who is completely fine with being just a drug dealer Omari on the other hand doesn’t want to be known as just ghost but as Omari Hardwick the actor but still can’t manage to escape ghost similar to how ghost wanted to be more than a drug dealer and be James St.Patrick but was never truly able to escape ghost and the life

FACTS!! I saw and heard Omari Hardwick on GM America say that he wanted to leave the show because he didn’t want to be type-casted as a drug dealer. So I can only imagine how tired he probably is of people asking him if and when he’d return to the Power Universe to play a role he doesn’t want to play. In fact, if you look at his career after Power, he hasn’t been that active. Power made Omari as relevant as Omari made Power and they’ll always be linked together.
James St Patrick is one of the best TV show characters in the last 20 years

If he returns or not, I salute him for his character GHOST, he was/is legendary
Just like James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano and Bryan Cranston as Walter White…Omari was able to bring a villain to life and give him so much depth and complexity that we can’t help but root for him. His performance as Ghost was one of a kind and seeing that Starz/show runners didn’t value him is heartbreaking. This man gave everything to this character and single handedly carried the show, he should’ve had complete creative freedom.
Omari Hardwick was and still is a mystery to the Power Universe.

Its Bizarre to me that Monet and Lorenzo act as if they never knew Ghost Tommy or Kanan. Like they were the biggest/most dangerous hustlers in the city. Ain't no way they couldn't have known because they would've had to know to steer clear from them if they weren't doing business with them.

I have two reasons as to why 1 ghost, Tommy and Kanan were way above monet and Lorenzos pay grade so they wouldn’t even been on the radar 2 even though Tariq has been built up as the new ghost I feel like Courtney kemp wanted him to be his own man that’s why nobody on the show other than the characters from the original power refer to him as ghosts or James St.Patricks son he’s just Tariq St.Patrick and if the tejadas knew who ghost was they would look at him as ghosts son

I accepted long ago that Ghost may never return in any fashion. If you remember in season 6 of og power they used to have those recap shows after the episodes with Terrence J hosting it, I thought it was a red flag then that Omari didn’t appear on the panel but he did a vague exit monologue
It’s going to be tough for Omari to transcend Ghost. Denzel and Al had other roles where they were the star and delivered amazing performances so much that you have to pick which one was best. Omari on the other hand hasn’t had anything yet where he’s been basically the lead. And that’s fine. It’s like James Gandolfini. He had plenty of other roles in movies and shows but nothing as close to his portrayal as Tony Soprano. That character defined his career. It’s tough to beat that but he knows what he has to do to better it and some actors never get an iconic role.

Omari isn’t not wrong! The entire series continues to have sons kill their fathers. Tyriq, Tommy, and Kanan all shot their fathers. Lorenzo was killed by Dru’s boyfriend. I don’t like the pattern of the death of Dads when I personally think that the Dads are the better parent in all of these situations.

I feel what a lot of people don’t or refuse to realize is that the current power shows as well as other shows on starz are ending and being replaced with spin offs is because it’s a way to save money and get out of paying the actors more money so it wouldn’t make sense for them to bring back the man who wants more money

Folks behind the scenes of the Power Universe have serious daddy issues, for sure. Teresi. Howard. Walter Flynn. I agree with Omari’s take on Tariq killing him and the negative black father image it left. Even with Tariq hating Ghost for their broken home, how much more would he add to Tariq’s current life choices if he’d died by someone else’s hand? A lot. Not to mention the depth of storytelling we could’ve enjoyed.

I’ve personally always felt that Ghost was dead. To me, it made sense honestly. Power has never been a fairytale. Would it have been “fair” for Ghost to have been taken out by his own hand (referring to the Tommy thing), sure, but as we saw in the episodes leading up to his death and seasons prior, it felt, imo, that he had it coming. And I thought that the writing that made it out to be his son holding the gun, was a profound end to a legendary run. Could things have been different? Yes, but it made sense to me. With that being said, I hate what transpired behind the scenes and I agree that he should’ve had more pull with the writing of his character. That’s all. Loved the video and analysis as usual Rudy!

However since he made the statement about being sold one story blah blah blah.. He isnt wrong Courtney herself even said it.. Had to rewrite some stuff.. And im still mad they be playing with 2-bits character.. He is another fan favor but since the break up.. We see his character even less

He can't transcend this character. It's impossible and a prime example is the fact that since he ended his run as Ghost, what key or starring even costarring role have we seen him in? I can't think of too many. But guess what? I can think of and point out a number of other roles he's had while still playing Ghost.
In a sense it's as if he slowed down work after leaving Power. Even his interviews became far less outside of ones such as this. And it all seems purposeful on some level. Can't cite what the connection is to the Power Universe but it has to be something for him to have been this low key for this long and we not have still any definitive answers or even clues as to why.
So no matter what roles he had prior to James Saint Patrick or even afterwards---he will always be known as Ghost and he has to own it. Just like the late Richard Roundtree didn't like for years being referred to as Shaft until his father reminded him of how that role is iconic and how it opened other doors for him. And once he realized that, he no longer ran from being seen as that character.

He’s not coming back I think him and Courtney bumped heads a lot and this is y she decided to off him. They had Tariq do it to build his character bc the spinoff was centered on him which was wrong imo.
I been over power for a year now as it doesn’t have the same drive as the original as it’s just a show where they want to run the streets where the original was about a guy trying to leave the life which was interesting
As much as I have clamored and hoped for Omari’s return and as much as the narrative components in Power Book 2 make sense for him to return, I’ve let it go. I’ve divorced myself from the notion that he would return to the franchise.

Yeah even though I'd love for Ghost to come back and I loved what Omari brought to the character but it just doesn't make logical sense from a storyline perspective. Why would Ghost fake his death when he was excited about the potential of being Lt. Governor?

Omari Hardwick didn't mind dying just not by his son. Dre could have smoked James St Patrick and Tariq and Tasha could have set up or smoke Dre to protect Tariq for PowerBook2 Ghost to happen.

In one of the leaked clips from season 6 Tasha killed ghost you can look it up on RUclips it was a version where they actually went with Tasha’s plan , what happened after that is anyone’s guess

Really? Have you looked at the roles he’s played after leaving Power? You can Google it. His career after Power doesn’t appear to be as successful as he’d assumed it would’ve been when he decided to leave the show. It was Omari’s decision to leave the show. He didn’t want to be the guy producers and directors call when they want someone to play a drug dealer. That left the show no other choice but to kill him off so they did. He wants to claim he wasn’t paid enough, yet he got paid what was agreed upon. Powers success made everyone involved relevant. Omari thought that he’d become Denzel 2.0 after Power and the industry proved him wrong so he’s blaming the players and not the game.
The Crew Has It been M.IA for months. That would be big if Omari came to that show. Part of me thinks Omari will be back somehow. If he doesn't hey Omari will forever be loved in the Power Universe
Very possible this is a ploy by him and 50 to put so much space between them that nobody will see him popping up at the end coming. Now if this season goes by and he doesn’t show up in any capacity then yeah it’s time to hang it up because ghost wouldn’t be coming back at that point.

I personally don’t like people coming back from the dead so I’m okay with him not being brought back in a ‘I faked my death’ scenario. However, the fact that they couldn’t get him to show up in some of the flashbacks/dreams we’ve seen in Book 2 and 4 is WILD! Couldn’t even get Omari to read the letter Ghost left Tariq when Tariq got arrested! His presence was missed in those instances. How Tariq dreaming about being in Truth or that one time where he saw everyone he killed and Ghost ain’t there?!?
He needs to get over it. He wasn’t a producer or writer on the show. He was a paid actor so all of this complaining about how it ended is stupid because there’s a group of ppl that loved the ending like me.
