I'm just in love with Senri's drumming
One of the best trios ever in my time. You can react any which way you wish to this incredibly engaging tune: dance to it, revive head-banging or just stand still eyes closed. And it still would get you moved and moving. Senri's closing was simply superb; as were her two soul-mates right from the first notes.👏👏👏

After the album "Cider ..." was released in December 2016, there was unfortunately only a short tour of Japan in September 2017. Philippe, Armand & Senri-san: please come back, worldwide!
She is a freak of nature. Utterly amazing player. Outstanding.
I love musical talent. It is absolutely color blind, race blind. Doesn't care about religion or gender or nationality. It swoops around the World and totally at random it finds a crib to land in.
Freak of nature? Well, I understand you mean it as a compliment, but what I see is somebody who absolutely adores the drums and is fully dedicated to her craft. That’s years and years and years of practice and devotion that we’re seeing. She’s kept up the struggle where many of us would have simply given in and it’s paid off to great effect. And yes, she clearly has a natural talent as well, but it’s been heavily refined through teaching, patience and practice. I have nothing but respect for Senri, we could all do with being a bit more like her.
I understand what you mean, she's unreal. How can someone so young be so talented (and she has been since a very young age). It's her feel for the music that's so amazing.
What I really love about you is that you are a jazz drummer with a rock feeling.
Many jazz drummers are too funky or too gentle, you really punish your kit elegantly.
Metal! Senri is fundamentally a metal drummer!

I love her creativity. She is an artist first. But she is also one of the most precise and accurate drummers I have ever seen.

Fifty years ago (1967) I would save my yen and go to Yokohama and hit on all the jazz bars for the Kirin beer and that magical Japanese jazz. I wish I could do that again, and hear these folks live. My bucket list would almost be complete.
What a musician she is. Kicks that song along in a way that's reminiscent of Simon Phillips, but doesn't overplay her hand musically. Just, wow!!

Where to begin. Articulate timing, superb fills, awesome foot control, just a natural feel that is envious of all of us that have been playing for decades. Just a real treat to watch --and always smiling while kicking VERY serious ASS!!
Absolutely superb. I am listening to it again and again, and it just gets better!
This is one of the many things that make Senri different from other drummers. She is having fun and smiling while she is playing.
And I thought I was tired of MUSIC! I was tired of DULL music, that's all. This is the real right stuff. Need more.

Why is that even needed ? She's an awesome drummer and will do just fine without our "love". She's here because of said skills, a great drummer that just happens to be female while someone like A-Yeon that have risen to fame because of her looks and that happens to be a "drummer" on the side. A-Yeon is hot but it's almost offensive to real musicians when all the thirsty people in her comment section calls her the best drummer in the world. Like that is somehow gonna make them score lol.
@@Sunedosa Hi. I haven't the foggiest who A-Yeon is although I'm pretty certain she's in no way connected with the Japanese Supermarket Chain, AEON!
I gather from your trenchant disapproval of her less than genuine claim to fame and fortune that she's no Senri.
Which makes the latter's gift all the more precious. What the Beatles advocated ought to apply just as much for Senri.
It was just good, clean fun but if my comment inadvertently ruffles your feathers just affect ignorance of its existence or that you never came across it.

@@khairilanuarothman3869 It doesn't ruffle my feathers at all, i don't mind Senri getting a lot of attention because she deserves it from a musical standpoint. I am however tired of the doublestandards and how we/them help perpetuate it. How a lot of us heap praise over less talanted female musicians because they're good looking, sexy, they end up using their looks for views because they do NOT have enough talent to make an impact otherwise.
These women are the musical version of Titty streamers A-Yeon is a korean model "singer"/"drummer" and she's a prime example of this. The skillgap between her and someone like Senri is astronomical yet still you see comments like "best drummer ever" It's just dumb.
@@Sunedosa Ah, I see your point. Worth bearing in mind 2 things. One, Sam Goldwyn may not have been credited with it but sex has always sold. Two, to RUclips's whose mentality is so inclined, this A-Yeon chick could tap Baa baa black sheep and she'd still get the wolf whistles and the unjustified, unearned accolade as the best whatever. Not so much double standards, I don't suppose, as simple raging hormones and dubious critical appreciation of the arts.
For me, something intangibly lovely emanates from Senri's person when she's at work. That's the extent of it and not to be confused with prognostications on her chances at the Miss Japan pageant.
I don't suppose you've come across a video of a then 7 or 8 year old Japanese cherub, Yoyoka Soma, who played John Bonham's drums on Good Times Bad Times by Led Zeppelin that impressed Robert Plant himself. If you have, kindly share your thoughts on that, allowing for the fact that a kid not only knows LZ but play it rather well.

@@khairilanuarothman3869 The double standards are about some women doesn't mind being treated as objects of our desire when it suits them and pays the bills. On one hand respect is demanded, equal rights and equal pay is demanded yet there a whole host of women actively or by negligence working against that by selling themselves on IG, for likes , influence and sponsorships posing in next to no clothes at all. Feminisms biggest enemy is women themselves, fuck solidarity if you can make a buck showing your ass in a thong.
I found Hiromi and Senri the same day and Kanade the day after. Then I fell on Casiopea. My car music took a new turn.
