Been following Senri for years now. I am 70 yrs old, a professional musician most of my life. I have sat in the audiences of Buddy Rich, Dave Weckl, and performed with some great drummers but I enjoy watching and listening to Senri more than them all. Her tone, the power she plays with and that beautiful smile keep me coming back for more. The musicians in this video are truly extraordinary! Thanks for reposting!
Also 70, and at least competent on piano, trumpet, and drums. I even had the great privilege of doing the 'official' recording (and mix down) of the 'Birthday Concert' of Louie Bellson at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo in 1977. Louie and the guys invited me to hang with them afterward. Wow. Memories. And then there's Senri. Truly the Queen of the Kit. Just adorable - and she does THAT! Such precision. Such musicianship. And SO MUCH JOY.

I've listened to this dozens of times, and it always brings a smile; but this time I finally paid overdue attention to the bass player. WOW. She was goin' mach 5 the entire time, never missed a beat or a note. The whole thing is just marvelous. THANK YOU, LADIES!

That bass player is wow....flipping these notes like a cook flips pancakes..her fingers so dexterous...of course if you going to play with Senri and Yucco, you bring your A GAME....the pianist is especially talented and I loved her solo....can’t think what song she referenced in the beginning...but it just fit...
It's quite humbling for an old American man with a little bit of machismo and ego who has played for 40+ years, to realize that there are Japanese teenage girls (this is 9 years old so now they're young ladies) that absolutely blow you away and already are many levels higher than you'll ever get to. Sure, there have been many other musicians far above me, but having them be Japanese teenage girls, who are also 1000X nicer to look at, and as I've found out are just the sweetest and kindest people, and being so young are actually going to get even better (scary thought), makes me feel even more like a hack.

Every time I watch this clip I am finding new things to love. Signs of super talented jazzbo musicians. Yucco wailing on the horn like a cross between Trane and Sonny Rollins...Senri, the first time I heard you open the tune, I thought of Billy Cobham. What steady, powerful drumming. Bass? She is going along 1000 miles an hour, never misses and her solo...SWEET. Yhe keyboard player is wow....amazing...delicate and super inventive....BRAVO

大西さんは、声はアニメのような萌え声ですが、演奏は並の男よりずっと男前で、野生味と同時に、初期のフリージャズのどろどろとした情念を感じさせる演奏をするすごいプレーヤー。
ここでは相当抑えていますが。
ある程度音楽の分かる人にしか受けないかもしれませんが、これをきっかけにもっと有名になって欲しいですね。
