I just read some of the comments regarding her drumming, and I found a few of comments from the 46 brain dead idiots that gave this a thumbs down. One person mentioned that females should not play drums especially Asian ones. And here I thought neanderthals where extinct. Another guy put her up there with Ringo Starr. Seriously???? (not a thumbs down, but utterly ridiculous) It is amazing what people can come up with, to shoot down a prodigy like this. NO ONE has the right to criticize this Drummer. The amount of work (at the ripe old age of about 22) that she has already put in to master her craft, along with her insane gift, only command respect . She is one of the best already, and only getting better. So, to all the haters out there. Put up some of your videos, so we can see your Talents. I have a feeling they are going to be a bit underwhelming. Keep on killing it Senri, nothing but respect for ya.

She is only going to get better if she makes it her profession since she is doing a Bachelor of Social Science now while drumming at this level. Alright, she is not of their level YET but is still a very bright light on the scene.
Absolutely one of the best drummers I've heard in my 62 years. I listen to all styles of music (Jazz, R&B, hip hop, classical, classic rock, metal, Japanese metal / rock, blue grass, progressive rock & jazz, big band, Latin pop and jazz, K-pop, J-pop, show band) and Senri can do it all. When she's been playing for 10 more years with the pace she has now it is hard to imagine any drummer being better!

Not just the endurance, speed, and accuracy, but the nuance, and the crispness and sensitivity in her hi-hat work, etc.

And honestly, do you think Lang, Donati or Sucherman were slouches at 20? I think she is great. But saying she's better than pros in the business for decades is poor judgement.

Very well said! Agreed. I don’t know much about drumming but I had a similar observation with world class vocalists. When you’ve mastered something and engraved it to your muscle memory, at some point it probably gets converted from a deliberate action to involuntary reflex which is why it ends up seeming so natural and effortless.

This is simply AWESOME & inspiring!!! As a guitarist who loves & plays fusion music, I think she's incredible!!! Plus, for any drummers out there who want to perform live but are held back by either clubs who only insist on pop/Rock covers & or other musicians that are hard to deal with, if you want to put together a jazz/fusion solo drum show, here's proof that even a drummer can perform live with backing tracks, so cool to that finally drummers can gain the spotlight!!!
